the task of summarizing large documents for easier and faster readability is widely acknowledged and a standard task in the field of Natural Language Processing. the metrics that are used to measure the working of this task are based on statistical measures such as n-grams and Longest Common Subsequences. Abstractive summarization is a type of automatic text summarization which refers to creating the summary from the main document without entirely copying words from the original document. With the advent of Deep learning architectures, abstract summarization has increased in popularity. the Large language models which are used for abstractive text summarization need proper prompts to generate summary. engineering proper prompts is important as the quality of the summary generated depends on the prompt. In this paper, an abstractive measure of similarity is proposed where the textual similarity is measured by using Euclidean distance to compare a Principal component based transformed BERT Embedding vector of the document and the summary. the metric is used to create prompts for generative Pretrained Transformer and Text to Text Transfer Transformer models which are standard state-of-the-art language models. the summary generated shows significant improvement and the prompts generated by using the abstractive comparison metric are seen to have the perplexity almost the same as the document thus promising better summarization results. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

this paper investigates the application of Genetic Algorithms (GAs) in component parameters design. From the perspective of profit per unit product, we have established the nonlinear programming model to determine the machine precision and product calibration value. After that, we solve the nonlinear programming model based on GAs, which can fix out the most appropriate component parameters to optimize the result. We conduct a comparative study between GAs and the enumeration method and give relevant analysis in the end of this paper.

Advanced Peripheral Bus (APB) protocol is a key component belonging to Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) family. the APB protocol is a form of communication between the test bench and design under test (DUT) where it allows for implementation of tests. this protocol is convivial for low-cost, low-bandwidth, and lowpower devices, like timers and keypads, to the bus system. this protocol is implemented using a reusable System on Chip (SoC) technique to address the challenges posed by Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI). Designing and implementing the APB protocol involves creating test cases and programming the design using Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL), while verifying the design using Verilog Test Bench. Open-source software, such as EDA Playground. the objective of the proposed work is to design and execute the AMBA APB protocol using opensource software, with a focus on ensuring the design's correctness and efficiency. It also develops a robust, efficient, and cost-effective system that can be easily integrated into various hardware designs. this work explores six distinct test cases, encompassing a range of transaction scenarios. the successful implementation of APB protocol will provide a significant contribution to the field of computer engineering, particularly in the area of hardware design and communication protocols. © the Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

the focal reducer and low dispersion spectrograph FORS which is presently under construction for the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT) will be an all dioptric focal reducer instrument designed for direct imaging, low-dispersion multi object spectroscopy, imaging and spectropolarimetry of faint objects. A central mechanical component of FORS is the multi object spectroscopy (MOS) unit. the design and the observation capabilities of the MOS are described. Further details on the whole instrument are given in [1]. Two identical copies of the instrument will be built by a consortium of three astronomical institutes (Landessterwarte Heidelberg and the Unviersity Observatories of Gottingen and Munich) under contract and in cooeration with ESO. the instruments will be installed at the Cassegrain foci of two unit telescopes of the VLT.

A dream of the software-engineering discipline is to develop reusable program-components and to build programs out of them. Formalization of a type of component-oriented programming (COP) problem (that does not need any non-trivial effort for gluing components together) shows a surprising similarity to the problem of Planning as defined within the Artificial Intelligence (AI). this short paper explores the possibility of solving the COP by using AI-planning techniques. We have looked into some closely related AI-planning algorithms and suggested directions on how to adopt them for the purpose. Other important related issues like the target specification languages and other relevant research disciplines are also being touched upon here. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2002.

Performance is considered an important feature rather than the application of programming techniques for better software design in most scientific software developers. therefore, the problem arises if the software is developed without considering a specific paradigm or some programming technique when performing maintenance;tasks related to this activity are complicated, since almost no one would understand the source code. the goal of this research is to verify the performance of the software with or without an encapsulation component. An ex-post-facto experimental methodology has been implemented, carrying out a descriptive analysis of the data and then concluding by verifying the hypothesis by means of a robust test. this work was carried out by running algorithms written in the programming language Java by using three data groups in different conditions to analyze their behavior. Results show is that the application of the encapsulation component of the object-oriented paradigm does affect the execution of the scientific software performance. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

When engineers design component-based physical systems, they have a solid grounding to the real world, which often provides an intuitive reality check about the validity, expected performance, and elegance of their solutions. Software engineers, modeling such systems in the virtual world of computers, lack this insight. their models frequently bear little resemblance to the real-world counterparts, which undermines the understandability and usefulness. Students develop these disconnected habits because most programming assignments do not enforce a disciplined philosophy for the design and implementation. Furthermore, they have little, if any, opportunity to analyze their typically hacked solutions. this system provides a rich pedagogical framework to help students truly understand what they are modeling and why. In particular, it forces them to separate what a solution is from how it works by promoting established software design patterns and providing a wide range of support infrastructure. It is also heavily oriented toward analysis aspects like testing and performance evaluation. To this end, it seamlessly integrates solutions within a Monte Carlo simulation and a three-dimensional, dynamic, interactive visualization of how solutions would look and act in the real world.

the necessity of reusable artifacts was felt with the demand to produce larger and more complex software in shorter schedule and budget. the ultimate role of component-based software engineering (CBSE) is to develop the reusable artifacts or components and at the same time assembling the parts into one system, maintenance through upgrading, customizing or replacing components in the system. So, definitely component-based software life cycle is different from traditional life cycles of systems and faces several challenges. Several life cycle models for component-based software development have been introduced by researchers. In this research we surveyed some of the popular approaches and provided a comparative discussion among those approaches considering the challenges faced by component based development.
