the safety and stability of the rotor system is crucial to the pump-turbine unit. the present paper analyzed the modal characteristics of a variable-speed pump-turbine rotor system based on the rotor dynamics theory and FEM method. the results show that the bending mode of the rotor system exhibits the forms of forward whirling (FW) and backward whirling (BW). the added mass effect will reduce the natural frequency of the rotor system, and it is more obvious for the torsional mode Torsional 1. In addition, the critical speed analysis shows that both the critical speed of the dry mode and wet mode of the rotor system is greater than 700rpm, which proves the safety of the unit. the results of the analysis can be used as a reference for the optimized design of similar variable-speed pump-turbine rotor system, which is conducive to the improvement of the reliability and life of the rotor system. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Based on the research of overvoltage on 500 kV typical AC cable transmission line, frequency transient temporary and slow-front switching overvoltage of cable under typical metal sheath wiring mode and high voltage reactor configuration schemes are simulated and calculated by ATP- EMTP program. the insulation coordination of 500 kV cable line is carried out. the research shows that the highest frequency transient overvoltage value of cable line is 1.39p.u..the rated voltage of lightning arrester on line both ends is recommended to be *** highest phase-to-ground switching overvoltage along the cable line closing operation is 1.92 p.u., the highest phase-to-ground switching overvoltage along the cable line switching-off overvoltage is 2.05 p.u. when SF6 circuit breaker is re-ignition and the highest switching overvoltage along the line fault unlocking is 1.75 p.u..It is suggested that the line breaker closing resistors on both ends of 500 kV cable line are unnecessary. the rated cable line switching impulse withstanding voltage is selected as 1175 kV. the study conclusions can be used for reference in engineering design for cable project. © 2023 IEEE.

Fizeau interferometry is widely used to measure the surface of optical components and the wavefront aberration of optical systems due to common-path configuration, high accuracy and easy implementation. However, due to the existence of wavefront slope, when the transmission light is not perfectly perpendicular to the reflection flat (RF), the gap between the RF and the test piece will cause the reflected beam to be slightly misaligned from the transmission beam in the transmission test, which is also called beam walk-off error. If the beam walk-off error is less than 1/4 of the pixel spacing, its effects can be ignored. In this work, we will analyze the wavefront slope tolerance of 800mm aperture Fizeau interferometry and suppress it by optimizing the design of the beam expansion system, which is the key component that affects the overall wavefront slope. For the camera with 2048×2048 pixel array, the wavefront slope should be less than 9.77μrad to neglect the influence of beam walk-off error within a cavity length of 5000mm. To obtain the 800mm aperture test light, a Galilean beam expander is designed to expand and collimate the 100mm aperture light into an 800mm aperture test light. Compared with the Keplerian design, the Galilean design can decrease spherical aberration by the combination of positive and negative lenses. Tested by interferometry, the slope of the transmitted wavefront of the Galilean beam expander is 3.83μrad, which ensures the high-precision measurement. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Aiming at the problem of the integration of cab safety and sense of safety, the research on the integration of cab shape structure safety is carried out. Firstly, the relationship among shape, function, and structure design is analyzed, and the safety fusion model of shape structure is proposed. Secondly, according to the safety standard of the cab, the finite element modeling and analysis of the cab are carried out. Finally, the influence of structure size on the cab is analyzed. the results show that: since the safety of the cab is not sensitive to the length, width, and height of the structural dimensions, once the structural design of the cab meets the safety requirements, the length, width, and height of the structural dimensions of the cab can be appropriately adjusted to improve the safety and comfort of drivers and passengers. © 2023 SPIE.

the paper includes sensing of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) such as Ethanol, Methanol, Isopropyl alcohol(IPA) and the fabrication of a real-time gas sensor for VOC sensing at room temperature (~27°C) based on Carbon nanotube/Zinc oxide (CNT/ZnO) nanofibers using printed circuit board (PCB) technology. the process started by fabricating a copper-based interdigitated electrode (IDE) sensor on a copper-clad laminate, and then CNT/ZnO nanofibers were drop-casted on the IDEs and rested for overnight incubation. For the synthesization of Cnt-ZnO nanofibers, electrospinning technique is used which is responsible for creation of an IDE-based chemo-resistive gas sensor. the usual adsorption switching property due to "p to n"type characteristic helps in VOC detection at operating temperature (150°C). With ZnO being dominant at high temperatures (more than 150°C) and CNT being dominant at low temperatures (less than 150 °C), the CNT/ZnO nanofiber is especially adept at performing as a dual-mode sensor. this is true even when adsorption switching is used. this study focused on sensing at room temperature. the experiments were conducted using 3 IDE sensors to validate the sensitivity and repeatability of the proposed approach at room temperature. the developed sensor can be employed to detect a minute fraction of organic compounds like ethanol, methanol, and isopropyl alcohol with a change in resistance of 172-271 kΩ, 298-325 kΩ, and 383-415 kΩ and the highest detection sensitivity of 54.35%, 57.90%, and 60.55%, respectively which is the critical range in industrial air quality monitoring & safety control systems to avoid asphyxia and explosion. © 2023 IEEE.

