Mining query sub-intents or sub-topics is one of the important task in information retrieval. It provides the user several potential queries to explore possible search intents of the user. With the development of Big Data and Natural Language processing, pre-trained language models have been applied to model complex semantic information of different text resources for mining robust query sub-intents. these studies usually utilize search results and query logs independently as two important resources to generate query sub-intents. However, we deem that the contextual information contained in search results and user interest information contained in query logs can be incorporated together to enhance the effectiveness of user sub-intent mining, which can maximize the best of both resources. To generate high-quality sub-intents, we design a sequence-to-sequence pre-trained language model which accepts search result texts and query suggestions extracted from query logs as the input, and outputs generated sub-intent phrases. For modeling the relation between search results and query logs, we design two information encoder and a novel attention mechanism at the decoder part. At each decoding step, the model weights the attention between the input search results and query logs to determine the output token. the experimental results on MIMICS dataset outperform strong baseline methods in almost all evaluation metrics, illustrating the effectiveness of our proposed methods. We also conduct removing studies to prove the effectiveness of search results and query logs individually, and then study and compare different generation paradigms of sub-intent with experiments. We finally show several generated examples to illustrate the quality of our generated sub-intents directly.

Text-to-image generation is a cutting-edge technology that enables computers to generate images from textual descriptions. While this technology has been extensively researched and applied to English language text, applying it to Arabic language text is still in its early stages. Additionally, the Arabic language is challenging due to its right-to-left writing system and extensive vocabulary of 1.3 million words. In this paper, we explore text-to-image generation for generating images from Arabic language text descriptions. Firstly, we fine-tune a transformer-based model pre-trained on the Arabic text to transform the text information into affine transformation within the DF-GAN generator. Secondly, we present a text transformer that combines LSTM layers to address the limitation of unrecognized words. thirdly, a mask predictor is trained into the generator using a weakly supervised method and incorporated into the affine transformation for a more effective integration of image and text features. In addition, we add the DAMSM loss function as a regularization to the loss function to achieve convergences and stability in the training phase. the experiment on two challenging datasets CUB and Oxford-flower shows that our architectures can accurately generate high-quality images faithfully representing the Arabic textual descriptions. We believe the scaling of this task could have critical applications in fields such as Arabic visual learning, e-commerce, advertising, and entertainment.

Cross-lingual N-shot transfers are often used to solve low-resource language problems. However, the result of transfer in different languages can be inconsistent due to large fluctuations in accuracy. To reduce the inconsistency caused by the fluctuation of accuracy and improve the overall accuracy of Cross-lingual N-shot transfer, we propose the use of Multitasking Cross-lingual N-shot transfer. To the best of our knowledge, our propose Multitasking Cross-lingual N-shot transfer is the first method to combine Multitasking Learning and Cross-lingual N-shot transfer. By training with multiple languages simultaneously, the model can learn multilingual common semantic features from different languages, decreasing the fluctuations in accuracy, and also having a higher overall accuracy compared to traditional method with single high-resource language. the method presented in this paper can effectively reduce 93.2% of the accuracy fluctuations and improve the overall accuracy by 10.4% in NLI. © 2022 IEEE.

Considering the diversity of topological structures of parallel mechanisms (PMs), this paper presents an approach for the automated generation of topological structure models based on CAD technology. In this method, joints and links are treated as fundamental elements in the skeleton model of a mechanical system, leading to the development of a library of fundamental components readily available to compose a variety of limbs and PMs. A connection graph and its data structure are then developed for describing, in a hierarchical manner, the assembly information among the fundamental components. Equipped with the knowledge and information mentioned above, the limbs and PMs can finally be assembled automatically by identifying and imposing the geometrical constraints that have been already embedded in the models. the merit of this method lies in that 3D schematic diagrams (termed topological structure models) of various limbs and PMs can be created in an illustrative manner by properly selecting a set of fundamental components and then setting their connections, leading to the digitalized and visible topological structure models that are readily for kinematic performance evaluation. Combined with the CAD-CAE integration technology for the mechanical structure design and static/dynamic performance evaluation, a digital design and simulation framework can be formulated for the rapid design of parallel robotic equipment. © 2023 IEEE.

