A framework to predict profit is used to help businesses in a profit-friendly decision making process. this framework is an end-to-end machine learning model which processes the existing data set and compares the result with help of machine learning algorithms and gives the best-predicted value of economic profit. the variables such as expenditure incurred on Research and Development, Marketing, Operations, Sales, Administration etc. that affect the profit margin of a business are determined. Machine learning algorithms such as Linear Regression, Multiple Linear Regression, Support Vector Regression, Random Forest Regression have been used to predict the profit. A random dataset is generated and a comparative study of the algorithms has been carried out and the best accuracy score is obtained to predict the profit using Multiple Linear Regression. © 2023 ieee.

Aiming to enhance trajectory tracking for lower limb exoskeleton (LLEX) robot, this study proposes an intelligent proportional, integral, derivative (iPID) controller based ultra-local model (ULM) to achieve precise trajectory tracking for LLEX, moreover to optimize the controller performance, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) is utilized for controller gains tuning. the LLEX robot with four degrees of freedom (4-DOF) is created using SOLIDWORKS software and then transferred to MATLAB/SIMULINK for simulation and control purposes. Compared with the conventional proportional, integral, derivative (PID) controller, the iPID controller reduced trajectory tracking errors while achieving faster time convergence of less than 0.0001 and 0.00012 seconds for the hip and knee joints, respectively. Specifically, the estimated root mean square (RMS) of the tracking error for the hip and knee joints were 0.0012 and 0.013, respectively, indicating smaller error values achieved by the iPID based ULM model. this performance was further confirmed using integral time absolute error (ITAE), and integral absolute of the error (IAE) metrics. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the iPID-based ULM model outperformed the conventional PID controller and has the potential to improve trajectory tracking for the LLEX robot. © 2023 ieee.

With the development of smart surveillance systems, multimodal violence video data provides enough data source for smart surveillance systems. At present, intelligent violence detection faces two main challenges. One of the important challenges to apply weakly supervised learning for violence detection is to accurately identify normal segments of abnormal videos, and another challenge is how to make full use of visual and audio features of videos. therefore, we explored methods for fusing visual and audio information together with temporal information. We propose a novel neural network containing three parts: 1) co-attention module fusing audio and video features with LSTM to extract temporal information, 2) mutual learning branches with threshold to generate high-quality pseudo labels, and 3) a simple and effective post-processing method to ensure continuity of forecast results. Our experiment results show that the proposed model exceeds the existing state-of-art models on the XD-Violence dataset by 1.92% in AP. © 2023 ieee.

It is usually difficult to communicate with someone who has hearing loss. Sign language is a way of communication used by dumb and deaf people. Each country has its own unique sign language. Being an Indian, it's a pride and identity to develop a system for Indian sign language (ISL) recognition. this proposed system aims to examine the difficulties in classifying signs in ISL and intends to take a step forward in this field by utilizing machine learning (ML) models for gesture prediction. this model is trained using a convolutional neural network (CNN), and then the Densenet169 architecture is utilized to recognize the images. this model has been tested and has yielded the highest accuracy of 99.95% in the classification of signs. © 2023 ieee.

Smart homes are becoming increasingly popular as they offer convenience, energy efficiency, and security to homeowners. However, there are several risk factors associated with smart homes that should be considered before investing in them. One of the main risk factors is security. Smart homes rely on internet connectivity and connected devices, which may be vulnerable to hacking and cyber-attacks. this can lead to breaches of personal data and privacy, which can have serious consequences for homeowners. As we increase the scale of devices in the smart home homeowners will get a chance to build a highly connected and efficient environment that serves their unique requirements and preferences through steady expansion and customization of their smart home system over time. In this article, we have performed an analysis on the dataset of smart homes that was obtained from Kaggle. the purpose of this analysis is to give all of the readers an idea of which parameters are included in the collapse of security risk. To minimize this risk, it is important to carefully research devices before purchasing them and to ensure that they are compatible with other devices in the home. Power outages can also disrupt the functionality of smart homes, leading to potential security risks or inconvenience. Homeowners should consider investing in backup power sources, such as generators or battery backup systems, to ensure that their smart home remains operational during power outages. We need to make use of ECC in order to protect a person from these dangers. Also, smart houses should include the appropriate safety features. In this investigation, we will focus on bringing to light all of the significant aspects of ECC as well as other characteristics of blockchains that have potential applications in smart homes. After that, we will present the data analysis of the open-source smart home dataset that can be found online. It will give the readers an idea of what are all the possible risks

Text Emotion determination is becoming more vital with every passing day as millions of text messages are released on a daily basis. In text analysis, the challenge lies in interpreting the ambiguity of human language, particularly when it comes to emotions. A study was carried out to detect the emotions classified into six categories as anger, fear, joy, love, sadness, and surprise. the algorithms, including Logistic Regression, Linear Support Vector Machine, and Random Forest were used for detecting and classifying the emotions. A comparative study of these methods was carried out by considering two features namely Term Frequency- Inverse Document Frequency and Count Vectors. the highest accuracy was obtained for the Count Vectors feature using the Logistic Regression method and the emotions in the text were classified accordingly. © 2023 ieee.

CoDeSys is a complete development environment for programmable logic control PLCs with the advantages of openness, flexibility, power and portability. this paper introduces the application features of the CoDeSys software and the embedded soft PLC technology respectively. the CoDeSys hierarchical architecture and the application of visualization features, the advantages of embedded systems and soft PLC technology are described in detail. then a complete embedded soft PLC system is designed by combining CoDeSys as the upper computer development system with the real-time operation system. the system is modified in real time by adding CoDeSys RTE extension software to the controller kernel, CoDeSys as the development software, based on TCP/IP protocol to communicate and control the real-time operation system, the raspberry pi development board into an industrial controller, and finally the rationality of the system is confirmed by the test of red and green light on/off control, reflecting the the final test confirmed the system's reasonableness through the red and green light control test, reflecting the practicality of combining CoDeSys and soft PLC. © 2023 ieee.

Face detection and recognition have become essential tools in criminal identification and investigation. Face detection involves identifying individuals by comparing their facial features to a database of known faces. In criminal identification, face detection and recognition are used to identify suspects and match them to surveillance footage or images from crime scenes. It has the potential to significantly improve the accuracy and speed of criminal investigations and to increase public safety by enabling law enforcement to identify and apprehend dangerous criminals more quickly. However, the use of face detection and recognition technology also raises ethical and privacy concerns, as it can potentially be used to track individuals without their consent or to discriminate against certain groups. It is therefore important to use these tools responsibly and transparently and to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect individual rights and freedoms. © 2023 ieee.

In the past, skyline pattern mining algorithms have achieved extensive research. the current algorithms for mining skyline patterns are inefficient and time-consuming. In practical applications, they may be inadequate because traditional skyline patterns can result in points that are extremely biased towards one dimension. therefore, this paper introduces a novel approach for mining skyline patterns that incorporates threshold settings. Unlike traditional methods, this new approach uses multiple thresholds to eliminate extreme points that don't meet the user's requirements in certain dimensions. By doing so, the number of candidate search items is greatly reduced, resulting in a more efficient and effective search process. the proposed algorithm was evaluated through extensive experiments on various databases, and its performance was compared with that of popular existing skyline pattern mining algorithms. the results demonstrate that the new approach not only yields a more streamlined and optimized set of results, but also outperforms previous algorithms in terms of both runtime and search space. © 2023 ieee.
