We analyze the energy requirements for assessing the heating load of building systems using the k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method for classification. Unsupervised transformations of the dataset are employed in learning algorithms. Two distinct data representation classes are generated separately from the original dataset based on captured heating load magnitudes. the unsupervised transformations of the dataset yield 4 and 8 classes, *** evaluate performance, various test and training sizes are employed, comparing measurement outcomes and predicting class label descriptions for two dataset representations as the parameter for the nearest neighbor (k) ranges from 1 to 20. Results obtained from the simulation indicate that accuracy is influenced by factors such as test size, the k parameter, and dataset class count. the training and test accuracy rates reach maximum values of 95% and 85%, respectively. Keeping k constant, the test size has a negligible impact on accuracy. the classes exhibit three critical regions: 1) Region I, where accuracy fluctuates with increasing k in the interval [1]-[5], and 2) Region II, where accuracy declines with increasing k in the interval [5]-[10]. In Region III k [10]-[20], accuracy remains relatively constant. While reducing the number of classes may result in a slight improvement in accuracy by simplifying the classification task, the trade-offs and complexities of increasing the number of classes for data representation should be carefully considered. Although this approach can lead to a more flexible design, it may slightly reduce accuracy.

the paper aims to remove distortion from analog media like old photographs due to several reasons like shredding and using multiple template matching techniques. First of all, is to convert the determined photograph into its digital representation to get the pixels’ intensities, then we extract the distorted templates to manipulate them by scanning the templates one by one on the whole image to determine the template position in the image, this achieved by applying Structural Similarity Index Measurement SSIM metric between the determined distorted template and the corresponding template in the whole image, this process is called matching step, then after determining the distorted template, now we will apply the proposed algorithm (equations) on that template to remove the distortion, also we applied a comparison using both SSIM and Mean Squared Error MSE metrics to determine the optimal template size depending on the following factors processing efficiency and execution speed.

Users are often interested in a specific type of data (preferences) available from a large volume of data collected on the system. An efficient and effective system that can only store the user preferred data from the large raw data set helps the users to search for relevant information on time. the motivation behind this paper is to devise such a technique. the technique uses machine learning as well as parallel processing to efficiently filter out the user preferred data from a large raw data set. Firstly, the technique stores the filtered data and discards the remaining data which saves storage space for the user. Secondly, it leads to an enhanced searching experience for the user by reducing the search latency. Running the filtering operation can be CPU intensive which often leads to high latency for extracting user preferred data from the raw data set. To solve this problem, the technique employs parallel processing and machine learning, thus reducing the data filtering latency while making the data searching process faster for the user. A proof-of-concept prototype for this technique has been built on the Apache Spark parallel processing engine. the prototype is subjected to several performance experiments using synthetic datasets. the analysis of experimental results shows the viability of the proposed technique and provides insights into system behavior and performance. © 2021 IEEE.

Multi-function radar can flexibly adjust their working modes and carry out multiple tasks in parallel, posing great challenges to radar intelligence reconnaissance. Identifying the working mode of multi-functional radar is the foundation of subsequent threat assessment, adaptive confrontation and guided attack, which directly determines the effectiveness of radar countermeasures. In this paper, a new method of multi-function radar working mode recognition based on Relational Graph Attention Network (RGAT) is proposed. the simulation results show that the accuracy of this paper's method for multi-functional radar working mode identification reaches 98.40% under 5% estimation error, which is higher than that of GAT model and GCN model, and it can effectively identify different working modes; in the case of 10% of spurious pulses and 40% of missing pulses, the accuracy of the identification is more than 94%, which is highly robust.

this paper presents a novel method for the tooth profile design of circular splines in double-circular-arc harmonic drives, utilizing solely the Finite Element Method (FEM). A double-circular-arc tooth profile with two profiled edges at the dedendum and addendum circle is parameterized. By considering material properties and eliminating unrealistic assumptions, the method allows for a more realistic reflection of the actual deformation. the design process is validated through four cases. Compared to the conventional envelope theory, this FEM-based technique reduces the constraints on tooth parameters, thereby expanding the design space. the study also reveals that the parameters of the wave generator significantly influent tooth profile design, necessitating consideration of both the flexible spline teeth and wave generator parameters in the design process. the findings demonstrate the potential of this method in providing a more flexible and realistic design approach for harmonic drive tooth profiles.

