In this paper, a control framework for an upper limb exoskeleton rehabilitation robot is proposed, emphasising the strict implementation of safety protocols to guarantee that patients in the early stages of rehabilitation can accurately follow normal human activity postures for training. First, the interpolating polynomials are optimised by considering the minimum-jerk principle in the generation of the reference trajectories required for training;then a motion-dependent function is proposed for smooth switching between two modes, normal exercise and safe stop;Finally, a non-singular terminal sliding mode (NTSM) method is proposed for accurately tracking the required joint angles, and the exoskeleton tracking error tends to be zero within a finite period of time. Furthermore, the stability of the entire system is ensured by Lyapunov stability. the simulation outcomes illustrate the efficacy and resilience of the proposed control framework. © 2024 IEEE.

the existing human-machine system is limited to processing only equality constraints. To address this limitation, this paper proposes a controller capable of handling both equality and inequality constraints. Leveraging the Generalized Udwadia-Kalaba theory, the designed controller enables the human-machine system to effectively manage these constraints. Simulation results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

In an autonomous driving system, the degree of control of the vehicle's speed and direction is a crucial factor in reflecting its safety and stability. Traditional PID controllers have limited performance in complex dynamic environments due to their fixed gains. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a PID control system based on an adaptive algorithm, which collects the vehicle's differential speed signal in real time, transmits it to an adaptive PID controller, and then accurately controls the motor speed through a PWM modulator. At the same time, the angle error signal generated by the motor is used to dynamically adjust the PID gains to optimize the vehicle's speed and direction control. this paper uses MATLAB's Simulink platform for simulation. the results show that the adaptive PID controller significantly shortens the adjustment time, reduces the system's oscillation phenomenon, and improves the system's stability, making it suitable for autonomous driving tasks under complex road conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advancement of computer vision technology, emotion recognition has become a research hotspot in recent years due to its many applications, including mental state assessment, mental illness detection, human behavior understanding, and psychological analysis. For personnel working long-term in enclosed spaces such as military bases or cabins, more subtle negative emotions may lead to unsafe behaviors, resulting in accidents. To address this issue, this paper employs an optimized MTCNN face detection algorithm and an improved Video Swin Transformer model network to detect negative emotions in such specialized personnel based on facial features. the test results show that the overall accuracy exceeds 80%, outperforming existing emotion classifiers. this greatly reduces the likelihood of safety accidents caused by emotional state-induced operational errors, providing new insights and inspiration for future research. © 2024 IEEE.

Medical robotics is a field that combines engineering and artificial intelligence to create robotic systems used in healthcare. this study aims to delve into the exciting field of developing medical-targeted drug delivery systems, which hold immense potential for revolutionizing how we administer therapeutic substances. By precisely delivering drugs to specific sites within the body, these innovative systems offer improved treatment outcomes, reduced side effects, and enhanced patient compliance. therefore, an image processing algorithm for visible target detection was designed, a system to determine the coordinates of the exact location of identified regions of the target was developed, and a trajectory plan for the robotic arm end effector for precise drug delivery was also designed. the integration of robotic systems into MRI scanners, the development of image processing algorithms, and also real-time feedback control systems are mechatronics-based processes. Medical image navigation technology has many uses in minimally invasive robots, mainly image acquisition techniques such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to acquire equivalent image data;however, medical imaging techniques have inefficient visibility in robotic-assisted surgeries of small and confined incisions. therefore, image processing methods are applied to precisely regulate the operation’s location and visibility and improve the procedure’s efficacy, accuracy, and safety. Identifying key quality characteristics (KQCs) in manufacturing processes plays an important role in quality control. this paper proposes a method called GSCV-RF-RFE, which combines Grid Search Cross-Validation (GSCV), Random Forest (RF), and Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE), to identify KQCs in imbalanced production data. In the proposed method, the Multiple Imputation by Chained Equations (MICE) algorithm is employed for multiple interpolation of the dataset, while the parameters of the RF algorithm are optimized using the GS method. Comparative analysis demonstrates that the GSCV -RF model outperforms six algorithms, and achieves higher model accuracy than Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB). Furthermore, the optimized RF algorithm is combined with a RFE algorithm, and adaptive synthetic sampling is employed to balance the input samples. Spearman correlation analysis is conducted to eliminate strong correlations. Experimental result reveal that the proposed combined strategy achieves a lower Class II error rate and a higher accuracy rate in quality feature identification, indicating its excellent overall performance. © 2024 IEEE.

the evolution of DSD and scattering characteristics during cloud precipitation processes determines the quantifiable constraint relationship between the dual-polarization parameters, known as the self-consistency principle of the parameters. this article further develops the self-consistency principle constraint relationship for dual-polarization parameters in the X-band and designs a correction relationship for the parameter bias of radar reflectivity factor. Experimental results show that under appropriate conditions, correcting the system bias of the X-band dual-polarization radar reflectivity factor using the improved self-consistency principle can improve the accuracy and stability of the correction results. © 2024 IEEE.

Phase noise measures the frequency stability of the signal source in a short time, and it reflects the phase and frequency fluctuation caused by noise. At present, the commonly used phase noise measurement techniques at home and abroad include PLL phase-locked phase detection method and orthogonal digital demodulation method. the phase measurement method of orthogonal digital demodulation avoids the deterioration of near-end sensitivity and the limitation of measurement speed caused by PLL, and is more beneficial to improve the function and performance of phase noise measurement. the purpose of this paper is to study the key algorithms involved in high sensitivity phase noise measurement based on quadrature digital demodulation. First of all, the technical scheme of the orthogonal digital demodulation method is analyzed;then, the key algorithms are studied and simulated;finally, the algorithm is summarized and analyzed to verify its feasibility and practicability. © 2024 IEEE.

Traditional multi-rotor drones are underactuated, with thrust and torque tightly coupled, making independent position and attitude control challenging. To enhance the flexibility and maneuverability of drones, this paper examines the tilt-rotor quadrotor, which offers greater agility compared to conventional quadrotors, enabling more precise control over the drone's position and attitude. We develop a mathematical model for the tilt-rotor quadrotor and utilize a control allocation matrix to linearize the nonlinear control allocation. An adaptive neural network disturbance compensation using a Global Fast Terminal Sliding Mode control algorithm (GFTSMC-RBF) is designed for the dynamics model to estimate and compensate for system uncertainties and coupling effects. the feasibility of this controller is validated through MATLAB and CoppeliaSim simulations. © 2024 IEEE.

To achieve regional coverage of low orbit remote sensing constellation optimization design, this paper proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm with compression factor, which integrates the golden sine algorithm. Compared with traditional particle swarm optimization algorithms, it can better control particle velocity and avoid getting stuck in local optimal solutions during the optimization process. this article is based on the 6N constellation configuration, with the average revisit time and average coverage time as optimization objectives, and applies an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the parameters of satellite orbit. Simulation results show that the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm can converge the minimum average revisit time to 6.5 minutes and the maximum average coverage time to 30 minutes, which is better than the optimization results of the traditional particle swarm algorithm, and can effectively achieve the regional coverage task in Changchun area. © 2024 IEEE.
