this paper is intended to figure out the cross-section area of tunnel clearance above rail surface for single-track railways in plateau regions. All dimensional relationships are derived by applying the one-dimensional compressible unsteady non-homentropic flow model and generalized Riemann variable characteristic line method, and the equations are iteratively solved by using a numerical method to generate pressure fluctuation in the tunnels on the 160 km/h single-track railways in plateau regions. the economical and technically reasonable cross-section area of tunnel clearance is finally determined based on the comfort indexes. Based on the study results, in order to overcome the great impacts on the physical and mental health of passengers in the plateau environment and improve the operation and service level of railways in plateau regions, it is necessary to improve the vehicle tightness and apply the comprehensive transient pressure index stipulated in UIC 660 as the recommended index for railway construction in plateau regions. the requirements are concluded for the critical cross-section area of tunnel clearance above rail surface and the vehicle tightness index for 160 km/h single-track railways from calculation and analysis.

the dynamic load allowance (DLA) of the bridge structure is an important parameter in the bridge design. In order to study the variation law of displacement DLA and bending moment DLA of continuous girder bridge, taking 2 x 30 m continuous girder bridge and five-axis vehicles as the research object, the road roughness was simulated by the trigonometric series approach. Withthe help of ANSYS and APDL language, the influence of vehicle speeds, vehicle weights and road roughness on the displacement DLA and bending moment DLA are studied. the results show that the displacement DLA showed increasing trend withthe increase of vehicle speed, and bending moment DLA showed increasing first and then decreasing;Withthe increase of body weight, the displacement DLA and bending moment DLA show a gradually increasing trend;Displacement DLA and bending moment DLA do have numerical differences. And the value of the displacement DLA is slightly larger than the value of the bending moment DLA. It is suggested that the displacement DLA and bending moment DLA should be distinguished in engineeringdesign and dynamic load test. the research conclusion can provide reference for bridge structure engineeringdesign and dynamic load test.

the influences of foundation pit (FP) excavation on the deformation of nearby shield tunnels are significant. However, the quantitative analysis of deformation of FP excavation and nearby shield tunnel is still lacking. this study measures the displacement during FP excavation, and analyzes the quantitative correlation between the displacement and convergence of shield tunnel and the displacement of deep soil. the results show that horizontal deformation of nearby tunnels on the side can be estimated by horizontal displacement of deep soil outside the FP. the increment of both horizontal displacement and horizontal convergence of the shield tunnel caused by FP excavation have linear correlation withthe increment of deep soil horizontal displacement. this result can be used to guide the similar cases.
