One of the most important features of enterprise architecture modeling approaches is the set of views and viewpoints they use to convey the properties of enterprise systems -- that is, their viewpoint framework. All mainstream approaches such as Zachman, RM-ODP, TOGAF and Archimate use the notion of independent "concerns" or dimensions to organize their views and viewpoints, but often do so in ways that are inconsistent and overly complex. In this paper we compare the viewpoint framework of one well known enterprise Architecture Modeling approach, Archimate, to the Orthographic Modeling approach which was developed to apply the idea of dimension-based view identification and selection in a pure, comprehensive form. After identifying weakness in Archimate's viewpoint framework from an orthographic modeling perspective we suggest how the former can be realized by, and adapted for, the latter.

Analysis and planning of enterprise Architectures (EA) is a complex task for stakeholders. the change of one architecture element has impact on multiple other elements because of manifold relationships and interactions between them. the interactive cockpit approach presented in this paper supports stakeholders planning and analyzing EAs and to tackle the intrinsic complexity. this approach supplies a cockpit with multiple viewpoints to put relevant information side-by-side without losing the context combined with interaction functionality. In this paper, we develop such cockpit starting with relevant use cases, describing a potential design based on well-established foundations in EA modeling, and outline an exemplary usage scenario.

In a model-driven engineering (MDE) context, the coordination of different roles such as enterprise architects and developers can be supported when dependencies between roles and artifacts are stated. Similarly, provisioning and deployment of service topologies can be facilitated. For specifying dependencies, an editor permits to define roles, artifacts, services, and service topologies in descriptive domain-specific languages (DSLs). Supporting coordination and automation, utilities are generated that synchronize workspaces, produce notifications, prepare the provisioning of service topologies, and perform their deployment. For showcasing the DSL editors and the coordination and automation tools a case study from a machine-to-machine context is taken. Addressing change impact and provisioning issues by minimizing turnaround cycles, the demonstration reveals possibilities of how to support MDE processes in the context of service topologies and shall foster a discussion on the potentials with regard to enterprise applications in general.

Today, enterprises act in an increasingly interconnected world and in different kinds of collaborative networks. they are part of business ecosystems in which they interact withtheir customers, partners and competitors. the processes of analyzing and planning the intertwinement of business and IT architecture within enterprises has been successfully supported by enterprise architecture management (EAM) approaches. In this paper, we analyze four cases from different industries (health care, logistics, retail, and education) and argue that the intra-organizational concepts of enterprise architectures (EA) and EAM need to be extended to grasp the challenges of the enterprises' interconnectedness. Beyond the known concepts of extended enterprise architecture and federated architectures, we define five stages of extended architectures. Additionally, we describe challenges and existing solutions, which are relevant for this extended perspective.

the integration between enterprise architectures and Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) is currently based on low-level programming interfaces that expose accidental complexities typical of process implementations. this paper describes an approach for integrating software architectures and BPMSs, based on mapping frameworks. Our inspiration are the object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks widely used to shield information systems from low-level structures exposed by relational database systems. the paper describes the central abstractions that should be provided by object -- Business Process Mapping Frameworks (OBPM). We also propose a reference architecture for implementing OBPMs and a concrete OBPM implementation, called NextFlow. We evaluated our approach by comparing two implementations of the same system, one using NextFlow and another using the native API supported by jBPM, a popular BPMS. By using NextFlow, we achieved a reduction of 30% in terms of lines of code, 35% in terms of number of classes, and 90% in terms of import statements, when implementing this system.

enterprise Architecture (EA) analysis is an important tool for leveraging EA models. However, due to the diverse nature of the EA field, analysis techniques must be able to deal with variability caused by different modeling standards as well as their adaption to specific organizational needs. Additionally, the definitions of the relevant measures often vary between different stakeholders and organizations. To address these challenges we propose a (meta) model independent framework for the analysis of architecture models. Based on a generic representation of architectural data, we employ a data-flow based analysis approach to enable a context-sensitive evaluation of organization specific measures. We demonstrate the generic applicability of this framework through a re-implementation of three different analyses from literature.

Although the popularity of activity-centric process management systems (PrMS) has increased during the last decade, there still exist business processes that cannot be adequately supported by these PrMS. A common characteristic of these processes, which is neglected by current activity-centric PrMS, is their need for object-awareness, i.e., the explicit processing of business data and business objects respectively. In the PHILharmonicFlows project, characteristic properties of object-aware processes were identified and an advanced framework for their proper support was designed. In this paper, we present a proof-of-concept prototype implementing some of the fundamental concepts of the PHILharmonicFlows framework. Overall, this initiative will result in a new generation of process management technology.

From the point of view of an enterprise architect, the visual analysis of the structure of an enterprise Model can provide powerful insights and facilitate various analysis tasks. However, analysis methods and visualizations that offer the most valuable results usually depend on the concepts found on the enterprise Metamodel, and are subjected to a concrete EA modeling tool. In this paper we argue that many structural and domain-specific analysis methods can be automated, composed, and their results visualized in a modular manner. To achieve this, we describe the foundations of a flexible and configurable approach for EA Analysis that is based on components that encapsulate metamodel-specific analysis and visualization techniques, supported by a metamodel-independent platform. the approach is explained with ArchiMate by using a module, currently in development, which we call PRIMate. Benefits from this approach include the integration with existing modeling environments, the reuse of analysis and visualization capabilities in any metamodel, as well as an explicit, composite, and traceable visual analysis process.

Image segmentation plays an important role in high-level visual recognition tasks. In recent years, the combinatorial graph cut algorithm has been successfully applied to image segmentation because it offers numerically robust global minimum. For low-level image segmentation, intensity is a widely used regional cue. However, when comes to weak boundary, it is often not enough to discriminate the object of interest. In this paper, we extend the standard graph cut algorithm by taking into account the gradient direction of neighboring pixels as an additional cue. A new energy function is proposed to fuse the intensity and gradient cues. Experimental results show that our method is more robust and helpful to detect the low-contrast boundaries.

Purpose: Green supply chain management (GSCAB has become the driver of sustainable strategy. this topic has been gaining increasing attention within both academia and industry for making the industry competitive. Withthe ever increasing demand for reducing carbon Jaw prints and green house gas emission, there is a need to study the various parameters and drivers of sustainable development, especially in supply chain management. the need, far developing the sustainable model including the drivers of sustainability needs to be designed. Methodology: Using resource based theory and value chain analysis;we have developed a model Jar sustainable strategy. the data was collected and analyzed to find the key drivers of sustainability. the data was analyzed withthe help of regression and correlation analysis. Findings: After providing a background discussion on GSCM we categorize and review recent GSCM literature under three broad categories, with a special emphasis on investigation of adoption, diffusion and outcomes of GSCM practices. Within this review framework, we also identified GSCM research questions that are worthy of investigation. the study suggests that the main drivers of GSCM include the environmental policy and the green human resource management by providing them training for adopting sustainability practices. Besides this, another key driver is the sustainability criteria in supplier selection which was found to be enhancing the outcomes of sustainability. Managerial implications and research implications: the model suggests that we need to have management support for implementing the sustainability strategy in the organization. the study guides the managers Jar implementing sustainable supply chain management practices in the organization.
