the discovery of natural local resources for tanning and coloring agents are growing dramatically to sustain a cleaner leather manufacturing technology. Gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb) has been found potential as tannin and dyestuffs for leather and textile industry. therefore, to explore these issues, a combination tanning and finishing system were evaluated to observe the efficiency of this extract on leather processing. A combination tanning system based on chrome or glutaraldehyde-gambir and followed by gambir as coloring agent with different concentrations (100-200 parts/L) have been applied. In this FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) analysis of gambir extract showed the presence of phenolic hydroxyl group. Our results revealed that chrome-gambir and glutaraldehyde-gambir finished leather product with 150 parts/L of gambir extract showed excellent rub fastness, color fastness to perspiration and washing. Most of the result values obtained were generally at satisfactory levels which were between 3/4 and 5 fastness values. Visual evaluation reported that chrome-gambir finished leather product with 150 parts/L of gambir extract exhibited better uniformity of colour fastness. © 2020 Toate drepturile asupra acestei ediţii sunt rezervate editorilor.

Annotation. Mathematical models of reforming reactors of a catalytic reforming unit of the LG-35-11 / 300-95 type of the Atyrau oil refinery have been built. Since this technological unit is characterized by a deficit of quantitative information and the vagueness of some of the available information, the ideas of the system analysis methodology were used in the work, which allows the systematic use of information of various nature in a complex. Mathematical models of reforming reactors are developed on the basis of the systematic use of statistical information based on experimental statistical methods and fuzzy information based on expert assessment methods. As a result, a system of hybrid-type models was built, i.e. the models are built on the basis of experimental-statistical and fuzzy information. In this case, the models describing the dependence of the volume of production, i.e. produced gasoline and technical hydrogen from the input, operating parameters are obtained in the form of statistical models in the form of regression equations of multiple regression. And fuzzy models that assess the quality indicators of gasoline are built in the form of fuzzy multiple regression equations with fuzzy parameters. the processes of obtaining, formalizing, processing and using fuzzy information in developing a model are based on the methods of expert assessments and theories of fuzzy sets. To determine the structures of the developed models, the idea of the method of sequential inclusion of regressors was used. And for parametric identification, i.e. to determine the values of the regression coefficients, a modified least squares method was applied. In order to identify fuzzy parameters, first on the basis of level sets α=0.5; 0.75; 1, the fuzzy regression equation is transformed into an equivalent system of conventional regression equations for various α. then the regression coefficients of the obtained regression equations for each level are identified by the usual meth

We present a highly parallel version of the boundary element method accelerated by the adaptive cross approximation for the efficient solution of scattering problems with composite scatterers. Individual boundary integral operators are treated independently, i.e. the boundary of every homogeneous subdomain is decomposed into clusters of elements defining a block structure of the local matrix. the blocks are distributed across computational nodes by a graph algorithm providing a load balancing strategy. the intra-node implementation further utilizes threading in shared memory and in-core SIMD vectorization to make use of all features of modern processors. the suggested approach is validated on a series of numerical experiments presented in the paper. © the Author(s).

In this paper, a lightweight, parallel computing and storage, high energy efficiency CNN accelerator based on FPGA was designed. According to the characteristics of forward inference structure of deep convolution neural network, the parallel characteristics of convolution operation are analyzed from two aspects of computational efficiency and data reuse rate, and the full parallel pipeline implementation of full connection layer is studied. the accelerator has adopted full parallel pipeline structure to improve the computational efficiency, and making full use of various convolution parallel computing architectures to balance the requirements of computing efficiency, parameters and data load bandwidth, a lightweight and tightly coupled accelerator architecture is designed based on the characteristics of hardware resources such as internal computing, logic and storage in FPGA. In the validation test of open data set based on ImageNet, the accelerator is deployed on Xilinx Virtex7-690T FPGA with 28nm technology, under the working frequency of 200MHz, the maximum number of multiplication and addition operation is 1728 times per cycle, the peak operation rate is 691.2Gops, the energy ratio is 138.24Gops/w. In the end, the classification results are consistent with the processing results using double-precision floating-point data format.

this study aimed at multiple response optimization for the process parameters during friction stir processing (FSP) of aluminium (Al 6061) alloy plate using response surface methodology and grey relation analysis. the experiments are conducted by varying the process parameter namely tool profile, tool rotation speed and tool feed. the process parameters are devised to optimize the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation percentage (EL%). the design of experiment is adopted based on the response surface methodology (RSM) randomized central composite design (CCD) using Design Expert11 software. the grey relation analysis (GRA) is used to optimize the multi response into a single objective by evaluating the process parameters using grey relation grade (GRG). the optimum process parameters are obtained based on GRG and a validation test is conducted to the confirm the findings. the experimental findings have predicted that the responses of friction stir processing can be enhanced by the integrated approach. © 2019 IEEE.

