the equipment system-of-systems (ESoS) plays a crucial role in national defense strategy. Given the myriad challenges that ESoS encounters and the potentially dire consequences of reduced survivability in battlefield scenarios, it is imperative to mitigate the impact of disturbances through effective survivability design. this article outlines a comprehensive approach for ESoS lifecycle survivability design, drawing upon resilience theory. this approach encompasses four key stages: safe protection, reliable operation, effective defense, and emergency recovery. To evaluate ESoS survivability within this framework, a hierarchical analysis is employed. Additionally, we delve into the causal relationships among various indicators at different levels of the survivability evaluation framework. We construct a system dynamics model to assess the resilience of ESoS systematically. To illustrate the application of these principles, we present a case study demonstrating the survivability design and resilience analysis of a specific *** findings reveal a remarkable 194 8% improvement in ESoS resilience against enemy attacks through the implementation of survivability design. Notably, among the four survivability stages, effective defense exerts the most significant influence on enhancing ESoS resilience, followed by safe protection, whereas emergency recovery and reliable operation have comparatively smaller impacts. the proposed survivability design methodology serves as a valuable guide for enhancing the lifecycle survivability of diverse ESoS. Additionally, the resilience evaluation approach we present can validate the effectiveness of survivability designs across various ESoS contexts. © 2023 IEEE.

As the application of electronic signatures in the electric power industry continues to deepen, in order to solve the problem of difficult convergence of inspection data to test report electronic signature process online flow, this paper proposes a design method based on the electronic signature of electric power test report. By standardizing the standard processing of electronic signature document type, seal type, seal shape, seal color, and seal number, the electronic signature platform integrating the business system and authentication system was designed to realize the whole process applications such as automatic generation of electronic test reports, management and approval, seam signing and online inspection of test reports, which effectively enhanced the high efficiency and security of the management of electric power test reports.

Flight test data analysis is the key procedure to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of the project flight test tasks. Currently the amount of the flight test parameters of a large civil aircraft has increased to TB level per test flight. Massive data with the features of accuracy, complexity, unstructured, scientific, systematic, and time-series make the data analysis work more challenging. At the same time, data analysis methods for the flight test safety and effectiveness judgments are not uniform, data analysis process and results are not standardized and data analysis tools difficult to fit the characteristics of flight test data. In view of the high-efficiency, standardization and full-featured functions requirements in the flight test data analysis of the project flight test tasks, a rapid flight test data analysis technology was proposed, which was summarized and extracted from the actual work experience in the flight test of the civil aircraft. And a rapid flight test data analysis software was developed accordingly with the optimized design of data loading, memory management, interactive plotting, calculation and analysis, etc. It has been widely applied in the flight test tasks of multiple types of the civil aircrafts, and significantly improve the efficiency of flight test data analysis. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper aims to present the design, fabrication, testing and validation of a high load and low-cost thermal chamber used in accelerated ageing mainly for pneumatic cylinders. the maximum static design load is around 5kN, enough to satisfy the testing conditions imposed by most of the ongoing projects and it is verified using finite element analysis (FEA). the main aspects considered during the design are modularity, ease of manufacturing, and, of course, good thermal properties. the chamber is built on a metallic frame with 50 mm mineral wool walls which is a good thermal insulator. A 2kW heater is used to heat the thermal chamber and a custom tuned control algorithm is used for temperature control, with multiple approaches being presented. the maximum temperature range foreseen for the thermal chamber is between ambient and 85° C which is obtained with the current setup. Considering all the above, the cost of the materials was about 1000 Euros. © 2022 IEEE.

the general function of social media is for online interaction with many people. Moreover, social media have functions for sharing information, discussing, and giving an opinion media about some topics that a lot of people talk about, one of that media is Twitter. An atopic will show many opinions and different responses from everyone. this study was for making an analysis of opinion from social media Twitter users about the Rancangan Undang-Undang (RUU) Omnibuslaw topic using a Convolutional Neural Network method which is one of the Deep Learning methods. this study has done a sentiment analysis with opinion data from many different people through the tweet they make, Preprocessing and weighting are done using Word2vec which give 84% result accuracy of an algorithm from 10-Time testing. Based on 2.820 tweet data, the result is 1.320 data of positive sentiment, and 1.500 data of negative responses for the RUU Omnibuslaw topic in Indonesia. © 2022 IEEE.

