Aiming at the problem of high energy consumption of air conditioning system of UAV nest on tower, a low power optimization control method based on expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is proposed. Based on the analysis of the factors affecting the temperature of the UA V nest on the tower, the air conditioning control model of the UA V nest on the tower is constructed. the operating mode of the air conditioning is dynamically adjusted using the EM algorithm, which can significantly reduce the energy consumption while ensuring the stability of the temperature inside the nest, effectively improve the energy efficiency ratio of the air conditioning system, and provide a new solution for the energy-saving operation of the UAV nest. © 2024 IEEE.

Traditional galaxy image classification relies on manual identification and categorization, which is time-consuming and costly. In response to this, this paper proposes a galaxy image classification method based on the combination of ResNet18 and transfer learning. the ResNet18 residual model is pretrained on the ImageNet dataset and the galaxy image training set. During training, the transfer learning (TF) method is employed, and a new fully connected layer is established to classify galaxy image categories into five classes. Experimental results show that this method achieves an accuracy of 93.16%, a precision of 90.40%, a recall of 86.71%, and an F1 score of 88.46%, outperforming methods such as AlexNet, LeNet, and ViT. the experiments demonstrate that transfer learning can accelerate convergence, reduce training time, and ResNet18 can effectively extract the feature information of galaxy images. this study establishes an automated galaxy image classification method, capable of accurately classifying galaxy images. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent advancements in large language models (LLMs) have established pre-training on extensive textual cor-pora as a foundational methodology. However, in specialised applications such as admissions systems, the focus shifts from general knowledge-based reasoning to ensuring accuracy and relevance in domain-specific responses. this study presents the development of an automated admissions system for Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, leveraging GLM-4 in conjunction with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to handle targeted queries. the implementation of RAG mitigates the occurrence of hallucinations often seen in LLM outputs, thereby enhancing the reliability and alignment of generated responses with real-world data, which is critical for prospective students and their parents. this paper details the construction of the RAG corpus and cue word methodology, and provides an empirical comparison of the efficacy of various major language models with and without RAG integration. the results demonstrate the potential of RAG to significantly improveresponse accuracy in domain-specific tasks, and suggest directions for future research in optimising LLMs for admissions processes. © 2024 IEEE.

the task scheduling problem in power systems is complex, especially when communication costs exceed computation costs. this paper proposes an improved HEFT algorithm with a node merging mechanism, merging nodes through hierarchical traversal to assign high-communication-cost tasks to the same processor, reducing communication overhead. Experiments with 499-dimensional and 1614-dimensional matrices from the power system show that the improved algorithm reduces completion time by 5ms and 2ms, respectively, compared to standard HEFT. © 2024 IEEE.

the engine knock experiment was conducted on a small-size two-stroke marine engine. Wavelet transform was used to extract the high-frequency noise signals of engine cylinder pressure and block vibration acceleration. then the characteristic frequency of slight engine knock was obtained by fast Fourier transform. the results show that the combination of wavelet transform and fast Fourier transform can effectively extract the feature of slight knock. therefore, it can be used for knock fault diagnosis. As the ignition advance angle is 26°CA (crank angle) BTDC (before top dead center), the knock characteristic frequency of the cylinder pressure signal is 4.88 kHz, and the knock characteristic frequency of the block vibration acceleration signal is 16.01 kHz. As the ignition advance angle is 30°CA BTDC, the knock characteristic frequency of the cylinder pressure signal is 4.30 kHz, and the knock characteristic frequency of the block vibration acceleration signal is 15.82 kHz. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to realize the industrialization of the new thermoplastic coating method for osmotic pump tablets, it is necessary to develop new continuous coating equipment for thermoplastic coating. In order to accelerate the process of equipment development and reduce the research and development cost, this paper proposed a novel simulation method with VUP and PLC to test and validate the newly designed equipment in a virtual environment. After building a 3D model of the equipment in VUP and designing the PLC control algorithm in PLC, a communication connection is established between PLC and VUP, enabling the PLC at TIA Portal V16 to send control commands to control the mechanical system at VUP and receive feedback from the mechanical system at VUP. the novel simulation method can test and validate the system design, including the program and mechanical structure, in a virtual environment, and the potential problems can be identified in advance to avoid the high costs associated with fixing these problems at the physical prototyping stage. the simulation experiment and its actual experiment results show that the designed hardware and software can realize the continuous thermoplastic coating process. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that the large lag in the measurement of inlet NOx concentration of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) in coal-fired power plants causes the delayed response of the measurement system, and the data are nonlinear and time-varying, we propose a NOx concentration prediction method based on the two-channel feature screening Informer. the model first uses the maximum information coefficient to calculate the correlation coefficient between the feature variables and the inlet NOx concentration, and screens the feature variables with a high degree of correlation, and then adopts the variational modal decomposition algorithm to decompose the inlet NOx concentration, retaining most of the local features and detailed information to reduce the influence of noise and interference on the model prediction, and the data set of the two-channel screening is reorganized to get the reconstructed data set, and finally the reconstructed data set is input into the Informer model to predict the NOx concentration. Finally, the reconstructed data set is input to the Informer model to predict the inlet NOx concentration. the DCF - Informer prediction model is validated with the historical operation data of a 600MW power boiler in a power plant. the experimental results show that the evaluation index R2 is improved by at least 6% compared with other prediction models, which verifies that the model has high prediction accuracy and better generalization effect. It provides strong support for the SCR denitrification system to realize accurate ammonia injection. © 2024 IEEE.

the control mode of permanent magnet synchronous motor commonly used in traction elevator is analyzed, and the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor is introduced to obtain the relationship between motor torque and current parameter change. then, combined with the fuzzy logic control principle, the fuzzy logic control mode of the permanent magnet synchronous motor used in the elevator is analyzed, the effect of the fuzzy logic control system is analyzed, and its impact on the safety performance of the elevator is discussed.

In order to solve the problem of selecting optimal control parameters for various genetic operators in genetic algorithms, this article propose a comprehensive performance evaluation function based on minimizing Euclidean distance in three-dimensional space, Quantitatively evaluate the performance of algorithms with different control parameters by using comprehensive optimization instead of one or two aspects of optimization. the correctness of this method was verified through experiments of directly selecting proportional parameters through selection operators and determining the probability of crossover operators.

the existing human-machine system is limited to processing only equality constraints. To address this limitation, this paper proposes a controller capable of handling both equality and inequality constraints. Leveraging the Generalized Udwadia-Kalaba theory, the designed controller enables the human-machine system to effectively manage these constraints. Simulation results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
