Additive manufacturing is a relatively new process, so it needs many studies to be able to produce parts with the required properties. this is the reason why this domain has had a sustained development in recent decades. this paper is focused on the comparison between the mechanical properties of ONYX material determined by tensile testing and the results from a Finite Element analysis (FEA). the use of simulation will allow a significant shortening of the design time of new structures. the application of FEA for the tensile testing of 3D printed specimens led to the results close to results obtained by the real tensile tests. Difference between the values obtained by real tensile tests and values obtained by simulation are up to 6.19%. the simulation was applied for the printed specimens from a single material. the results of applied FEA are close to results obtained by real testing. © 2022 TAE 2022 - Proceeding of the 8th International conference on Trends in Agricultural engineering 2022. this paper presents a theoretical analysis of a Dual-Input Cuk-Based Converter. the primary feature of this converter is the application of voltage sources with distinct characteristics, such as batteries and solar panels. Consequently, the proposed topology can offer improved load-sharing capa-bilities between the input sources. the primary advantage of the proposed topology is its ability to reduce the duty-cycle value required to achieve maximum gain. this is in contrast to classical Cuk or Boost converters, where the maximum gain is achieved with a duty-cycle of around 94%, a value that can be challenging to attain in experimental results. In contrast, the proposed topology achieves maximum gain with a duty-cycle of approximately 80%. Initially, the state-space model is evaluated with parasitic resistances, and then the model is validated through simulations in Matlab/Simulink. Finally, an analysis of the stress applied on the semiconductors is presented, the static voltage gain is conducted to determine its optimal operating region, as well as an efficiency analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

Using Maxwell 3D to simulate the measured values of wind farms is susceptible to distortion, resulting in mismatches between the analyzed thunderstorm field strengths of different main towers and the actual thunderstorm field strengths. therefore, it is necessary to design a new simulation and analysis method for thunderstorm activity patterns in wind farms. that is, to correct the thunderstorm data of the atmospheric electric field instrument, combined with the fitting of lightning current amplitude and lightning probability, to establish a simulation model for the thunderstorm activity law of the wind farm, and complete the simulation analysis of the thunderstorm activity law of the wind farm station. the example analysis results show that the thunderstorm electric field strength of different main towers analyzed is in good agreement with the actual thunderstorm electric field strength, which has good analysis results, reliability, and certain application value. It has made a certain contribution to reducing the thunderstorm risk of wind farm stations. © 2024 SPIE.

the demand for high data rates and increased service quality for end customers isconstantly growing as a result of the recent improvement and spectacular progress inthe field of wireless communication technology. the patch antenna that is proposeduses a ground structure with imperfections to reduce resonance and enable widebandoperation with a substrate thickness of 0.203 mm. the performance of a prototypeantenna was measured and confirmed, and it was determined that the simulated andmeasured findings were in good agreement. Radiation pattern, Retan loss, VSWR,and peak gain will be calculated for the proposed antenna. To achieve better gain forwideband DGS is used by reducing the size of the antenna. this antenna is mainlydesigned for biomedical applications in the Ka-band. © the Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

Bone grafting is a commonly adopted practice used to rebuild the damaged bone. Because of the composition of corticocancellous bone present at the ilium, it is considered as a preliminary site for bone harvesting. Preliminary studies showed that the extraction of bone for grafting procedures is generally carried out without plan and rehearsal which cause post-surgical complications. As a procedure, a three-dimensional model of pelvis was developed from a computed tomography dataset and then analyzed using Abaqus® software. Results showed that the 5.30 MPa stress developed on the pelvis before harvesting bone was greater at the anterior sacroiliac joint followed by 4.40 MPa stress developed on the ilium and 0.96 MPa on iliac crest regions. the magnitude of post-harvest stress at iliac crest was found to be minimum (2.20 MPa) for rectangular bone harvesting pattern than triangular pattern. the outcomes of this study can be used to prevent pelvic instability. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

the vulnerability of security systems to Power analysis (PA) attacks, exploiting the analysis of current from the system's power supply, poses a serious threat. Embedded memories, a critical component of these systems, often utilize 6T Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) cells. However, Side-channel PA attacks can be launched against common SRAM cells because of the intrinsic connection between the written data and current characteristics. In our prior work, we introduced a security-focused 7T SRAM cell [1], incorporating an additional transistor and a two-phase write operation to significantly mitigate the relation between power consumption and stored data while write operations, providing resistance against such attacks. In this paper, we present a security-oriented 8T SRAM [8] that leverages a sleep transistor to reduce the power consumed by the security-oriented 7T SRAM. Additionally, we introduce a 10T SRAM that fulfills the functionalities of the security-focused 8T SRAM, offering benefits such as faster access times, improved stability, and reduced leakage current. Implemented in a 90 nm technology, the proposed SRAM cells exhibit approximately 250% lower Static Power Dissipation compared to the original security-oriented 7T SRAM [1]. © 2024 IEEE.

As a type of modern bionic robot, the wheel-leg hybrid quadruped robot has become a popular research focus of related scholars both at home and abroad. this is due to its flexible motion performance and strong environmental adaptability. this article first summarises and analyses the related research results of the wheel-leg hybrid quadruped robot, especially focusing on the leg structure. Mirroring the movement characteristics of quadrupeds in nature and the characteristics of bone structure, a relatively novel wheel-leg hybrid quadruped robot wheel-leg structure is proposed. Based on the combination of the wheels and legs, a parallel mechanism is adopted as the structural design. the carrying capacity and overall rigidity of the robot are improved by replicating the composition of the skeletal structure of four-legged creatures in nature. At the same time, the kinematic model of the leg structure is established to analyse the movement characteristics of the robot. the kinematic and dynamic simulation of the single wheel-leg structure of the wheel-leg hybrid quadruped robot were performed using ADAMS software to verify the accuracy of the mathematical model. By setting two methods of sine drive and STEP function drive in ADAMS software, the designed gait sequence is simulated to verify the stability of the designed gait when walking. Provide reference basis for motion control.

Respiratory diseases remain one of the major problems of public health, and early identification of these diseases benefits patient management, disease treatment and contagion control. During COVID-19 pandemic, using cough sound analysis to classify respiratory diseases seems promising. In this study, a deep learning network (VGGish-BiLSTM-attention) is implemented. It employs pre-trained VGGish structure, bidirectional long-short-term-memory (BiLSTM) and attention module, and besides, an output layer is followed for feature fusion and disease classification. Meanwhile, data augmentation, cough sound representation and transfer learning are used for performance boosting. On the COUGHVID database, a binary classification problem ('maybe-covid' versus 'no-covid') is formed, and the proposed network achieves the state-of-the-art result (accuracy 92.41%;precision, 92.59%;recall, 91.97%;F1-score, 92.23%). the ablation study indicates that data augmentation contributes the most with more than 12% increase, and VGGish, BiLSTM and attention module are also important in cough sound based disease analysis. In the future work, more efforts could be made to finely stratify cough sounds and to design advanced models for accurate disease classification and personalized medicine. © 2023 IEEE.

A new practical robust control method is proposed for uncertain collaborative robots with six degrees of freedom, improving their trajectory tracking performance. the MPDP controller combines a model-based PD control and a robust control algorithm. Lyapunov theory analysis proves that this method ensures uniform boundedness and final boundedness of the system. Simulation results show that the MPDP controller outperforms the traditional PID controller, providing better robustness and smaller steady-state tracking error. © 2023 IEEE.
