JEqualityGen: Generating Equality and Hashing Methods

Manually implementing equals (for object comparisons) and hashCode (for object hashing) methods in large software projects is tedious and error-prone. this is due to many special cases, such as field shadowing, comparison between different types, or cyclic object graphs. Here, we present JEqualityGen, a source code generator that automatically derives implementations of these methods. JEqualityGen proceeds in two states: it first uses source code reflection in MetaAspectJ to generate aspects that contain the method implementations, before it uses weaving on the bytecode level to insert these into the target application. JEqualityGen generates not only correct, but efficient source code that on a typical large-scale Java application exhibits a performance improvement of more than two orders of magnitude in the equality operations generated, compared to an existing system based on runtime reflection. JEqualityGen achieves this by generating runtime profiling code that collects data. this enables it to generate optimised method implementations in a second round.

Since most of the current Low Light Image Enhancement(LLIE) models are trained under RGB channel, it has problems such as training process difficulties and color deviation of enhancement results. We propose an unsupervised low illumination enhancement model based on YCbCr color space. this model maps the input low illuminance original image based on RGB space to YCbCr space, and then carries out feature learning on the brightness channel Y in YCbCr. First, extract low-level features through standard convolution dimension elevation, and then divide the network into light-enhancement module and detail-recovery module. In the light-enhancement module, conduct deep-global feature extraction and shallow-local feature extraction respectively , to obtain the feature map after light enhancement. then the feature map is connected and fused with low-level features in the detail-recover module to restore the texture and details lost in the light enhancement process. After obtaining the feature map after detail-recovery module, the new Y connect the feature map with Cb and Cr channels after dimensionality reduction to obtain the final enhanced image. In the process of model training, a new comprehensive loss function is used to realize the constraints on each component of the model. At the same time, the unsupervised learning process is realized by using the generative adversarial network, and the channel attention mechanism is introduced to achieve a better denoising effect. through experimental comparison, the average NIQE and LOE values of the new model on the test dataset reach 3.88 and 146.2, which has a competitive enhancement effect.

In 1984, John Hughes wrote a seminal paper titled, "Why Functional programming Matters," in which he eloquently explained the value of pure and lazy functional programming. Due to the increasing importance of the Web and the introduction of many-core machines, in the quarter of a century since the paper was written, the problems associated with imperative languages and their side effects have become increasingly evident. this talk argues that fundamentalist functional programming-that is, radically eliminating all side effects from programming languages, including strict evaluation-is what it takes to conquer the concurrency and parallelism dragon. Programmers must embrace pure, lazy functional programming "all the way"-with all effects apparent in the type system of the host language using monads. A radical paradigm shift is the answer, but does that mean that all current programmers will be lost along the way? Fortunately not! By design, LINQ is based on monadic principles, and the success of LINQ proves that the world does not fear the monads.

In scenario-based programming (SBP), the semantics, which enables direct execution of these intuitive specifications, calls, among others, for synchronizing concurrent scenarios prior to every event-selection decision. Doing so even when the running scenarios are distributed across multiple physical system components, may degrade system performance or robustness. In this paper we describe a technique for automated distribution of an otherwise-centralized specification, such that much of the synchronization requirement may be relaxed. the technique calls for replicating the entire scenario-based executable specification in each of the components, locally transforming it in a component-specific manner, and reducing the synchronization requirements to very specific and well-defined points during execution. Our evaluation of the technique shows promising results. Given that relaxed synchronization can lead to what appears as different runs in different components we discuss various criteria for what would constitute acceptable differences, or divergence, in the parallel, distributed runs of almost-identical copies of a single specification. this paper incorporates and substantially extends the material of the paper published in MODLESWARD’17 Distributing Scenario-Based Models: A Replicate-and-Project Approach by the same authors [37]. © Springer international Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.

component middleware technologies such as the CORBA component model (CCM), J2EE (Alur et al., 2001), and .NET, were developed to address many limitations like interdependencies between services and object interfaces, limited re-use, of first-generation middleware technologies such as CORBA 2.x, XML, and SOAP (Snell and McLeod, 2001). these component technologies have addressed a wide range of application domains, but unfortunately for distributed real-time and embedded (DRE) systems, the focus of these technologies has been primarily on functional and not quality of service (QoS) properties. Research on QoS-aware component models such as the CIAO project (Wang et al. 2003) shows that there is a fundamental difference between configuration of functional and QoS properties even within such a unified component model: the dominant decomposition of functional properties is essentially object-oriented, while the dominant decomposition of QoS properties is essentially aspect-oriented. In this paper, we describe how a focus on aspect frameworks for configuring QoS properties both complements and extends QoS-aware component models. this paper makes three main contributions to the state of the art in DRE systems middleware. First, it describes a simple but representative problem for configuring QoS aspects that cut across architectural layers, system and distribution boundaries, which motivates our focus on aspect frameworks. Second, it provides a formalization of that problem using first order logic nfrastructure configuration logic - which both guides the design of aspect configuration infrastructure, and offers a way to connect these techniques with model-integrated computing (Ledeczi et al. 2001) approaches to further reduce the programming burden on DRE system developers. third, it describes alternative mechanisms to ensure correct configuration of the aspects involved, and notes the phases of the DRE system lifecycle at which each such configuration mechanism is most ap

