the internal flow field of a specific model of hydraulic torque converter exhibits turbulence, resulting in suboptimal efficiency under the designed operating condition. this study aimed to improve the peak efficiency of the hydraulic torque converter by optimizing its design parameters. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis identified turbulence predominantly within the pump impeller region. Parameterized modeling of the pump blades was conducted, and an automatic optimization process was implemented. A Meta-model of Optimal Prognosis (MOP) was developed based on 250 sample points, and was then utilized to continuously optimize the blade parameters through evolutionary algorithm (EA). the results indicate an increase in the efficiency of the optimized torque converter from 82.2% to 84.34%, accompanied by a widening of the high-efficiency range (η≥75%) from 2.26 to 2.44. Furthermore, the torque coefficient of the impeller was enhanced. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Optical devices based on photonic crystal superiorly concentrated by various investigators turns to be crucial need in various integrated applications. this research proposes a four channel wavelength division de-multiplexer (WDM) based on photonic crystal ring resonators (PhCRR) that are appropriate for various applications. this work uses 4-resonant rings with varied geometrical factors to complete the de-multiplexing task. the de-multiplexer includes two photonic band gap regions, and was designed using a square lattice 2D-photonic crystal structure of dielectric rods. the band gap covers the wavelengths for optical communication. the optimal channel spacing for this de-multiplexer and the transmission efficiency is superior to 95%. the efficiency is substantially higher than other approaches. Based on its major role, various design mechanisms and metrics are analyzed and reported. Moreover, the structural design of the anticipated model captures the attention of various investigators owing to its higher quality factor, design flexibility and low loss which fulfills the major applications requirements. Numerical analysis and simulations are done using Photonics CAD software. Here, the main concept is investigating the drawback of the existing approach and resolve in the proposed model. the comparison is helpful in modeling the structure with better performance. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

As the third level of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control (I&C) system defense level, nuclear power plant (NPP) design extended conditions I&C system is gradually attracting the attention of the National Nuclear Safety Administration and design department, and the function analysis and design process of this system is also becoming mature. this article takes the research of the extended conditions I&C system of a new mode pressurized water reactor as an example to show the detailed and complete design process of this system, including the safety function analysis of the process system, the function combing and allocation of the I&C system, the analysis of the limiting conditions, the design of the system structure, and the proposed design requirements. through this study, the standard design process of extended conditions I&C system for NPP design is finally refined, which is also applicable to other I&C subsystems, providing strong support for ensuring the design integrity of the NPP I&C system.

Polyetherketone (PEEK) composite material has excellent comprehensive performance in terms of high and low temperature resistance, self-lubrication, mechanical properties, insulation and shielding, and is of great value to improving the combat technical performance of underwater unmanned equipment. this paper compares and analyzes the performance characteristics of PEEK, fiber-reinforced resin-based composite materials, special engineering plastics, and studies the development technology trends of underwater unmanned equipment and the demand for new materials. At the same time, combined with the domestic and foreign technology development status of PEEK composite materials, the application status of aerospace, weapons, machinery, electrical and electronic, as well as the current self-control technology requirements, this paper puts forward the typical application scenarios and performance advantages of PEEK Composites in Underwater Unmanned equipment. In addition, this article also analyzes key technologies and solutions such as PEEK composite structure design and performance improvement, independent controllable resin research and development, and process technology realization, which provide a useful reference for the typical structural design and selection of underwater unmanned equipment. © 2022 IEEE.

