Enhancing manufacturing and industrial processes are achieved using smart sensors and actuators known as the industrial internet or things or IIoT. By implementing IIoT, machines transform into smart devices, communicating important information that enables driving business decisions faster and more accurately. thus, IIoT enables the improvement of business processes that are agile and dependable. However, the widespread deployment of IoT networks across different industrial sectors has resulted in numerous security gaps, posing threats to the integrity of IIoT systems. An intrusion detection system (IDS) is a typical software that monitors and stimulates security explanations for computer networks. Deployment of the solutions aims to identify malicious activity and take measures that facilitate risk aversion. Due to IIoT's peculiarities, standard IDS-based solutions are complicated to implement. this includes limited resources, sensitive data, and heterogeneous architecture. Researchers are implementing Fog/Edge computing, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning for effective and flexible IDS deployments in different IIoT scenarios. this research focuses on how IDS emerges in specific manufacturing settings. To do this, we present an in-depth analysis of IDS deployment strategies, detection strategies, evaluation approaches, and data sources. © 2023 IEEE.

Several software businesses are being encouraged to work because of their high failure rates to manage and estimate agile projects and create successful software projects. the process of accurately estimating a project's overall effort and expense is crucial. throughout the past few decades, software initiatives have helped to increase the variety of development methodologies. therefore, it is a big problem to determine the exact amount of effort and cost incurred for various program undertakings that are based on unique improvement models and have fresh and innovative software development processes. software businesses have used several distinct development approaches, including 1the COCOMO (Constructive Cost Model), which enables more precise cost estimation of software projects, was introduced in this study. It is feasible to forecast the financial success or failure of a new endeavor using historical company data. the Nave Bayes method is crucial and offers good accuracy in machine learning that uses historical data to predict the future. To test the suggested system's behavior in this case, we used the SEERA dataset. the results show that the accuracy of our proposed method in predicting profit and loss is 89.59% and 26.8 percent, respectively. the accuracy of the overall effort computation is also higher, at 97.06 percent, when compared to the SVM's accuracy of 94.45 percent. © the Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

Sustainability is one of the most discussed topics across different disciplines. In software engineering, various sustainability definitions and approaches have been proposed and discussed in recent years. However, little is known about how agile processes support the development of sustainable software systems. In this study, we investigate how sustainability can be incorporated into agile software development processes, especially within the Scrum framework, and how this framework might be extended to support the consideration of sustainability. We present the results of a survey, in which we asked the participating practitioners how the elements of the Scrum framework can be used and adapted to address sustainability issues. In our research, we are especially interested in the different roles, events, and artefacts defined in the Scrum Guide and how they can support sustainable development. the results show that the practitioners see high potential for considering the sustainability impacts of software systems within Scrum, although not all the elements of the framework are equally suitable for all aspects of sustainability. We also make recommendations on how to address sustainability in Scrum.

the service level is a critical factor that affects pharmaceutical enterprises because its focuses on taking care of people's lives. An important factor is fulfilling orders on time to customers (doctors and patients), which requires the availability of products and the highest service level in the health system. the proposal of this study is based on developing a model that integrates supply chain processes at operational level to improve the service level. the model is carried out with the integration of Lean and agile methodologies that seek to streamline and make the supply chain processes more flexible to fulfill orders. this study was simulated using Arena software, who helps to quantify the operational processes and improvement in the supply chain performance. Lean agile model achieves the service level required for the industry, as well as improves the performance of the supply chain in the company. © 2022 ACM.