With an emphasis on user-centred design, this study examines the potential and difficulties of enhancing web accessi-bility for those with impairments. the paper reviews the existing literature on web accessibility and user-centered design and presents an analysis of a group of websites where user-centered design principles can be incorporated to improve accessibility for the people with cognitive impairments and visually impaired. the case study indicates that user-centered design can significantly improve web accessibility, by providing interfaces and content that are tailored to the needs and preferences of users with disabilities. the research paper concludes with requirement of more holistic and inclusive approach to web design which will make the web pages for all users, including those specially-ablaed. the findings of this research have practical implications for designers, developers and stakeholders who are working to make the internet accessible to all and contribute to the growing knowledge on web accessibility. © 2025 IEEE.

the transport sector is one of the most important sources of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. therefore, Electric Vehicles (EVs) has received increasing attention in the mobility sector. However, the impact of gender differentiation on the development of the EV industry has not been clearly reflected in the premise that EVs have a great potential for development, and the discussion on the gendering of EVs is still limited. therefore, there is a need for a more comprehensive and accurate analysis of gender differences in EVs, which would be conducive to further understanding female drivers' perceptions of EVs. the purpose of this work is to explore the gender differences in the EV industry and to provide feedback on women's experiences with EVs and related infrastructure. It is expected that this study will not only provide insights into how gender differences exist in the EV industry and how they affect women, but also how to improve the design of EVs and the safety of public charging stations. © Energynautics GmbH.

the monitoring of the stress of the buckle arch steel bar, the pressure of the vault and the concrete strain of the vault were carried out in the new Botanical Garden Station of Xi'an Metro Line 8. the monitoring scheme design is introduced. the monitoring results from the construction stage of the primary support buckle arch to the construction stage of the secondary lining buckle arch are analyzed. the stress characteristics of the buckle arch structure are obtained. the overall steel bar stress of the buckle arch vault and the arch foot shows an increasing trend. the pressure at the vault is transmitted downward along the grille rigid frame to the arch foot, so the steel bar stress at the arch foot is greater than that at the vault. the concrete strain law is similar to the change law of the vault pressure.

the design and operation of variable-speed pump-turbine units is more difficult than that of conventional units due to their adjustable speed, frequent start stop, and forward and reverse operation. Due to the development of variable-speed pump-turbines towards variable-speed, high head, and large capacity, the vibration instability caused by frequent switching between turbine and pump operating conditions is more prominent. the study on the dynamic characteristics of the head cover-bolts-stay ring system is an important guarantee for the long-term safe and stable operation of the units. this article uses the finite element method to conduct modal analysis on the head cover-bolts-stay ring system of a variable-speed pump-turbine. the natural frequency and mode shape are analyzed, and resonance analysis is carried out in combination with the dynamic and static interference characteristics of the variable-speed unit. the research results show that the dynamic and static interference frequency of the unit during the variable-speed process may be close to the natural frequency of the head cover-bolts-stay ring system, which needs to be paid attention to during operation. the results and findings in this article provide theory and practical basis for the research and design of high head, large capacity, and variable-speed pump-turbine units. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. the bending behavior of timber beams in a frame systems of modular timber house or permanent timber house needs to be known, specifically for the mechanical properties of bending forces, modulus of rupture, and modulus of elasticity. these three parameters are important parameters for the purposes of timber beam design in timber buildings both for non-multistorey and multistorey. One of the experimental testing methods in the laboratory for flexural or bending tests is based on the ASTM D143-21 Standard. the purpose of this study is to do the nonlinear finite element modeling of timber beam and experimental testing in the laboratory that is a flexural test to determine the behavior of beams. the scopes of the research, namely the bending behaviors, reviewed are as follows: the parameters of bending strength, modulus of rupture, and modulus of elasticity, the timber studied is Indonesian Berua timber, and bending testing is based on the ASTM standard reference which is D143-21. the method that used in this study is based on experimental tests and numerical analyses to obtain the empirical parameter of the bending strength. the results showed that the average flexural strength of timber with experimental test results obtained by 31.52 MPa, modulus of rupture 46.68 MPa, and modulus of elasticity 4143.51 MPa, while the results of the nonlinear finite element modeling showed the bending strength of 29.33 MPa (% difference with experimental results is − 6.96%), modulus of rupture 49.63 MPa (% difference with experimental results is 6.34%), and modulus of elasticity 3477.19 MPa (% difference with experimental results is − 16.09%). these results show that in general the nonlinear finite element modeling produces values that are close to the results of experimental testing.