Transit stations are critical points in public transportation systems that determine the capacity and user's satisfaction. Level of Service (LoS) is a key factor used to assess the efficacy of the system and the overall performance. the capacity, the level and the quality of service are mostly considered at the design stage, neglecting operational challenges or emergency circumstances. the ageing population phenomenon poses significant challenges due to inclined mobility due to slower walking speeds, and cognitive and physical limitations which lead to longer dwell and reaction times for elderly passengers (65+). this study develops a pedestrian simulation tool using JavaScript and *** to analyze the impact of age on the total travel times, delays and waiting times, and the Level of Service within a typical suburban railway station. the model consists of two agent classes with distinct attributes such as speed and dwell times, reflecting real-world behaviors. Six scenarios were simulated, each one constituted of a different proportion of elderly passengers. Simulation results reveal that increased proportions of elderly passengers lead to higher dwell times and longer ticketing queues and total travel times. Non-linear trends in platform waiting times and in ticketing queues were reported due to fewer passengers being serviced at the ticketing counters. this research highlights the importance of considering ageing populations in transit operations, offering insights for inclusive, efficient, and safe station planning. the simulation tool can provide valuable insights for different scenarios at the operational level and help in the optimization of the overall performance. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.. Based on MIKE21 hydrodynamic model, the change of diversion ratio and sediment transport at the first canal station in an irrigation area are analyzed. Two-dimensional numerical simulation is carried out by using MIKE21 FM hydrodynamic module, and the split ratio is studied. In the aspect of sediment transport, the transport path and deposition distribution of different sediment particle sizes are simulated by simulating sediment transport. the results show that under the lowest daily average water level, the diversion canal flow can meet the irrigation demand;the particle size of sediment has a great influence on the deposition distribution and thickness of the approach channel at the first station of the canal, and then affects the water diversion capacity of the pumping station. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Essential features of the various cardiac diseases that affect the human heart are provided by the electrocardiogram (ECG). A significant portion of the diagnosis of heart illness comes from the categorization of arrhythmias. An arrhythmia is any alteration to the regular electrical impulse sequence. Conventional techniques for analyzing digital signals, machine learning, and the offshoots, including deep learning approaches are widely used for analyzing and classification of ECG signals and more importantly, for the timely diagnosis of cardiac disorders and arrhythmias. An extensive review of the literature regarding ECG analysis is presented in this document. Also address the computational barriers of machine learning techniques to wearable devices. the study started with a search for pertinent papers and then the gathered data was examined. Examining the assessed ECG features and the machine learning technique for identifying arrhythmias was the second step. the analysis shows that even though the MIT-BIH database requires a large amount of preprocessing work, it chose a sizable proportion of studies. We examine the substantial corpus of literature on pre-recorded ECG data, signal collection, ECG signal processing, and noise reduction, identifying ECG spectrographic states through function technology, classification of ECG signals, and relative perspectives among the examined modules. We reviewed the ultra-modern machine learning strategies for automated arrhythmia detection. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

the paper presents the results of the analysis for the implementation of the transition of the existing 6 kV Substation to voltage class 35 kV with reconfiguration and automation of electrical equipment of the substation - this is a necessary and priority step to improve the efficiency of electrical networks. When considering in detail all the advantages of the presented terminals the most acceptable is the Sepam (Schneider Electric) type relay protection. To achieve safe and reliable operation of the power supply system, the substation must be equipped with microprocessor relay protection devices. In addition to the necessary functioning of the terminals can be equipped with interface parts of the lower stage, which are needed when building an automated design (configuration) of power facilities. the aim of the paper is to study the possibility and implementation of equipping microprocessor-based relay protection of the substation to ensure the normal safe and reliable operation of the substation power supply system. Switch to relay protection and electrical automation device on microprocessor-based element base. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to accurately analyze the acceleration load acting on the general FPSO pipeline system, based on the potential flow theory, the hydrodynamic calculation software is used to analyze the long-term forecast value of the acceleration of the general FPSO under different overrun probabilities, and the calculated value of the fatigue load coefficient for fatigue evaluation is obtained, and the regression analysis is carried out. At the same time, the design wave method is used to convert the acceleration envelope value at any position of the general-purpose FPSO into a fatigue evaluation load, and a simplified formula for acceleration calculation is fitted. the results show that the applicability of the simplified formula is ideal. Provides a simple algorithm for calculating acceleration loads for general-purpose FPSOs. © 2023 SPIE.
