Prolong advancements in technology scaling over the past few years eventually leads to the development of multi core processors. network On Chip architecture is a promising paradigm to attain higher network density in high performance multi core computing systems. In today's scenario, with the growing number of transistors, power density is becoming prominent issue in the network design. therefore, the researchers are constantly focusing on accurate estimation of system power which ultimately leads to system reliability enhancement. In this paper, an experimental setup is formulated to analyze the working of multi-Vt NoC routers and their impacts on system power. Different life time distribution schemes are adopted for accurate reliability estimation. We have done the power analysis on the basis of multi-threshold voltage cells which is a low power technique i.e. low Vt (LVT), normal Vt (NVT) and high Vt (HVT) routers and reliability analysis by using two life time distributions i.e. lognormal and weibull and have compared their results. We have also done the comparative analysis with the previous integrated power model on the basis of reliability, transistor performance, architectural and technological parameters. the reliability results by weibull distribution for LVT routers shows 35% degradation as compared to HVT routers and for lognormal the difference is 56%.

the modern computer and network system, is composed of tens of thousands of components. Any faults in components can affect reliability of the whole system. In the process of running, elements will gradually age and failure rate gradually increase. However, the rate at which these elements age is not synchronous. thus, in which cases should the elements be upgraded or replaced and in which cases should the elements whose performance is still relatively good be retained, are hard job to handle. In this paper, the author attempts to make an extreme analysis on the reliability of parallel system with N element obeying exponential distribution to improve the system update.

Binary adder is an important module for microprocessors. We present a novel structure of binary adder, named Hyper-parallel Prefix Adder(HPPA) in this paper. the basic idea of HPPA is to divide the addition into two levels, both of which are parallel prefix adder architecture. It can perfectly reduce the delay of wire loads by reducing the wire length in the critical paths;hence the performance of the adder can be significantly improved. Moreover, we present an optimized carry tree structure which is based on Kogge-stone tree named Grouped-Kogge-Stone tree(GKS tree), which has small nodes especially in the top level. Combining HPPA with GKS tree, we designed and implemented a 64-bit full adder. At the top level, we divide the two 64-bit addition operands into 8 groups, each of which is 8-bit. At the bottom level, we divide each 8-bit group into 4 equal sub-groups. Both of the two levels are composed of parallel prefix adders based on Grouped-Kogge-Stone tree. We design the adder using Verilog HDL to verify the performance. We have implemented the adder under 0.13 um CMOS process. Simulation results show that the maximal delay of the proposed adder layout is 578 ps with the average power of 18.3m W.

Software maintenance is an important aspect of software life cycle development, hence prior estimation of effort for maintainability plays a vital role. Existing approaches for maintainability estimation are mostly based on regression analysis and neural network approaches. It is observed that numerous software metrics are even used as input for estimation. In this study, Object-Oriented software metrics are considered to provide requisite input data for designing a model. It helps in estimating the maintainability of Object-Oriented software. Models for estimating maintainability are designed using the parallel computing concept of Neuro-Genetic algorithm (hybrid approach of neural network and genetic algorithm). this technique is employed to estimate the software maintainability of two case studies such as the User Interface System (UIMS), and Quality Evaluation System (QUES). this paper also focuses on the effectiveness of feature reduction techniques such as rough set analysis (RSA) and principal component analysis (PCA). the results show that, RSA and PCA obtained better results for UIMS and QUES respectively. Further, it observed the parallel computing concept is helpful in accelerating the training procedure of the neural network model. Copyright 2015 ACM.

We consider the problem of dimensioning resilient backbone networks for cloud-like scenarios where demand is to be served at one among several candidate data centers (DCs), and where that demand varies over time, which we assume to be slotted. We thus consider multi-period traffic, for which we need to find routes to both a primary DC and a backup DC (in case the primary, or the network connection towards it, fails) and account also for synchronization traffic (following its own routes) between the two chosen DCs. We propose a path formulation and adopt a column generation approach: the (restricted) master problem (RMP) selects "configurations" to use for each demand in each of the time periods, while pricing problems (PPs) construct new, potentially cost-reducing configurations for a given demand. Our model allows for several PPs to be solved in parallel, and we demonstrate the time savings achieved by doing so. We compare several anycast (re)routing strategies, where we allow traffic that spans multiple periods to either (i) not be rerouted in different periods, (ii) only change the backup DC and routes, or (iii) freely change both primary and backup DC choices and routes towards them.

