the project addresses the challenge of accurately identifying blurred faces in computer vision and facial recognition. It introduces a novel framework that integrates deblurring techniques, utilizing point spread function deconvolution to enhance facial image quality. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is employed for feature extraction, and a K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifier is applied for face identification. the combined deblurring and PCA-transformed features improve matching and identification accuracy, particularly in scenarios with initially blurred images. Experimental validation on a real-world dataset demonstrates the efficacy of the proposed methodology. this approach not only enhances facial recognition accuracy but also lays the groundwork for future research in challenging practical applications, such as security and law enforcement. © IFIP international Federation for Information processing 2025.

Diseases related to heart activity had been and will always be one of the most predominant reasons of concern. there are innumerable causes of such abnormalities in heart activity and symptoms are also many. Arrhythmia is one such abnormality which is mostly found in human beings nowadays. In the proposed work ECG signal database is used for the detection and classification of arrhythmia. Millions of people across the globe were affected by this rapidly spreading disease by the year 2020. Contamination of the respiratory system results from contracting COVID-19. Nonetheless, establishing a conclusive diagnosis of COVID-19 may prove difficult due to the subtle differences it shares with conventional pneumonia and the complexities involved in identifying areas of infection. A growing number of approaches based on deep learning (DL) are being proposed for the automated detection of COVID-19 from CT scan images. By employing the data pretreatment methodology, unprocessed image data becomes prepared for further analysis. the proposed framework utilised transfer learning to construct VGGNet, which is capable of discerning the Covid-19 disease. the model was subsequently assessed in comparison to the most sophisticated models, VGG16 and VGG19, using the SARS-COV2 CT scan dataset. this dataset contains 1230 CT scans of non-infected images and 1252 CT scans of Covid-19-infected images. the model has achieved 99% accuracy, 98% precision, 97% recall, and 98% F1-score, among other performance metrics. © IFIP international Federation for Information processing 2025.

the Creation, editing, and production of high- quality photos have been greatly facilitated by advances in image processing and machine learning algorithms. Unfortunately, attackers can use these technologies to generate images that look convincingly real but are fraudulent;this is often done to harm others or try and circumvent image detection techniques and deceive image recognition classifiers. To carry out face-morphing attacks, fraudsters have access to readily available digital modification tools. this could result in several unlawful behaviours and harm to the actual person’s personal life. In order to prevent the spread of such modified photographs and protect the innocent, it is necessary to identify them before they appear on different platforms. Researchers use Fake Face image Detection to determine whether an image is now altered, which exonerates fraudsters who upload such phoney pictures. this research makes use of convolutional neural networks and machine learning (CNN). this proposed method can produce satisfying results with an average accuracy of over 89.4% by first proposing a convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based method to identify fraudulent face photos. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
