In view of the 'difficult' situation of trash front-end classification, this paper proposes a novel intelligent classification trash bin based on Internet of things (IoT) technology. this trash bin uses both STM32C8T6 control module and K210 vision module to control the operation of the whole equipment. Firstly, the image of the trash bin is collected by the OV5642 camera. Secondly, the function of trash detection and classification can be realized by the K210 vision module. Finally, the recognition results are transmitted to the STM32C8T6 control module through the UART serial port in the form of data, which controls the motor module, ultrasonic module and buzzer module to achieve trash classification, compression crushing and other functions. the experimental results show that the average accuracy of trash recognition is more than 87%. Compared withthe traditional smart trash bin, the hardware of our design is added with recyclable trash compression and kitchen waste crushing structure, and the software of our design is added with LCD display interface for providing a more reliable, efficient and low-cost solution for trash classification.

the aims of this research are as follows: 1) to investigate the food culture of the Lanna people and Lanna local foods;2) to design digital illustrations of Lanna local foods for application to use in creative works;3) to evaluate the efficiency of utilizing digital illustrations of Lanna local foods in creative works. the research methodology was performed by studying the information in documented information and field data relating to the food culture and the existence of Lanna local foods. Furthermore, the research methodology consisted of analyzing artistic styles, design, and evaluating the efficiency of ready-made illustrations of Lanna local foods. the evaluation was conducted by 3 experts in graphic design and digital illustrations, along withthe participation of 50 individuals, including students from the Graphic design Program and graphic designers in Chiang Rai Province. the findings indicated that the Lanna local food designs could be categorized into 17 types: 1) curry (Kaeng), 2) roasted foods (Kao), 3) simmered foods (Khio), 4) sour soup (JOR), 5) Omelet (Jeaw), 6) pounded/mixed foods (Tam/Yam), 7) chili pastes (Nam prik), 8) steamed foods (Neung), 9) grilled/fried foods (yaang/Tod), 10) curry with squeezed crab juice or curry with local vegetables and herbs (Mob), 11) uncooked food (Larb/Lu), 12) mix vegetable or raw meat spicey salad (SAR), 13) fermented foods (mak/dong), 14) mixed foods, pickled foods, wrapping food in banana leaves and cooking in a pot or pan (Ok), 15) meat simmered on low heat (Uk/Hum), 16) wrapping food in banana leaves and grilling (Ab), and 17) dessert/snacks, totaling 127 menus. the researcher and experts studied and analyzed the features, and then designed illustrations. the results were web-based publications, digital media, calendar design, public relations media, souvenir products, and a picture book showcasing Lanna foods. Regarding the evaluation results on the efficiency of the use of ready-made illustrations of Lanna

Virtual Reality (VR) applications have been progressively adopted in design industry and education, and are often associated with increased engagement, creativity, and spatial awareness skills. this study investigates the development and use of a bespoke VR application in textiles and fashion design education, designed to support the teaching and learning of repeat pattern design principles and techniques, transposing the limitations of traditional monitor displays and image editor software. Aiming at identifying potential benefits for students and educators, we have surveyed and observed students who explored the application to visualize their design outputs, applying their pattern designs onto realsize virtual objects and environments. Our findings suggests that VR tools have a positive effect in both learning and design process, allowing students to identify design shortcomings and technical issues, as well as fostering self-evaluation and reflection on their work. Moreover, although findings on spatial awareness are inconclusive, they indicate that the use of the VR application to estimate final dimensions of repeat patterns allows students to identify and correct patterns that have been inaccurately designed.
