the tasks of improving IT service management systems have been considered. there is a growing problem of the influence of the 'human factor' and the need to implement an ergonomic quality management subsystem and decision support subsystem for the operator-manager based on variant modeling of 'what happens if?' It is proposed to simulate the processes of man-machine interaction in IT-service management systems using the apparatus of functional networks of the scientific school of Professor Anatoly Gubinsky. For modeling the processes of the whole flow of requests and their fulfillment, the technology of simulation diskette event modeling in Matlab-Simulink environment is offered. It is reasonable to use the developed models in decision support systems for IT service management. this will make it possible to select reasonably the number of operators, technologies for executing requests, working conditions at workplaces, as well as to distribute functions between operators, etc. © 2021 ieee.

the digital transformation of business is a process of transition to flexible integration of dynamic systems and platforms, defining new ways to organize the process of value creation. We are witnessing the creation of digital ecosystems based on freely and flexibly integrating modules. Based on a review of theoretical and methodological publications dedicated to the tools for building digital ecosystems-application programming interface (API), the concept of API and understanding of it from the point of view of developer, product manager, business analyst is studied. Its importance for the development of the digital ecosystem is commented. the concept of API economy is presented, which is generally used to denote the creation of a new value based on API. the technical and economic advantages and risks of using the API are indicated. the technical and economic advantages and risks of using the API are indicated. the article assesses the importance of the API strategy for business organizations, discusses some strategies for adapting the API in business systems, and provides assessments and recommendations for choosing an API strategy. Key issues are identified and recommendations for API implementation are given. © 2021 ieee.

this paper is discussed the problems of the short-term forecasting of trend movement stock indices using supervised Machine (Deep) Learning approach. For this purpose, we used Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) based on cells of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and stacking CNN-RNN. the main advantage of proposed approach is that CNN allows to automatically extracting features and hidden patterns from the data, which are pass to the input of the block LSTM for making prediction. For evaluation models we used daily data of five stock indices from 01/01/2015 to 1/06/2021. To assess the forecasting performance, we used the confusion matrix and Accuracy metrics and compared our results with Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) as a baseline. According to obtained results, stacking CNN-RNN outperformed MLP for all time series, but the LSTM model shown better results in flat conditions. © 2021 ieee.

there has been an increased interest of the scientific community in periodic electronic journals, which are included in indexing systems like Web of Science and Scopus. the idea for creating a structure of the platform for periodic electronic publications is to aid the application for inclusion of scientific journals in the electronic databases Scopus and Web of Science, which requires the publisher to implement the selection criteria, strictly established by these systems. this is one solution for a web-based platform, supporting the electronic journals of multiple organizations like universities and educational institutions, each having its own unique design and structure, but all meeting the requirements of the global indexing systems and following the Open Access policies. Even though it supports multiple unique websites, the platform is designed using a single repository architecture, avoiding unnecessary duplications of code and design. the platform helps the organizations by providing them with the software solution for publishing their periodic publications and making sure all requirements and standards are met and only unique and quality scientific articles are published. It uses popular open-source technologies to meet its requirements, so it doesn't require any additional costs for software, except for the underlying server and network infrastructure. © 2021 ieee.

the role of parents in monitoring student academic activities is important. Many students in university fail because of a lack of monitoring and supervision from parents and the university. Most academic information is not channeled efficiently to the parents due to various factors, lack of awareness, the busyness of parents, and limited access to academic information. therefore, a platform is needed for parents to monitor all Student's academic activities easily and efficiently through University App. this study uses the Design thinking method with a special function on Notification and context awareness features to increase the User's attention on monitoring students' progress. the usability evaluation was then conducted to evaluate the solution design's effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. the effectiveness rate is 'Success' on all tasks, while the efficiency result is 0.161 goals/second. the satisfaction rate using the System Usability Scale (SUS) has a score of 86 with the level of 'Very Good,' and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) produces an 'Excellent' benchmark in 6 aspects. the solution design produces an ideal model for parents to monitor Student academic progress using mobile applications. © 2023 ieee.

In this paper we propose a security and cost aware scheduling heuristic for real-time workflow jobs that process Internet of things (IoT) data with various security requirements. the environment under study is a four-tier architecture, consisting of IoT, mist, fog and cloud layers. the resources in the mist, fog and cloud tiers are considered to be heterogeneous. the proposed scheduling approach is compared to a baseline strategy, which is security aware, but not cost aware. the performance evaluation of both heuristics is conducted via simulation, under different values of security level probabilities for the initial IoT input data of the entry tasks of the workflow jobs. © 2021 ieee.

E-Governance has become a major component in the functioning of governments worldwide. E-governance strategies are formulated keeping in view long-term applications, resources, and infrastructure in mind. this study proposes a novel oncoming for optimizing online shopper purchase intent prediction using feature selection combined with Adaptive Synthetic Sampling (ADASYN). A supervised learning technique is applied to predict whether the customer visits ending with shopping or not based on the features. However, not all features are important to predict the classes. In addition, a suboptimal performance may occur due to the imbalanced class problem. therefore, we propose Information Gain (IG) and Correlation (CORR) feature selection to select the most important features. ADASYN is additionally used to deal with the imbalanced class problem by adaptively generating new compositive samples for the minority class with considering density distribution. the proposed approach is run using Random Forest classifier. the experiments indicate that ADASYN successfully improves the classification results in the matter of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. the use of feature selection combined with ADASYN has been compared to previous works, the results indicate that our proposed approach outperforms all. We additionally use a statistical test to show that our results are statistically significant. By these results, our proposed approach is proven for optimizing classification results. © 2021 ieee.

Explainability has become an essential requirement for safe and effective collaborative Human-AI environments, especially when generating recommendations through black-box modality. One goal of eXplainable AI (XAI) is to help humans calibrate their trust while working with intelligent systems, i.e., avoid situations where human decision-makers over-trust the AI when it is incorrect, or under-trust the AI when it is correct. XAI, in this context, aims to help humans understand AI reasoning and decide whether to follow or reject its recommendations. However, recent studies showed that users, on average, continue to overtrust (or under-trust) AI recommendations which is an indication of XAI's failure to support trust calibration. Such a failure to aid trust calibration was due to the assumption that XAI users would cognitively engage with explanations and interpret them without bias. In this work, we hypothesize that XAI interaction design can play a role in helping users' cognitive engagement with XAI and consequently enhance trust calibration. To this end, we propose friction as a Nudge-based approach to help XAI users to calibrate their trust in AI and present the results of a preliminary study of its potential in fulfilling that role. © 2021 ieee