In recent years, parking technology has seen significant advancements, with many automobile manufacturers incorporating automatic parking systems into their new vehicles. A critical component of these systems is parking route planning, which involves accurately describing parking scenarios and vehicle kinematics by formulating the problem as an optimal control problem. It is difficult to parameterize the optimal control problem as a nonlinear programming (NLP) problem. Instead, in this paper the optimal control problem is discretized into a relatively tractable NLP problem using an orthogonal configuration finite element method. Previously many used the Interior Point Optimize (IPOPT) solver in interior point method to solve the NLP problem, whereas in this study a new solver Nonlinear Interior-point Trust Region Optimization (KNITRO) solver will be proposed, which is simulated and compared with the IPOPT solver to verify that it is more effective in making the traj ectories of perpendicular and parallel parking paths planning shorter and requires less time.

A growing range of data sets have been created in recent years;these are used by platforms and software applications and kept in remote access repositories. Datasets are therefore more susceptible to harmful attacks. As a result, network security in data transmission is becoming a more important area of study. One well-known method for safeguarding computer systems is the deployment of intrusion detection systems. this study proposes an artificial intelligence based method for data analysis-based anomaly detection. Methods based on machine learning and rules are mixed together. the right rules are created via a genetic algorithm. Relevant features are extracted using principal component analysis with the goal of enhancing performance. the KDD Cup 1999 dataset is used to empirically validate the suggested procedure, satisfying the criterion of using appropriate data. Using the well-known benchmark dataset, the suggested approach is used to identify and examine four different kinds of attacks: Neptune, Ipsweep, Pod, and Teardrop. During the machine learning phase, the data is categorized into categories of attacks and normal behavior after the features set during the training phase are tested. For the purpose of data analysis, the input data is divided into training and testing sets for an artificial neural network. the first 80% of the data are used to train the neural network, and the remaining 20% are used for testing. the estimated accuracy improves with the number of epochs and is higher for training data and lower for validation test data, according to experimental results. Consequently, the trained model can be retained and used to detect discrepancies. the learnt model is used to the system to compute new input parameters that are not used during training or validation. © 2024 IEEE.

Plato believed in a "pure" reality, where ideas existed in their perfection into eternity. What we perceive as reality, he claimed, is merely a flawed shadow of this ideal world. Many mathematicians find this view appealing since it is precisely this universe of ideas that is the subject of their exploration and discovery. the computer, and more specifically, software, seem perfectly suited to this viewpoint. they allow us to create our own reality, one in which we can simply ignore the underlying physics, forget the tyranny of inertial mass, the drudgery of dealing with machinery that leaks or parts that do not quite fit. But, can we? Even in the ideal world with infinite resources, we have discovered that there are limits to computability. However, the situation with computers and software is much more dire than mere limits on what can be computed. As computers today play an indispensable part of our daily lives we find that more and more of the software in them needs to interact with the physical world. Unfortunately, the current generation of software technologies and practices are constructed around the old Platonic ideal. Standard wisdom in designing software encourages us to ignore the underlying technological platform Ð after all, it is likely to change in a few years anyway Ð and focus exclusively on the program "logic". However, when physical distribution enters the picture, we find that mundane things such as transmission delays or component failures may have a major impact on that logic. the need to deal with this kind of raw physical "stufi" out of which the software is constructed has been relegated to highly specialised areas, such as real-time programming. the result is that we are singularly unprepared for the coming new generation of Internet-based software. component frameworks simplify development of enterprise systems and enable code reuse, but most frameworks are unpredictable and hence unsuitable for embedded or real-time systems. Similarly, Java is increasingly being used to build embedded system software because of its portability and ease of use. the Real-Time Specification for Java (RTSJ) reduces the unpredictability in Java execution times by eliminating the need for a garbage collector. However, it introduces programming complexity that makes it difficult to build non-trivial applications. To bring the advantages of Java component development to DRE systems, while simultaneously simplifying the use of RTSJ, therefore, we have developed a new lightweight component model for RTSJ called Compadres. Compadres offers the following advantages: 1) Simple component definition in Java that abstracts away RTSJ memory management complexity; 2) System assembly from components by connecting ports that communicate through strongly-typed objects; 3) the Compadres compiler that automatically generates the scoped memory architecture for components, while the component framework handles communication between the components. To validate this work, we construct a non-trivial example application using the component framework, a simple real-time CORBA implementation. We then analyze the performance and efficiency of our component example versus a non-component example, RTZen. Our measurements show that our Compadres example built with components incurs only minor time overhead as compared to a comparable hand-coded example.