the research study on the "design and Implementation of an AI-Enhanced Mental Health Tool for Academic Stress"addresses the growing mental health crisis among students, particularly concerning academic pressures. the study highlights alarming statistics, such as over 13,000 student suicides in India in 2021 - a 4.5% increase from the previous year and a 70% rise since 2011 - indicating an urgent need for targeted interventions. the academic environment, characterized by high expectations, intense pressure, and fierce competition, places considerable strain on students' mental well-being. Recognizing that one-size-fits-all solutions are inadequate, this research advocates for a personalized approach to address these unique challenges. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is positioned as a key solution in this effort. the proposed AI-enhanced mental health tool aims to provide students with real-time, personalized support. through proactive interventions and individualized assistance, it seeks to revolutionize mental health care in academic settings. this study underscores the importance of innovative approaches to tackling the student mental health crisis. Dc power transmission has been widely used in recent years with low cost, low power and energy loss, high stability and other characteristics, DC power transmission in the technical level there are still some technical obstacles, it for circuit breaker improvement and optimization research level has also received the corresponding attention at home and abroad. As one of the most important components in DC system, DC circuit breaker will become increasingly importan in the future DC transmission technology. In this paper, DC circuit breakers are classified and compared. To combat the present stability issues with circuit breakers in terms of stability, breaking reliability and cost economy, a circuit breaker design scheme based on coupled reactor is proposed. In order to meet the requirements of 500KV DC transmission, the analysis and research of a new coupled mechanical high-voltage DC circuit breaker with current limiting feature are completed. Moreover, PSCAD simulation software is used to verify the scheme's viability through computer modeling. the scheme more effectively inhibits the short-circuit current rise rate and the on-state loss increase, reduces the solid-state switch consumption and capacitor size, so that the cost is better controlled and the low cost and low loss is realized. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimizing the Low Voltage Ride through (LVRT) performance of Doubly-fed Wind Generation (DFWG) has always been an important task to improve the operational reliability of wind turbines. For this purpose, this paper put forwards a novel DFWG with enhanced LVRT performance, which adopts Grid-forming (GFM) strategy based on virtual synchronous control. First of all, the topology of DFWG and the performance requirements of LVRT are presented respectively. then, the mathematical modeling and control strategy designs of the grid side converter and rotor-side converter of DFWG, also with the GFM strategy are carried out, respectively. On the basis, a complete GFM-DFWG control structure is formed finally. A typical simulation case and analysis is carried out to by setting several types of disturbance or faults at different occurrence time, corresponding to various voltage drop depths. Simulation results reveal that GFM-DFWG can adapt to greater LVRT depth ranging from 0.2p.u. to 1.0p.u. caused by different disturbance or faults. Even when the grid-connected voltage of DFWG drops by 0.8p.u., it is still able to recover to 0.9p.u. within about 150ms, although the oscillation amplitude and recovery time of the major U-I parameters may have an expansion as the LVRT depth increases, thus verifying the excellent fast response and voltage support effect of GFM. © 2024 IEEE.

As a crucial component of railway transportation, the safety protection measures for local railway shunting are inadequate. the design of a shunting protection system that fulfills the requirements of the local railways is essential in guaranteeing safety during shunting operations and also enhancing efficiency in shunting operations. the vehicle-ground radio communication serves as a key link in shunting safety protection, which is closely related to the safety and efficiency of train operation. In this paper, the systems Modeling Language (SysML) is used to analyze the process of vehicle-ground radio communication. We propose the activity diagram probabilistic model description method based on discrete-time Markov chains to convert the SysML activity diagram into the probabilistic model, which can provide a reference for the formal verification and analysis of the SysML model and reduces the difficulty of directly using formal methods. We analyze the reliability of vehicle-ground wireless communication under random conditions. And the system's control capability is further enhanced through the optimization of vehicle-ground wireless communication transmission strategy. the results hold significant reference significance to the improvement of shunting efficiency and the design of shunting protection system. © 2023 SPIE.
