It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the proceedings of the 10th annual event of the international conference on algorithms and architectures for parallel processing (ICA3PP). ICA3PP is recognized as the main regular event covering the many dimensions of parallel algorithms and architectures, encompassing fundamental theoretical - proaches, practical experimental projects, and commercial components and systems. As applications of computing systems have permeated every aspect of daily life, the power of computing systems has become increasingly critical. therefore, ICA3PP 2010 aimed to permit researchers and practitioners from industry to exchange inf- mation regarding advancements in the state of the art and practice of IT-driven s- vices and applications, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future directions of parallel processing. We received a total of 157 submissions this year, showing by both quantity and quality that ICA3PP is a premier conference on parallel processing. In the first stage, all papers submitted were screened for their relevance and general submission - quirements. these manuscripts then underwent a rigorous peer-review process with at least three reviewers per paper. In the end, 47 papers were accepted for presentation and included in the main proceedings, comprising a 30% acceptance rate.

Rapid growth of aluminum in numerous applications has necessitated specialized development of processing techniques by unit manufacturers. Primarily the aluminum magnet wire user has been faced with the task of processing a conductor whose behavioral pattern in relationship to induced stress does not always parallel their past experience. New parameters have had to be set in order to wind, place and form an inherently soft material. Established concepts in winding practices have been altered or modified on a somewhat random basis. In order to provide the magnet wire user with significant data, relative to the ability of aluminum, to tolerate winding stresses, a program was developed to determine critical processing factors. the program undertaken considered specific hardnesses of aluminum conductors to determine whether or not one hardness range would be more suitable for winding than another hardness range. © 1969 IEEE.

the international conference on Asian Digital Libraries (ICADL) was born in Hong Kongin 1998and hosted in Taipei (1999),Seoul(2000),Bangalore(2001), Singapore (2002), Kuala Lumpur (2003), Shanghai (2004) and Bangkok (2005). ICADL 2006 held in Kyoto, Japan was the 9th of the ICADL series. ICADL has been recognized as an important event for the digital library communities not only in Asia but also globally. the primary mission of ICADL, like the Joint conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) and European conference on Digital Libraries (ECDL), is to serve as a forum for exchange of new advanced te- nologies and ideas among researchers and practitioners. In addition, ICADL as a conference based in Asia is an important event not only for people in dev- oped countries but also in developing countries where there is large diversity in culture, language and development. ICADL ***- sion was reviewed by at least three reviewers. the Program Committee selected 46 full papers and 14 short papers based on the quality and contribution to digital library research. ICADL as well as JCDL and ECDL cover a wide range of information technologies for digital libraries as well as the human and social aspects of digital libraries. the topics of the papers in the proceedings include information extraction, information retrieval, metadata, architectures for di- tal libraries and archives, ontologies, information seeking, cultural heritage and e-learning.