Human activity recognition can be applied to various applications, ranging from intelligent security to medical care. Action recognition via WiFi had caught great attention due to its ubiquity, non-occlusion and privacy preservation. Movement of human body can cause fluctuations in the wireless signal reflection, resulting in fluctuation of channel state information (CSI), which is computed from the received WiFi signal containing detailed information of current channel conditions for different sub-carriers and spatial streams, and this can be used to classify human activities. In this paper, we focus on the human activity recognition problem based on the features extracted from CSI data using deep neural network. First, the application of human activity classification as well as data preprocessing techniques are introduced in details, and then a fully connected network is developed as the baseline network model. Furthermore, the weight sharing technique is introduced with the similarity network structure, and a new hybrid loss containing the classification loss and similarity loss is proposed. Experiment results are also included and show that the proposed network can achieve higher classification accuracy than the baseline model. © 2020 IEEE.

this paper considers an offline scheduling problem of identical parallel machines where every machine is subject to at most one unavailability period. We assume that the jobs can be interrupted and resumed at any available machine. In other words, if a job is interrupted because of the unavailability of a machine it can be whether resumed at the same machine when it becomes available, or at any other available machine. the objective is to minimize the completion time of the last job *** problem can be represented as Pm|r-a, pmtn| Cmax. To solve this problem, we proposed a new method based on list scheduling techniques. In addition, we developed new theoretical lower and upper bounds. then, we developed absolute performance bounds for the method. An absolute performance bound is a bound between the method's makespan and the optimal makespan for all possible instances of the problem. In addition, we formulated the studied problem as a mixed integer quadratic model that is sued to generate optimal solutions. Finally, we conducted an experimental study in which many instances of different sizes and parameters were generated and solved. the results proved that the new methods are performing very well for most of the tested instances. © 2019 IEEE.

In the last two decades deep learning has attracted a lot of attention internationally, solving problems in different application domains and achieving results beyond expectations. For example it has been applied in bioinformatics, game playing, imaging processing, object detection, robotic and drug discovery. One of the main reasons for the incremented use of deep learning algorithms is the need to implement approaches for the analysis of the large amount of data produces in every field, bringing researchers to dedicate their work to deep learning development. One of the main topics discussed up today is the possibility to run the training of deep models in a parallel fashion, so to reduce the time otherwise needed to find the hyperparameters and to make the achievement of the result faster. © 2019 IEEE.

Fractional calculus is a generalization of integration and derivation to noninteger order with a fundamental operator. Due to the extra free parameter of noninteger order a, fractional order based methods provide additional degree of freedom in optimization performance. Expectedly fractional-order based methods have find their applications in image processing field. In this work color analysis applied pomegranate and orange pictures. After color analysis edge detection is used to segment fruits in the picture. For segmentation a fractional order calculus based Sobel operator is used. the performance of the system is evaluated with respect to the noninteger order alpha.

the quality of image usually depends on various factors including noise, light, and temperature. Noise has a decisive role in the image as it is constantly present in different digital images. Noise implication may present during the image coding, transmission and development process. Noise removal has become an eye-catching and dynamic field in the Image processing domain. there is a significant recent advance in filtering of different kinds of noises for digital image processing. In this paper the problem of de-blurring in the presence of various noises is studied. A comparison among various filtering techniques is made in the presence of different kinds of noises. the experiments show that the Adaptive filter method performance is appealing both visually and in terms of objective quality measures that as the color peak-signal-to-noise ratio (CPSNR) and the mean square error (MSE) for Gaussian noise, Speckle noise, Poisson noise, while median filter demonstrates the visual objectives for salt and pepper noise. © 2019 IEEE.
