the main idea of cloud computing is to provide different computing services to the end-user online over the internet. Cloud computing uses virtualization technology to offer various services to the user. there are two different ways of virtualization;hardware virtualization and software virtualization. the hardware virtualization uses a hypervisor to create several virtual machines from one single physical machine, and software virtualization uses a container engine to create several containers. the traditional virtual machine-based virtualization techniques use more computing resources than OS-level virtualization. Efficient resource management plays an essential role in the overall performance of the cloud system. Evenly distributing the workload among all the available machines is one way of efficient resource management. this paper proposes a metaheuristic approach for load balancing in a cloud system that uses OS-level virtualization. Load balancing is the process of distributing workload or users' tasks equally among all available systems. We implemented several algorithms such as first fit, next fit, best fit, first fit decreasing, best fit decreasing and compared their result. the experimental result shows that the best fit decreasing outperforms all other approaches. then, we compared the result with our proposed GA-Based approach and found that our algorithm performs better than best fit decreasing. © 2022 ieee.

One of the most significant sources of renewable energy in the world is wind energy, and the fastest growing because of its unique advantages, such as cheap costs, and its friendliness to the environment, as it is a natural resource that is not subject to human control. Based on the detailed wind speed data for the selected site, the type of wind turbine is determined. In this research paper, QBlade software was used to analyze and simulate the horizontal axis wind turbine blades in order to increase the power coefficient. Also, it was analyzed the behavior deeply and the performance of the wind blade based on the Blade Element Momentum theory (BEM) to simulate the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWTs). the effect of the twist angle and chord length of three horizontal axis wind turbine blades on the behavior and performance of wind turbines has been investigated. It used two airfoils (SD7062) and (S8066), each with a 1.5 -meter- long blade divided into 12 sections. the validity of the results of analyses and optimization was proved using the QBlade software. It was found that maximum values of the ratio (CL/CD) occurred when the angles of attack were 6.5 and 4, corresponding to the airfoils (SD7062) and (S8066), respectively. Based on the achieved analysis, the tip speed ratio (TSR) was equal to 7. © 2023 ieee.

Drought, a huge scale natural disaster translating lives of many globally, appears no less often than yearly bringing scarcity of rainfall;dry spells majorly affecting crop fields. It can be characterized based on its intensity, spatial extent, and duration, becoming much crucial in arid and semi-arid zones. Remote sensing is a latest and speedy technology for the acquisition of raster images, converting them into measurable parameters taking into account various software tools. the study uses Linear Image Self Scanner III (LISS III) to provide a multispectral raster data in four bands to acquire the value of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI). this study aims to assess the vegetational health and water indices in the semi-arid Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. Navigational data is vital for various fields of applications. Satellite communications are costly while Automatic Identification System (AIS) data has considerable interval which can make crucial incidents during the voyage unrecoverable. the storage attached to the existing loggers are limited and the GSM900 communication link is slow. this paper presents the design and implementation of an Internet of things (IoT) based data logging system tailored for marine applications that improves cost, power consumption and durability while providing efficient and reliable data logging capabilities in the harsh marine environment. A programmable multithreaded low-power UR32 industrial router from Milesight replaces the simple Microcontroller Unit (MCU), providing a dual-SIM 4G connectivity failsafe. the proposed design minimizes the required components and enables seamless data acquisition and remote monitoring. Using photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, our logger can run entirely on renewable energy giving an endurance of almost 24 hours on a single charge. It can log data from various sensors over serial communication ports with uninterrupted log intervals. the communication link is improved from 2kbps to more than 7 mbps while storage is improved by 32 times. the complete system is packaged into an IP68 rating enclosure. the proposed solution contributes to cost-effective and energy-efficient IoT-based data logging systems for marine applications, enabling better understanding and managing marine resources and ecosystems using renewable energy. © 2023 ieee.