the present chapter is a continuation of the work in [6]. We construct an approximation of order 2- α of the Caputo derivative. the approximation is related to the midpoint sum of the integral in the definition of the Caputo derivative. the generating functions of the approximation involves the polylogarithm function of order α. the weights of the approximation have similar properties as the weights of the L1 approximation. We construct induced shifted approximations of order 2- α of the Caputo derivative and the second-order shifted Grünwald difference formula approximations. the optimal shift values of the approximations are determined, where the approximations have second and third order accuracy respectively. We study also some applications of the approximations for the two-term equation’ numerical solutions. the developed reliable approximations will be important for applications in intelligent robot systems, control theory and signal processing. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this paper, we propose an image contrast enhancement mechanism by analysing the dominant colour component of every contributory pixel. the contrast enhancement is performed on the regions having similar dominating colour components by employing local histogram equalization. the process ensures the increment of the colour purity by preserving the level of brightness which is a major drawback of histogram equalization-based methods. the proposed method provides satisfactory results without any learning mechanism applied in the system which reduces the execution time of the process as well. the proposed algorithm is formulated, experimented and tested on a large set of standard colour images, in RGB format, collected from various databases. We compare the proposed method with both standalone and learning based image enhancement algorithms from the literature. the comparative analysis establishes the efficacy of the proposed method.

According to the flight test requirements, it is necessary to employ the photogrammetry method in the bomb cabin. the high-speed camera should be installed at the appropriate position within the bomb cabin for binocular stereoscopic rendezvous measurement. this will enable testing of weapon projection at different altitudes of the aircraft and facilitate detection of separation process, speed, and attitude of ejection weapons within the weapon cabin. In order to assess accuracy of the airborne high-speed image test system and ensure scientific rigor during type test flight, this paper proposes a theoretical analysis method for measuring accuracy of such system. Additionally, two measurement schemes are designed for front wall installation and side wall installation in the bomb bay respectively. Furthermore, missile body separation tests are simulated in a design laboratory to verify accuracy of proposed measurement scheme for airborne high-speed image measurement system. Experimental results demonstrate that installing a high-speed camera on the side wall of the bomb cabin yields higher measurement accuracy and can be applied effectively in subsequent test flights for scientific research models.

In control systems, external analog signals need to be converted into digital signals. When sampling external input analog signals, such as voltage or current, it is necessary to process the small analog signal amplification or large signal reduction to the digital signal that can be sampled normally by the ADC;at the same time, the complexity of the external environment will affect the accuracy of sampling, and the input and output isolation processing needs to be carried out. therefore, in order to solve the problem of low sampling accuracy of analog signal ADC in complex environment, this paper proposes an analog signal isolation conditioning circuit, which can filter out the high-frequency noise in the input signal without affecting the rapid sampling of the ADC, and use two-stage operation amplification to perform gain and zero compensation processing, so that the conditioned signal has high accuracy, good linearity, and strong anti-interference ability, which meets the design requirements. through functional and stress tests, the functional correctness and performance stability of the analog signal isolation conditioning circuit proposed in this paper are verified. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Lots of Face recognition technology has seen significant advancements in these years. It offers many applications such as in security systems, surveillance, and biometric authentication. With all these deep learning techniques spreading around, the performance of face recognition algorithms has got better. But the computational demands still back from getting all the way there. processing large datasets or real-time video streams can be a real challenge sometimes. Anyhow, this project brings right off a new way to face recognition by using GPU support besides Python libraries like OpenCV and face_recognition. By stepping into the world of parallel processing power provided by GPUs, our system just speeds up the process of face recognition by miles compared to the old-fashioned CPU-based setups. the real deal is that GPU support can do parallel computation of some complex neural network operations, speeding up the inference times vastly. this is a huge plus for the applications that crave real-time or like-real-time performance, like surveillance systems and video analytics.