It is a promising solution to connect distributed generators (DGs) units to the grid via synchronverter. However, the differences between the parallel system composed of two synchronverters will affect the transient stability of the system, the fixed parameters cannot be applied to both steady state and dynamic state, which could threaten the stable operation of the system. Variable parameters using frequency or rate of change of frequency (ROCOF) are affected by grid voltage unbalance and harmonics. To solve this problem, a centralized virtual electromagnetic torque compensation control is proposed. In this paper, the reason of power oscillation of multi-VSG system is analyzed by taking the parallel system as an example. Based on this, a centralized virtual electromagnetic torque compensation control is proposed, and compared with the traditional control mode, the results show that the proposed control strategy can effectively reduce the oscillation frequency and attenuation coefficient of the system. A simulation model is built in Matlab/Simulink to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control strategy over the traditional control. © 2023 IEEE.

As networks grow larger and more intricate, failures become unavoidable. Interconnection networks need continual and reliable functioning, as well as effective routing methods for transmitting data among processors. Ensuring fault tolerance in routing, especially through independent spanning trees (ISTs), is crucial. the 3-ary n-cube network (Qn3) boasts numerous properties such as low vertex degree, regularity, and straightforward implementation. In this paper, We have presented an effective parallel constructive approach for ISTs on Qn3 relying on the ascending sequence. Derived from the ISTs constructed before, we obtain a fault-tolerant routing system that utilizes those as its routing table. Following this, we evaluate the effectiveness of the fault-tolerant routing mechanism through simulated data. Simulated data reveals a progressive escalation in transmission success rates as dimensionality increases, approaching near-perfection at almost 100%. Its findings can provide a valuable benchmark and offer insights into the efficacy of fault-tolerant communication within a broad spectrum of cube-based systems. © IFIP international Federation for Information processing 2025.

As a critical operation in numerical computing, matrix multiplication is widely used in many high-performance applications. the new generation Shenwei processor is the newest many-core processor with powerful computing capacity, thus it's necessary to enable highly efficient matrix multiplication on it. In this paper, we present a detailed implementation of double-precision matrix multiplication on Shenwei processor and further perform deep optimizations in terms of both memory access and computing. We employ a three-level task partitioning scheme mapping blocked matrix multiplication to each mem-ory hierarchy to improve computational parallelism and data reusability. And the dual broadcasting algorithm enables efficient parallel computing on chip. For further optimization, we present a three-level latency hiding strategy to bridge the performance gap between computing and memory access, where the hybrid data prefetch effectively hides DMA memory access and RMA communication costs. And the adaptive blocking algorithm is proposed for sake of the generality of algorithms towards various matrix sizes and shapes. High-performance matrix multiplication is highly correlated with the compute kernel, and we propose the register-buffering instruction scheduling with latency hiding strategy to maximize pipeline efficiency. the experiments show that the performance of our algorithm can reach 2 TFLOPS at large scales, near the theoretical peak performance. And the hybrid prefetch can improve performance by 82 %, while the adaptive blocking not only improves performance but also smoothes the performance jitter of irregular matrix multi-plications. the compute kernel with instruction scheduling is highly optimized and can achieve more than 380% performance improvement. © 2022 IEEE.

the paper considers a problem of designing a transfer line, in which machines can execute blocks of parallel tasks. It is assumed that some tasks may have uncertain processing times and it is required to find a line configuration to maximize a stability radius, which is a widely used metric for evaluating a robustness of a system. the earlier studies on this problem did not impose any limits on the possible increase of the task processing times, which could lead to solutions that correspond to rather improbable or impossible situations from the practical point of view. In this paper, a more realistic assumption that the processing time may vary within a certain interval is made. A way to calculate the stability radius under this assumption is proposed and a metaheuristic optimization approach is developed. In the experimental study, the solutions under the old and the new settings are compared and discussed. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Scheduling is a common decision-making process that plays a vital role in many manufacturing systems and information processing environments. Usually, all jobs in a scheduling problem need to be dispatched, and the objective function is related to the state after all jobs are completed. However, in order to balance the contradiction between the cost and the performance, many practice scenarios no longer require processing all jobs. the scheduling problem that only considers the completion of part jobs is referred to as percentile scheduling problem. In this work, we pave the way for it. We study and theoretically analyze the two percentile scheduling model of the multi-parallel machine environment, considering there is a release time or not. We propose an algorithm with a guaranteed approximation ratio for the model without release time to reduce our problem to the counterpart in the classical scheduling model. For the model with release time, an algorithm named CONVERT is designed, which combined with SRPT can produce a scheduling sequence with an approximation ratio of 6.