Pre-trained Models (PTM) have demonstrated extraordinary efficacy in the domain of natural language processing (NLP), particularly in addressing critical challenges within question-answering (QA) systems. However, the medical QA field grapples with issues such as the low robustness of generation models and a shortage of available medical data, which is further complicated by stringent privacy requirements. Leveraging the synergy between Federated Learning (FL) and PTM, we propose an innovative CancersQA method for intelligent cancer diagnosis and effective aggregating algorithm WeiPro. this method employs the GPT-2 model in an FL framework and fine-tunes it using sparse and unevenly distributed medical consultation data. Our novel method is designed to perform optimally on small sample datasets, markedly reducing training time. Our WeiPro aggregation strategy consolidates the parameters of the FL clients by taking into account various factors. Finally, we conducted rigorous experiments to evaluate CancersQA’s performance. Our experimental results indicate that our approach significantly surpasses other models in medical QA tasks underscoring its superior potential for adapting large language models to healthcare’s critical domain. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

Technology videos contain rich multi-modal information. In cross-modal information search, the data features of different modalities cannot be compared directly, so the semantic gap between different modalities is a key problem that needs to be solved. To address the above problems, this paper proposes a novel Feature Fusion based Adversarial Cross-modal Retrieval method (FFACR) to achieve text-to-video matching, ranking and searching. the proposed method uses the framework of adversarial learning to construct a video multimodal feature fusion network and a feature mapping network as generator, a modality discrimination network as discriminator. Generator and discriminator are trained alternately based on adversarial learning, so that the data obtained by the feature mapping network is semantically consistent with the original data and the modal features are eliminated. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs better in text-to-video search on the self-built datasets of technology videos. © 2022 ieee.

the Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN), which is more rapid, has been recognized as the best detection algorithm. With our design basis for Faster RCNN (FRCNN), the designers reclassify the proposed object recognition changes with just a rough spatial estimate of the incident. the researchers solve problems such as delicate to complex environments and its principles are derived reductions each time it is -actually confronted with noisier initiatives. through which designers categorize proposed changes to object recognition using a rough geometric estimate of the scene. this simple expansion requires complex changes of scale, which the authors describe in their entirely throughout this study. Moreover, Geometric Proposals with FRCNN (GP-FRCNN) performed relatively well on small and large things, which has always been a problem for computer vision algorithms. Any use of GP-FRCNN for monitoring film analysis is simple and requires no specific geometric description. We tested the algorithm on the UA-DETRAC database, finding that GP-FRCNN beat the FRCNN by 21%. © 2022 ieee.

Interest in sustainability research has increased in software engineering, however most research conducted over-look startups integrating sustainability into the development of their software systems. the goal of this paper is to contribute to filling this knowledge gap by showcasing how startups may adopt sustainability into their software system. this will be achieved using the Sustainability Awareness Framework (SusAF). To demonstrate the use of the SusAF for startups, we conducted a case study with the startup company Vattn, who are developing an online digital water management platform for easier access to clean drinking water. the results show that the SusAF provided the necessary discussion means in order for Vattn to discover the potential sustainability impacts of their software system in the five dimensions of sustainability and across the three orders of effect. Furthermore, the Vattn team were provided with the adequate tool to devise actions to support the identified positive sustainability impacts and mitigate the negative. © 2022 ieee.

this research aims to build an e-participation system for the citizens in the public policy process using blockchain technology. E-participation makes it easier for citizens to have a say in important policy decisions and helps the government be more open, inclusive, collaborative, and thoughtful. It improves government transparency, citizen involvement, and marginalized group inclusion. Yet, the limited scope of existing e-participation approaches and implementation processes makes using e-participation ineffective. E-participation platforms for citizen-government engagement often fail to meet targets and uptake expectations. In addition, the challenges involve overcoming the constraints associated with current methods, guaranteeing transparency, security, and privacy when engaging citizens, and effectively managing the intricate process of integrating various components and handling confidential information. However, blockchain applications are gaining popularity because blockchain technology can change the way how businesses operate. this study offers a blockchain-based innovative e-participation system to increase democratic engagement in a secure and decentralized environment as centralized servers struggle with transparency, security, and privacy concerns. Decentralized, immutable, and incorruptible blockchain technology solves these challenges. the proposed e-participation system can encourage public participation in governance and promote democracy. the proposed E-participation is based on a model that includes government agencies, the public/citizens, digital platforms, decision-making, communication/feedback, and decision-making. this research uses national population data and election codes and regulations to run experiments and simulation models.
