It is known that the multiplier is widely applied, and to produce the outputs for the next stage, there is a reliance on the previous stage. Due to this, the multiplication process takes time to complete. As the binary bit counts of the multiplier and multiplicand increase, it takes longer to generate the output. this longer delay can severely impair the overall performance of digital systems, especially in applications requiring high-speed computations. therefore, optimizing the Multiplier for both speed and power efficiency is crucial to enhancing the performance of modern computing architectures. To achieve this optimization, various techniques such as parallel processing and reduced gate counts can be employed. Moreover, utilising advanced algorithms and hardware accelerators can enhance the efficiency of these multipliers in challenging computational settings. this will affect the circuit performance. A new technique known as the reordering technique is implemented in this project to enhance the multiplier in terms of speed and efficiency. this method is implemented by separating the high-state bits from the low-state bits using the reordering circuit, and then the separated bits are processed in the usual manner. this helps in the reduction of critical path latency, which benefits by enhancing the circuit's power consumption as less power is being released as heat or another form.

We propose to aid the hiring process by automatic profiling of a candidate's social media presence and using it in conjunction with their resume and other information to suggest an employability score and an emotional intelligence indicator. Algorithmic hiring usually supports the hiring company and does not factor in social media presence of the candidate. the work we propose in this paper can also be used by the job seekers to evaluate their chances and uses a comprehensive profile of the candidate. Our approach uses social media profiling using APIs and web crawlers, evaluating soft skills, shortlisting candidates based on keywords, skill-set, and educational requirements and suggesting a match using Machine Learning and NLP techniques. the resulting application provides a faster, accurate, efficient, and relatively bias-free recruitment process to the companies and to the job seekers. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development of artificial intelligence, image recognition technology has been applied to various aspects of life, such as license plate recognition. License plate recognition has many application scenarios in real life, but due to various interferences in daily life, the accuracy of license plate recognition is often affected. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of license plate recognition, we need to integrate image processing technology into license plate image recognition pre-processing technology, and use Gaussian filter, grayscale, binarization to complete license plate image pre-processing, so as to reduce the interference of objective conditions on license plate recognition efficiency. through experiments, we know that using image recognition technology can reduce the computational power consumption of license plate recognition systems, improve image recognition efficiency and accuracy.

Tourism is an important sector which can boost the economy of a country. Tourist recommender systems are used to provide recommendations to tourists based on their preferences. the prime challenge a tourist face while visiting tourist spots in a country is in determining a tourist spot to visit next that best suits their age. this paper proposes a deep learning-based system called TSR-Net that recommends next tourist spot from images of a tourist in Dubai by predicting the age group and the current tourist spot. TSR-Net uses two pretrained MobileNet models for this purpose. One MobileNet predicts the age group from the image and the other MobileNet identifies the current tourist spot from the image. Once the age group and the current tourist spot are identified the next suitable tourist spot is recommended to the tourist. the TSR-Net is applied to datasets to evaluate its performance on age group classification (AGC) and tourist spot detection (TSD). Results proveed that the proposed model achieved the best accuracy of 82% and 100% for AGC and TSD. the proposed model was also tested on a custom dataset and showed satisfactory results. the TSR-Net classifies a person into one of 3 age groups (less than 18, 18-45, more than 45), identifies 4 tourist spots in Dubai, UAE (Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Ain Dubai) and recommends 20 different places. thus, the proposed model will help tourists visit appropriate places according to their age and present location. © 2022 IEEE.

the production scheduling with restricted machine availability problem is known to be NP-Hard problem since the time complexity increase exponentially with the required number of jobs increasing. this fact enforces researchers to find approximate solutions for these problems by heuristics and meta-heurisics. Another state-of-the-art solution methodology which may help solving the problem exactly and saves time is the cloud computing. By using parallel computing via cloud we solved larger problems exactly than those solved by total enumeration. the results showed that by using parallel computing via cloud and by adding more workers (represented here as processing cores) the problem solution speed up could be gained and problems with more number of jobs could be solved exactly by the proposed total enumeration algorithm. Cloud computing could be the next generation in the field of solving optimization techniques exactly.

A random walk is a process in which a random walker takes consecutive steps in space at equal intervals of time, with the length and direction of each step determined independently. Models related to random walks have been applied in diverse areas such as prediction, recommendation algorithms, and more recently, supervised learning and network analysis. Notably, there is a shortage of parallel computing models for random walks on distributed graphs across various scenarios. therefore, the objective of this work is to offer a versatile model for random walks on distributed graphs, covering network principles and algorithmic models, followed by their parallel implementations. Evaluation results demonstrate the remarkable efficiency of our network model and highlight the future prospects of parallel random walks.

In order to address the significant impact of cloud cover on photovoltaic (PV) power due to its obscuring effect, and the challenge of accurately mapping the relationship between cloud information and PV power. Traditional PV power prediction methods often overlook the influence of cloud structure and meteorological elements on PV power. A proposed solution is a short-term PV power prediction method that considers satellite cloud imagery. Firstly, standardization and de-biasing processes are applied to visible light cloud images obtained from satellites, eliminating the intraday variability of these images. Subsequently, a gated recurrent neural network is employed to capture the impact features of cloud cover. Finally, by integrating cloud cover features with other influencing factors, a mapping relationship with PV power is established for prediction. Results indicate that the proposed model effectively addresses the intraday variability of cloud images, achieves precise localization of cloud feature regions, and demonstrates good predictive performance. this research provides valuable insights for cloud-based PV power prediction. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Fast FIR algorithm (FFA) produces reduced complexity parallel FIR filtering structure. the FFA can reduce the number of multiplications significantly for large value of filter length N. In this paper we have proposed a new approach to design 2-parallel and 3-parallel (i.e. M= 2 and 3) even length FIR filter with polyphase coefficient symmetry based on FFA. Replacement of multipliers by adders is beneficial, in VLSI applications as adders have lesser weight than multipliers. Additionally, although the overhead caused by the increment of adders in the preprocessing and postprocessing blocks remains constant, the number of multipliers reduce with increase in filter length. For a 3-parallel 88-tap filter, the proposed structure saves more than 14 multipliers, whereas for a 3-parallel 578-tap filter, the proposed parallel structure saves more than 96 multipliers. Similarly for a 2-parallel 88-tap filter, the proposed structure saves 22 multipliers and for 578-tap it saves 144 multipliers over reported FFAs. Overall, the suggested parallel FIR structures can result in significant hardware savings over the reported FFAs, especially for longer filter lengths.

this paper introduces a parallel data checking system for image capture device. the system adopts a very efficient multi-threading processing software system architecture, which includes main control unit, user interface, data input/out, single frame data checking and multi-frame data checking components. Single frame data checking unit is composed of a thread scheduling unit and a thread pool. A thread scheduling algorithm is designed and implemented, which ensures that each core of the multi-core CPU can efficiently participate in data checking tasks. the efficiency and usefulness of the parallel processing system are verified by multiple image data checking tasks for space based camera.
