An electroencephalogram (EEG) specifies that the EEG signal capturing the brain's electrical action by positioning the metal electrode over the scalp is undergoing continuous transformation. By generating the electric drifts, the neuronal cells communicate instantly with all others and remain alert, even if they rest or sleep. Epilepsy is defined by uncontrollable, repeated seizures that have a major consequence on patients' quality of life. Electroencephalogram signals continually offer vital physiological data about human brain activity that can be utilized to analyze epilepsy. In this approach, seizures can be classified using EEG signals using a system built on the MLPNN algorithm. It is crucial to design an ANN classifier-based system with higher precision and lower computational sophistication for epileptic seizure prognosis. By partitioning the time string into the duration of 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 and 8192 data samples, the time series' influence on feature length is the major focus of this analysis. We extrapolate that the desired attribute set and MLPNN classifier are more favorable with the proposed technique given the 99.9% prevalent classification precision and high-performance metrics with the desired attribute set. © the Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

With the addition of Chapter 6 Tsunami Loads and Effects in ASCE 7-16, significant analytical effort will soon be required of structural engineers to ensure that susceptible buildings are appropriately designed to withstand tsunami loads. Chapter 6 offers a conservative prescriptive approach to analyzing these loads and effects while also allowing for alternative performance-based analysis. Research into performance-based non-linear analysis for tsunami loading has been conducted by Baiguera, et al. (2022) using the software OpenSees (McKenna, et al, 2010), however this software is primarily used in academia. this study presents a procedure for performing a similar non-linear static pushover analysis for tsunami loading in accordance with ASCE 7-16 using ETABS (CSI, 2018) software. this paper establishes that the use of the procedure described herein can assist in targeted strengthening of a building which can reduce construction costs while adhering to the strength capacity requirements of ASCE 7-16.

this paper presents a review of the state of the art according to the analysis of human gait in people with some kind of impairment in their movement and considering people with visual impairment. A review of the literature on experimental design methodologies for the analysis of human gait using inertial sensors and the most relevant biomechanical gait parameters is presented and described. In addition, the results of a preliminary experimental test are presented using inertial sensors on a normally sighted subject, who walked in a straight line for a distance of 20 meters in total, with a 180 degrees turn at 10 meters distance, to return to the point of origin. this experimental test was carried out twice, the first time with the person with normal vision (CV) and the second time with the person blindfolded, i.e., without vision (SV), in order to simulate the gait of a person with visual impairment. the gait analysis was carried out with the graphs obtained, as they revealed significant differences between one experiment and the other.

