the configuration of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) in the context of predictive modelling can provide considerable difficulty owing to the complex nature of their arrangements and the need for meticulous hyperparameter adjustment the present study addresses the issue by proposing a more straightforward methodology for configuring Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) through the R programming language the methodology presented in this study offers a systematic and comprehensive framework, ensuring accessibility and simplicity of implementation. this approach aims to enhance the usability of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for practitioners who need advanced machine learning knowledge. In order to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed methodology, a series of experiments were conducted on a case study in sustainable energy research. this study makes a valuable contribution to academic discipline by establishing a connection between artificial neural network (ANN) theory and its practical application. this study aims to enhance the accessibility of artificial neural network (ANN) setup and provide significant insights to further progress predictive modelling, specifically focusing on sustainable energy research. © 2023 ieee.

2020 is the year when we are forced to stay at home most of the time due to CoronaVirus disease. this global pandemic has made some business sector, most notably culinary business, to step down. On the other hand, people nowadays tend to shop more, especially the z-Generation. this kind of characteristics has made most of z-Generation don't have adequate cooking skills. Seeing this opportunity, a well designed and gamified application interface which provides a cooking guide would be loved by most people. Player centered design is one of the new applicable methodology to get to know application users. When designers have to dig more than what user centered design has to offer, player centered design would be a better choice. By comparing some related applications, it is known that most of them lack gamification elements, which actually is a very great opportunity to begin with. the evaluation methods which were being used are System Usability Scale (91/100), Single Ease Question (6.8/7), User Engagement Scale (4.67/5), and Net Promoter Score (40(favorable)). Gamification elements which are applied: onboard tutorial, signpost, icon, rating, badge, Easter egg, reward, progress bar, and unlock-able content. © 2021 ieee.

How to construct a Bayesian network (BN) efficiently and accurately is a hot research topic around artificial intelligence. A classical BN learning method uses A ∗ algorithm to find the best path from the starting node to the target node in the order graph of all the variables. this method maintains the search boundary using priority queue. Although this method can effectively find the optimal path, the cost of maintaining the priority queue is very huge, resulting in requiring large memory. In addition, this method is inefficient and can only process the limited number of variables. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a Bayesian network learning method based on optimizing fringe search (FringeBN). On one hand, we optimize the node order of the bidirectional linked list in fringe search to avoid sorting the nodes and expand the better nodes quickly. On the other hand, we optimize the method of modifying the threshold dynamically according to the characteristics of BN. this approach can help to select a suitable number of excellent nodes for expanding, thus to shorten the node expansion time and improving accuracy. Experiment results show that FringeBN can not only process the data with more variables, but also improve accuracy and efficiency apparently in comparison with several kinds of existing algorithms. Inconsistency, incompleteness, inaccuracy and inexpressibility(4-No problem) in input and outcome of content processing has become a new form requirement in energy efficient computation, storage and communication. To cope this challenge, we propose to map content with 4-No problem to typed Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom and Pur- pose(DIKWP) in the form of DIKWP(content) Graphs. We adopt a purpose driven approach to model subjective content related to stakeholders cognition, as subjective DIKWP Graphs. We combine objective DIKWP(content) Graphs and subjective DIKWP(stakeholder) Graphs to construct DIKWP semantic Graphs. through traversing the DIKWP semantic Graphs under a purpose driven strategy, we expect to locate the content difference and explain the disputation or misunderstanding. We have also propose optimization on the processing in term of reduces cognitive distance and reasoning gaps. We showcase the feasibility of our approach in a lawsuit disputation resolution scenario. © 2022 ieee.

Health informatics is an important field which is responsible for overall growth of the country's healthcare management. Today, cardiac related diseases are dominating around the world requires emerging tools in current healthcare scenario. Also, diagnosis of relevant pathologies should be completed before terminal stage. Traditional health care systems were required high computational cost. To analyze the cardiac status of the patient (subject), Electrocardiogram (ECG) is the main tool. ECG is accomplished in the form of signal consisting of three different waves known as P-wave, QRS complex- wave, and T-wave. Unfortunately, the screening of ECG may have minute variations in the obtained results which can lead to wrong heart treatment. this condition motivated to automate the medical informatics system based emerging tools such as 8 th order IIR Butterworth filter for pre-processing, chaos analysis (or theory) for feature extraction, and random forest (RF) for classification purpose. the proposed technique is evaluated in terms of Recall (Re), Precision (Pr), and Accuracy (Acc) & obtained Re of 99.93%, Pr of 99.94%, and Acc of 99.86%. the proposed medical informatics system adds the merits of computer science, information science, & healthcare which prepares its major applications in intelligent systems, smart pacemaker, critical cardiac therapies, etc.

In software development, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and creative computing can be adopted to utilize multiple-domain knowledges to construct service software possessing creative properties, i.e., novel, useful, and surprising. In the past, several theoretical evaluation metrics have been proposed to measure creativity of a software system. However, a systematic practical method to construct creative service software is rarely considered in current researches. In this paper, we propose a model for creative service software development based on semantic web, which is applied in two phases: domain-creative requirement specification and semantic-based service design. the model can reduce communication work between domain experts and software engineers, improve traceability of the specifications, and improve machine readability during the generation of creativity. After the model of service design is validated for completeness and consistency, the creative service software is well-designed and can be implemented and reused effectively without losing of creativity. © 2021 ieee.

A semantic model of a data source is a represen-tation of the entities and relationships contained in the data. Building semantic models is a prerequisite for automatically publishing data to a knowledge graph. However, constructing these semantic models is a complex process requiring consid-erable manual effort and a high potential for errors. Several approaches have been proposed for automatically identifying semantic models of data sources. However, as the schemata of data sources change, the corresponding semantic models may require amendments. We propose a dynamic semantic modeling approach whereby the semantic model of a data source can be adapted automatically as data sources change. We show that our incremental approach outperforms state-of-the-art systems by an average of 7.4% in the F1 score and that it is orders of magnitude faster than constructing a semantic model from scratch. © 2022 ieee.

the large amount of unstructured educational data is an important data source of educational big data analysis. However, there is a lack of efficient and simple distributed solutions to process these unstructured documents. To address this problem, this study proposes a Spark-based parallel processing framework of large-scale rich text documents (mainly as MS Word documents), which can seamlessly to extend the serial open-source algorithm to distributed computing algorithm to accomplish parallel processing of large-scale rich text documents. We focus on how to achieve non-intrusive deployment of clusters and how Python codes access to HDFS files. the experimental results show that by using 8 physical nodes (with 128 cores all together), the speedup reaches 48 times compared to the standalone Python-docx in the experiments of extracting 232 GB docx files. the experiments also analyze the Spark parameters and explore how to optimize the parameter settings. © 2021 ieee.

Choosing an appropriate supplier involving multiple choices is a complex decision to maximize the overall profit and increase customer satisfaction. this paper proposed the TOPSIS-based method and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFS) to deal with multiplicity in solving food supplier selection. In this study, the qualitative evaluations concerning criteria are described by IVIFS linguistic variables. the linguistic evaluations are analyzed using the ten-step computational procedures including entropy weight of criteria and relative weight. the closeness coefficient and score degree of alternatives is obtained to select the best performer. the findings suggest that the supplier Hex-food (A3) was the most preferred as this alternative scored the highest closeness coefficient and score function and C3 (delivery performance) was the most important criterion. this study contributes to assisting the practicality of business in selecting the best supplier and provides some insights to the potential food manufacturers in choosing the appropriate supplier. © 2023 ieee.
