In order to solve the problems of low radiation power of microstrip antenna and difficult integration of metal waveguide, substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure with the advantages of both microstrip and waveguide has attracted wide attention. Based on HFSS, an 8-element constant amplitude in-phase standing wave linear array operating at Ku-band with the center frequency of 18GHz is designed by using the side-feed mode. then the 8×8 slot array antenna is designed by the wide side longitudinal slit of the SIW. the simulation results show that the gain of the array is 20.9dBi, the return loss is very small, the VSWR is less than 2 in 17.09~18.19GHz and 19.66~22 GHZ bands, and the relative bandwidth is about 59%.-10dB bandwidth is 17.18GHz-18.14GHz(16.6%). the resonant frequency of the input reflection coefficient is 18GHz, which is less than -20dB, and the antenna efficiency is high. the simulation results are good, which verifies the feasibility of the design. the designed antenna has high gain, strong directionality, easy integration and good impedance matching, which has a broad application prospect in microwave and millimeter wave systems. © 2023 IEEE.

this study presents a distinctive design of a transparent glass substrate antenna specifically tailored for high-performance 5G wireless systems. the antenna exhibits lightweight and compact characteristics, along with a wide frequency bandwidth in the millimeter-wave band. through simulations using the CST software, the antenna demonstrates a gain of 2.11 dBi, operates at a designed frequency of 2.4 GHz, and maintains an antenna feed impedance of 50 ohms. the transparent nature of the antenna offers significant advantages for 5G systems, particularly in the realm of mobile devices where small and efficient antennas are paramount. Furthermore, its transparency enables seamless integration into various technologies such as virtual and augmented reality systems, as well as the Internet of things. Comparative analysis with related work indicates that the transparent glass substrate antenna surpasses existing designs in terms of compactness and frequency bandwidth. this study provides valuable insights into the potential of transparent antennas within 5G systems and lays the foundation for further research. the findings highlight the exciting prospects of this technology in advancing 5G networks, offering a compelling solution with its compact form, wide bandwidth, and seamless integration capabilities. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper outlines the design, simulation, and testing of a continuous mode inverse class-F (CMICF) power amplifier (PA) specifically optimized for GSM applications. the comprehensive design methodology encompasses DC analysis, optimum load impedance calculation, stability circuit analysis, and input and output matching circuit design. the amplifier is built using Gallium Nitride (GaN) High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT), and it introduces a novel technique for designing the output matching network (OMN). this technique involves extracting parasitic elements from the power device using a tuning method and employs a graphical approach with the Smith chart utility to obtain the second and third harmonics of the output signal. the resulting design achieves high efficiency with a reduced component count, simplifying the overall design process and reducing costs. the design work was facilitated using Keysight ADS software. Operating in the frequency range of 1.5 GHz to 2 GHz, the amplifier demonstrates a maximum output power of approximately 40 dBm and a power gain of 16 dB, with a power-added efficiency exceeding 70%. © 2023 IEEE.

this study was conducted with the aim of detecting hate speech in song lyrics. the background of this study stems from the numerous negative impacts caused by hate speech. We focus on detecting hate speech in song lyrics because music is a popular form of art that can have significant impacts on people's lives. there have been many previous studies that attempted hate speech detection using various methods. However, one issue still persists, especially when dealing with slang or uncommon sentence structures. According to the previous works, deep learning algorithms, such as using pre-trained BERT model for sentiment analysis and R-CNN as a classifier, have shown promise in addressing these issues. Hence, we decided to utilize the BERT pre-trained model for sentiment analysis and R-CNN as the classifier in their study. the dataset used in this research was collected from the Twitter dataset on Kaggle and also utilized the Spotify API. the study resulted in an precision score of 100% a recall score of 37% and an F1-score of 54% for the hate speech detection. Our result suggests that more relevant data, such as datasets consisting of poetry or sentences with implicit meanings, will be beneficial to enhance hate speech detection in song lyrics. © 2023 IEEE.

Classifying bone marrow images into different categories is challenging because there are problems like uneven class distribution, large differences within the same class, and the need for clear and accurate diagnostic models. these challenges make it hard to create reliable automated systems for clinical diagnosis. To find different blood diseases, it's important to correctly identify images of bone marrow. there are several challenges in multi-class classification, like needing clear and correct results, a lot of difference in shape among the classes, and imbalanced classes. this work looks at using a modern convolutional neural network called EfficientNetB5 to help classify bone marrow images. Our method gets 96% accuracy by using special loss functions, new ways to improve data, and easy-to-understand tools. the results show that EfficientNetB5 can make diagnoses more reliable and accurate in medical settings. We used special loss functions to fix class imbalance, advanced data enhancement methods to make our dataset more varied, and explainable techniques to ensure our model's predictions are clear and reliable, in order to address these challenges. By using EfficientNetB5's strong design, our approach gets an impressive 96% accuracy in classification, which is a big improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

To meet the needs of teaching and practical applications in machine vision technology, a virtual reality-based machine vision experimental platform has been designed and developed. Unity3D was utilized as the development engine, and image processing technology was integrated to achieve the construction of virtual production line scenes, simulation of vision component parameter adjustments, and image acquisition. the platform features a graphical programming interface for visualizing image processing algorithms, which can be used to perform visual debugging of vision stations with a virtual robot system driven by software PLC. this machine vision experimental platform ensures the consistency between simulation and actual engineering processes, and enables students to explore different vision schemes on an industrial production line, thereby avoiding constraints on location, time, and equipment in related experiments. © 2023 IEEE.

Geometric range query is an essential operation in many applications, including location-based service, querying on sensor networks, and computational geometry. In the Internet of Vehicles (IoVs) environment, the range query operations allow for retrieving vehicles or events within a specific spatial range, enabling applications such as traffic monitoring, incident detection, and task outsourcing. However, with the issues of latency, location and query range privacy, and geometric query range limits, the application of range query in IoVs still faces a number of serious challenges to its prosperity. In this paper, we design arbitrary hollow polygon preprocessing and points in polygon judgment strategies that support arbitrary hollow polygon range query. Furthermore, by integrating fog computing into IoVs, the low latency of the overall process is met. Finally, the theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed scheme is secure and efficient. © 2023 IEEE.

As digitization in healthcare progresses, e-health technologies are becoming increasingly important and can complement traditional healthcare services. While e-health services are well accepted and used by younger people, usage barriers exist for people with disabilities and the elderly. Participatory Technology design (PD) may be a promising approach to address these usage barriers, involving users in the development process to increase user acceptance and prevent potential reactance effects. Chess, one of the world's oldest board games, has been shown to promote cognitive abilities in a similar way to computer-based training and increase the quality of life of elderly people. this study investigates the effect of a six-week blended care chess training course on elderly people in four retirement homes. the results show a tendentially significant increase in quality of life, indicating that blended care chess training of elderly people can lead to an increased quality of life. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the integration of advancing healthcare technologies within complex legacy systems contributes to conditions for suboptimal design.
