Deep learning becomes a more popular, widespread, and common tool in almost any task that requires information extraction from a large dataset. Hence, the data transmission speed between the data-gathering devices and processing units can be crucial in hardware selection depending on the machine learning application. Generally, the processing unit is usually centralized, and the data transferring time will increase when the data-gathering devices were installed further away from the processing unit. the work aims to provide the performance analysis on Google's new machine learning hardware called Edge TPU that was created specifically for edge devices. Furthermore, the work also reviewed the different types of deep neural network models as current benchmarks in deep learning were tested with different hardware used in edge applications. the review also discussed the comparison of the performance of the edge device using the deep neural networks in Tensorflow. From the results obtained, the performance of the edge device with the Edge TPU is faster than the device without it. © 2020 ieee.

Mobile business intelligence is in demand in modern enterprise management. this statement is relevant for small and large enterprises. the article concerns the process of developing a mobile application for analyzing the state of the enterprise. the mobile application selects the best options for the enterprise development strategy in the conditions of incomplete source data. the mobile application also provides decision support in enterprise management. the article presents the analysis method used in the mobile application. the analyzed data are parts of semantic network. enterprise model based on the semantic network makes conclusions about each management object. the mobile app is unique in that it allows you to analyze companies of any industry and type. the article deals with the problem of using and implementing mobile solutions in small and medium-sized enterprises. the article describes the functionality of the mobile application. the work ends with short conclusions.

RFID based automated warehouse management and also object detection and accessing the data remotely with cloud storage technology is proposed in this paper. the RFID technology helps better to specify every RF Tag which contains unique id each. In a warehouse, every items or container which have RF Tags can be observed and accessed efficiently. And this efficiency increases with the cloud storing facility. To this purpose, this paper introduced the scanning multiple RF Tags and store the Tag and its positions in the cloud. NODEMCU is a very small device to handle cloud with storing data via Wi-Fi and Arduino to control the scan process. As the warehouse or household items and its position are stored in the cloud so it can remotely be accessed by web or smartphone application.

the ongoing digital transformation affects longstanding business models and creates opportunities for new ones. Business IT alignment plays a crucial role in this digital transformation. enterprise architecture management (EAM) is designed to support and improve this alignment with the help of enterprise architecture (EA) models. With the introduction of new technologies such as the Internet of things, companies are seeking new bundled or hybrid business models that combine services and products from different providers. therefore, enterprises have to shift their focus on the management of business ecosystems. this study aims to provide a precise analysis of a practitioner's perspective to evaluate the relevance and capabilities of inter-enterprise architecture (IEA) models for the management of business ecosystems. We surveyed 268 practitioners in the field of EAM. Our results show compelling insights concerning the relevance of IEA models for the management of business ecosystems. Our analysis outline advantages, challenges, and suggestions for improvement within the industry.

A novel generic sensor model is introduced for testing and validation of ADAS/AD (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems/Autonomous Drive) functions. the model converts an incoming object list into a sensor specific object list and is suitable for all ADAS/AD perception sensors operating on object level. the field of view of the sensor is represented by a two dimensional polygon, that can be defined by a set of points. A simple ray tracing method is applied to simulate coverage by objects. the model allows multiple range specifications for a single sensor depending on object type and classification capabilities. A look-up table is used to convert the object class definitions of the virtual environment into the class definitions of the considered sensor. Additional object parameters that are detected by the sensor may be included. False negative and false positive detections are generated by probabilistic functions. the parametrisation procedure of the sensor model is explained and depicted in an example using the data sheet of the Radar Continental ARS404. the model's capability to simulate a complete sensor set is demonstrated with the sensor set of the Renault Zoe that was used to collect the nuScenes data set. the sensor model is integrated into a virtual test-bed using Vires VTD and Open Simulation Interface.

this review paper aims to explore state-of-the-art research and scientific literature about enterprise Architecture (EA) resilience. Based on a systematic literature review, 850 articles have been subjected to evaluation for relevance. Based on the findings in 58 selected papers, we conclude that the field of EA resilience is still in its infancy. We identified several definitions and classified six types of resilience measures, based on information type (qualitative/quantitative), the source of the disruption (internal/external), and the duration of the resilience (short-term/long-term). Based on the review, we found 19 metrics that are candidates for EA practitioners to consider for the design of measurement and assessment methods for EA resilience. In addition, we identified relevant research from Information Systems sub-domains and other sciences that can be incorporated to create a holistic view on EA resilience. Based on published definitions of resilience in the selected papers, we propose a definition of the concept of EA resilience. this definition is validated using expert opinion and creates a starting point for reasoning about EA resilience and future research.