this paper concerns the development of both theoretical and operational frameworks, called Panorama, for comprehending large scale, multi-lingual software systems. the foundation to the system is the development and deployment of instrumentation agents, which have the ability to burrow through the software at various levels of depth—both statically and dynamically and treating the software as Black box and/or White box—in order to collect valuable information. In our past research (Gallagher and Lakshmi Narasimhan in, IEEE Trans Softw Engg 23(8):473–484, 1997), we have developed both a theoretical framework and an implementation of a core set of instrumentation statements in order to optimize data generation for testability purposes. this framework is distributed and applicable to assembly language, procedural and OO paradigms, and combinations thereof. this basic framework has been augmented with additional theoretical foundation and instrumentation procedures so that processes for software visualization and comprehension can be achieved. the instrumentation is completely handled by a distributed agent-based system, which is also capable of detecting the underlying programming languages and capturing all book-keeping information needed for various application requirements. It is envisaged that robust optimization procedures are required (as was shown before for testability purposes) for dynamic system composition. the system has the capability for self-cataloguing and querying toward the above-mentioned purposes, in addition to providing view-tailoring and view maintenance for specific application domains. the Panorama system can be mounted over a Cloud environment also. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Nowadays, with technological developments, computer software has become an indispensable part of human life. As the importance of software increases, error-free operation, reduced costs and increased customer satisfaction have become important. In parallel with these, becoming agile in software development processes, measuring the quality of software and detecting errors in advance have become critical areas of work in the software world. In this study, a new model has been developed to predetermine the error proneness of object-oriented software developed with agile software development methodologies using static code analysis measurements. Collecting customer feedback early and frequently, which is one of the basic principles of agile working, has been implemented within the scope of the model and turned into a major decision-making element. the aim is to anticipate the problems that may arise with the classes. In addition, it is aimed to both reduce software development costs and contribute to increasing customer satisfaction. It is planned to enrich the model developed in the later stages of the study and turn it into a model based on external quality criteria as well as internal quality metrics of the software. the aim here is to make the changes in classes and modules traceable in the agile software life cycle and to present systemic suggestions.

Metaprogramming, the practice of writing programs that manipulate other programs at compile-time, continues to impact software development;enabling new approaches to optimisation, static analysis, and reflection. Nevertheless, a challenge associated with metaprogramming techniques, including C++ constexpr functionality, is an increase in compilation times. this paper presents ClangOz, a novel Clang-based research compiler that addresses this issue by evaluating annotated constant expressions in parallel, thereby reducing compilation time. By evaluating constant expressions in parallel, ClangOz significantly reduces compilation times for metaprogramming-intensive codebases, enhancing developer productivity and iterative software development processes. To control this, ClangOz includes novel compiler intrinsics allowing developers to take full advantage of constexpr language features. New i9-13900K benchmark results here demonstrate the performance advantage of ClangOz over traditional compilers, including a decrease in compile times across more benchmarks;and 100% parallel efficiency in two cases. Also introduced here is the C’est library, which provides a subset of the C++ standard library, with extended constexpr support. We highlight applications of the constexpr language feature, and emphasise the relevance of ClangOz, a compiler tailored for parallel evaluation of relevant constant expressions. Developers can now utilise modern metaprogramming, while minimising compile times parametrically. © 2024, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In order to improve software development efficiency, ensure software quality, and provide efficient project management O&M services, this paper explores the blockchain software engineering process based on Scrum agile development models and its various testing methods, such as CITA and DevOps, to improve the quality of software engineering in the blockchain domain. We outline the application of the Scrum-oriented development model in blockchain projects and introduce various methods and frameworks to improve blockchain software engineering, describing that the combination of Scrum, blockchain and DevOps can be used to create a robust and efficient software development process. By practicing agile development in development management, automating operations and maintenance with DevOps, and implementing continuous automated testing, the goal is to provide a solid, efficient, flexible, and future-proof operating platform for enterprise-level blockchain applications. By combining multiple approaches, organizations can create powerful and efficient software development processes that are being adopted by other industries and explored for potential applications in healthcare, government, and other sectors. that is, agile, secure and responsive to customer needs.

the transformation of pseudocode to Python is vital as it enables students to concentrate on the algorithms while not being distracted by the syntax and also is the key stage in software development and computer science education. this research gives a good programmer-design tool for turning pseudocode into Python,the compiler supports basic data types, control structures, loops, and functions which are the main components of the introductory programming courses. It consists of three main components: lexical analysis, syntax analysis, and code generation are the major processes of an interpreter. the implementation seeks to offer a swift and dependable way of the transformation of pseudocode to Python, thereby accelerating software development processes and improving the educational experiences.