Gas turbines blades are subjected to significantly high temperature, pressure, and centrifugal load for prolong period. To withstand this severe operating condition, turbines blades are made up of nickel base superalloy. However, still we observe that creep is one of the dominant failure modes for turbine blade and could cause significant damage to the turbine section. Creep is the progressive time-dependent in elastic deformation resulting from high stress and temperature. Because of above reasons, creep evaluation becomes an imperative part of the turbine design. Creep analysis involves multiple discipline such as aerodynamic, heat-transfer and mechanical integrity. Additionally, conventional creep analysis using finite element model requires defeaturing of models, meshing of geometry, boundary condition application, material definition, solving the model and post processing. the process involves a numerical solution of differential equations that governed these physical phenomena. the above steps need significant time, computational resource, and manpower. the mentioned limitation could be overcome by leveraging data driven techniques for calculating maximum creep strain using system level parameters. In this work, machine learning techniques are explored to predict maximum creep strain in gas turbine blades. Machine learning models will use FEA results as input to predict the maximum creep strain values. Since creep strain is a continuous variable, hence regression-based ML model will be studied. the input parameter used for building the machine learning models are coolant temperature, coolant mass flow rate, hot side mass flow rate, turbine inlet temperature along with blade material. Among all the data, 75% data were used for training purpose and 25% data were used for evaluating the machine learning model performance. In the marine electric propulsion system, the motor is an important part to ensure safe navigation, which should have the characteristics of low noise, low vibration, high performance protection level, etc. the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has the advantages of rapid dynamic response, stable operation, strong overload capacity, high efficiency and small size, which is especially suitable for electric propulsion systems in marine environments. According to the performance requirements of marine motors and the permanent magnet synchronous motor structural characteristics, an electromagnetic design and simulation of a 120kW marine permanent magnet synchronous motor is completed in this paper. Meanwhile, the stator skewed slot is used to reduce the amplitude of harmonic distortion and the additional torque caused by tooth harmonic. At same time, the rotor structure with U-shaped magnetic steel groove is used to enhance the density of power and overload capacity of the motor, expand the scope of motor constant power operation effectively. A prototype with high efficiency, reliability and a small volume has been developed. According to the simulation results, the marine permanent magnet synchronous motor designed in this paper fully meets the design requirements. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Background: Continuous monitoring of patient health statistics becomes a difficult task in hospitals. Manually, it is difficult to monitor the health of the patients in the hospital continuously. Older and unconscious older people in particular need to be monitored regularly, and their relatives want to be informed about their health at every time. We, therefore, propose a revolutionary system that easily computerizes this task. Our device provides an intelligent device for monitoring patient status, which uses sensors to track hospital patients’ health status and informs their relatives in the event of a problem via the Internet. Our system uses temperature, glucose levels and heart rate detection to track health. this task has been proposed to improve the monitoring system by using the Internet of things (IoT) for hospital applications. Result: the suggested system was developed by MAX30100, LM35, ultrasonic sensor and nodeMCU connected to the Internet. BLYNK IoT Android app has already been used to send the notification via Android Application. the remote healthcare monitoring system is also proposed with cloud service and data analytics as to the aiding features. the readings are captured by mobile phone, which acts as the graphical user interface to get the status of the patient’s health. the implemented hardware results illustrate that the suggested model can continuously observe the physiologic parameters and save lives promptly. Conclusion: ML classification algorithms like Regression tree, SVM, and RF analysis for prediction accuracy of patient health data. the proposed RF algorithm’s simulation results provide minimum prediction error and high accuracy compared with the existing Regression tree and SVM algorithm. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Leakage issues, as a key concern for the quality of underground works, have been influencing construction decisions in engineering practice. Most projects still count leakage on site after a leakage problem has occurred and use this to develop a plugging plan, and as leakage is usually assessed after the overall closure, this leads to insufficient attention being paid to leakage in the preliminary work. In this paper, we take the pursuit of economic benefits as the core and safety and quality as the bottom line for the waterproofing project of the concealed channel of the Ecological Centre project. Before construction, we combine the geological and hydrological situation of the site, conduct statistical analysis of the possible leakage risks and finally focus the waterproofing project on the prevention and treatment of deformation joints, construction joints and concrete cracks. design from the aspects of waterproof structure design, raw material selection, construction personnel capacity, on-site construction process, etc., to reduce the risk of leakage of underground passages and ensure the normal use of underground passages. © 2023 the Authors.

In recent years, the Internet industry has been developing rapidly, and various mobile terminal network applications such as short videos and live broadcasts have emerged rapidly, with a sharp increase in the number of users, leading to a rapid growth in network bandwidth demand. Considering that smartphones and other smart terminal devices currently provide multiple wireless network access methods such as WIFI, LTE, 5G, satellite, etc., multipath parallel transmission technology has become an ideal solution. However, most of the current researches tend to refine the scenarios and design the scheduling and transmission mechanisms for specific scenarios, and as the scenarios continue to be refined, the adaptability of the scheduling algorithms decreases, and the avalanche effect of the system caused by the degradation of some links that exists under the heterogeneous wireless networks is not taken into account. Based on the analysis of the above problems, this thesis designs a scheduling and transmission mechanism that can adapt to the changes in transmission traffic while avoiding the avalanche effect under heterogeneous network environments. Compared to the classic minRTT algorithm, the overall transmission delay is reduced by 30% in the test environment, and the transmission bandwidth and video transmission effect are both greatly improved. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, the power supply stability analysis method and simulation verification technology for spacecraft are studied, and the data model for analyzing the matching stability of primary power supply and compressor power supply is derived, the Middlebrook stability criterion and root locus method are used to analyze the dynamic response characteristics and stability of the energy system during the compressor operation, it is used to simulate and analyze the matching between the spacecraft energy system and the load. the key parameters of the system optimization are obtained and applied to the systems engineering design successfully.