the image inpainting is an interesting problem of image processing that has wide range of application in science, engineering, medicine and other fields of life. the inpainting is a process to fill the corrupted or missing parts of images. So, the image inpainting can be used in various cases, such as restoration of corrupted images, removal of unnecessary objects on images to improve quality of postprocessing tasks, image zooming etc. In this paper, we propose an image inpainting method based on mixed median. the mixed median proposed here is a combination of two kinds of median of pixels intensity: median of uncorrupted pixels in a clipping window and median of the maximum repetitive pixel values. In the experiment, we handle the test on the open dataset with given masks to generate the corrupted regions. this method is helpful to assess the inpainting quality based on the peak signal-to-noise ratio and the structure similarity metrics. We also compare the proposed method with the harmonic inpainting method to prove its own effectiveness.

Data lakes are on the rise as data platforms for any kind of analytics, from data exploration to machine learning. they achieve the required flexibility by storing heterogeneous data in their raw format, and by avoiding the need for pre-defined use cases. However, storing only raw data is inefficient, as for many applications, the same data processing has to be applied repeatedly. To foster the reuse of processing steps, literature proposes to store data in different degrees of processing in addition to their raw format. To this end, data lakes are typically structured in zones. there exists various zone models, but they are varied, vague, and no assessments are given. It is unclear which of these zone models is applicable in a practical data lake implementation in enterprises. In this work, we assess existing zone models using requirements derived from multiple representative data analytics use cases of a real-world industry case. We identify the shortcomings of existing work and develop a zone reference model for enterprise-grade data lake management in a detailed manner. We assess the reference model's applicability through a prototypical implementation for a real-world enterprise data lake use case. this assessment shows that the zone reference model meets the requirements relevant in practice and is ready for industry use.

Quantum computing introduces a new computing paradigm that promises to solve problems that cannot be solved by classical computers efficiently. thus, quantum applications will be more and more integrated in classical applications. To bring these composite applications into production, technologies for an automated deployment and orchestration are required to avoid manual error-prone and time-consuming processes. For non-quantum applications, a variety of deployment technologies have been developed in recent years. However, the deployment of quantum applications currently differs significantly from non-quantum applications and thus, leads to a different modeling procedure for the deployment of quantum applications. To overcome these problems, we propose TOSCA4QC that introduces two deployment modeling styles based on the Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) standard for automating the deployment and orchestration of quantum applications: (i) SDK-specific modeling style to cover all technical deployment details and (ii) SDK-agnostic modeling style supporting common modeling principles. We further show how existing model-driven development (MDD) approach can be applied to refine a SDK-agnostic model to an executable SDK-specific model. We demonstrate the practical feasibility by a prototypical implementation as an extension of the TOSCA ecosystem OpenTOSCA and three case studies with IBMQ and a quantum simulator.

Cotton is an important economic crop and plays an important role in the national economy. therefore, timely and accurate access to crop planting area and spatial distribution information is very important for government departments to make economic decisions and adjust cotton planting structure. At the same time, crop census and cotton growth monitoring there are also important applications in terms of production estimates and disaster assessment. this study is based on Google Earth Engine remote sensing big data cloud computing platform and Sentinel-2 data, taking Zaoqiang County of Itengshui City, Hebei Province as an example, using nearly 50 scenes of Sentinel-2 data, combined with interest area index calculation, S-G filtering method, etc. the time series phenotypic analysis method was constructed to analyze the phenological characteristics of the main crop cotton and the interfering crop corn in Zaoqiang County. Based on the phenological analysis results, the key time phase data of cotton extraction was screened, and the object-oriented information extraction method was combined with spectral features and texture features. the cotton distribution information of Zaoqiang County was extracted, and the accuracy of the results was analyzed with the field sample data. the overall accuracy was 92%, which satisfied the cotton monitoring application demand of Zaoqiang County.