Due to the extreme fast movement of traffic in the busy localities, the cases of road accidents are increasing day by day. Traffic Control Board made different speed limit for different places to limit the speed, but it is not possible to always monitor the infringements manually due to several factors. this paper proposes development of a prototype by which the Traffic Control Board automatically gets the details of the over speed vehicles in any place. Specifically, a network of Master XBees are installed in every locality that will broadcast the information regarding the speed limit of the region. the vehicle will have a device that has a CPU, a speedometer along with another XBee. this XBee will get the speed limit of the region from the Master XBee and the CPU will compare that with the instantaneous speed of the vehicle. If the instantaneous speed is higher than the speed limit of the region then a warning message will be displayed and a particular time slot is given to check the speed. After the time if the speed is not reduced, then the information regarding the Registration number of the vehicle is transmitted to the master XBee. this information is then stored into a server, from which the data can be accessed anywhere via internet. We have also developed the prototype of the Web Monitoring System by which the data can be accessed from the server.

In 1985 it was decided to merge the 3 regional computing centers NEUCC, RECKU and RECAU located respectively at the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen and the University of Aarhus. the background for the merger was the rapid development of computing equipment which meant that small computers could now be purchased for local use by the university departments whereas the need for high performance computing could only be satisfied by a joint national purchase and advanced network access to this central computer facility. the new center was named UNI-C and succeeded in helping Danish frontline research to use innovative computing techniques and have major breakthroughs using the first massively parallel computer architectures, but the greatest impact of UNI-C on Danish society was the successful early roll out of the Internet to universities with a follow-up of establishing the first Danish Internet service to ordinary PC users. this very first Internet service became a great success and helped to put Denmark on the international map as one of the very early Internet adopters. It also meant that UNI-C was tasked by the Ministry of Education with delivering a number of different groundbreaking services to Danish schools like e.g. the Education Portal EMU, the school intranet SkoleIntra and the single sign on service, Uni-login. the growth of the service portfolio to schools meant that UNI-C stayed with the Ministry of Education when the universities were moved to a separate new ministry, and today UNI-C only delivers services to schools, whereas the service portfolio for universities is now taken care of by the DeIC, the Danish e-Infrastructure Collaboration.

Food is the material basis of human survival, food quality directly related to people's survival and life. Grains as the main food supply, its quality is also essential. Grain moisture of grain stored is an extremely important influence on the main character. However, the ambient temperature and the degree of compaction of grains have a strong nonlinear relationship between the analytic expression and difficult. therefore the improved BP neural network was used to solve this problem. With improved orthogonal-optimizing method, the study showed that while the RBF nerve network's weighing factors were obtained, the numbers of hidden units could be acquired. this method could avoid too few nerve elements that would result in low accuracy, or too many nerve elements that will result in "over learnt". this method had been approved for its advantages over the ordinary methods with laboratory tests on grains of wheat, rice, corn, etc. Experimental results showed that application of the improved BP model, the measurement accuracy of wheat increased 62.0%, corn increased measurement accuracy of 66.2%, rice increased 66.7% accuracy

Number Plate Recognition technique is widely used in identifying vehicle identity across the world where a standard plate size and font are maintained which makes recognition easy. For implementing number plate recognition specifically in India a lot number of issue comes up like hundreds of different forms of fonts being used, size of plate not maintained, five different color number plate, double line number plate etc. All these problems are being taken care while developing a software for Indian number plate recognition and is tested in real Indian road conditions. Support Vector machines are trained & used for detection of number plate contours. ANN is used for character recognition from number plate and various algorithm for plate enhancement, noise reduction and ultimately neural networks are most efficient for result with erasing lot of camera constraints. the ANPR software is designed in C++ using Qt for GUI designing, OpenCV as image processing libraries and SQL as database management thereby making it a complete software implementation of idea.
