Microscopic medical image segmentation is essential for detailed cellular-level analysis in computational pathology, offering insights into disease mechanisms. However, this task is particularly challenging due to the high similarity between different cellular classes and variability within each class, especially in densely packed or overlapping cell regions. To this end, we present LEECAU-Net (Latent Entropy-quantized and Efficient Channel Attention-aided U-Net), a U-Net-based model designed to improve segmentation accuracy through a dual-attention mechanism. Built on an Inceptionv4 backbone, LEECAU-Net's encoder integrates Latent Entropy-quantized Channel Attention (LECA) and Efficient Channel Attention (ECA) modules. the ECA module enhances the network's ability to focus on essential channel dependencies, while LECA leverages entropy quantification to prioritize channels rich in information, leading to better differentiation between similar structures. We have tested LEECAU-Net on three challenging publicly available datasets: Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), Multi-organ Nuclei Segmentation (MoNuSeg), and Cervical Nucleus Segmentation (CNS). Across these datasets, our model achieves higher performance metrics than numerous state-of-the-art approaches reported in the literature. the improved results underscore the effectiveness of LEECAU-Net's architecture in handling the complexity of microscopic medical images, making it a valuable tool for advancing automated cellular analysis in biomedical research. the source code and more results are made available at https://***/Cmatermedicalimageanalysis/LEECAU-Net. © 2024 IEEE.

Renewable energy development aims to meet the world's energy needs while replacing fossil fuels and moving to more renewable energy sources (RES). However, several different RES are tied together, taking into account the local load, and connected to add more energy to the current grid. Sadly, it requires a considerable amount of land. Yet the effects of climate change and the expanding global population both put food security in danger and the contest for scarce land resources has increased. In this regard, it has been claimed that agro-photovoltaic systems, which combine photovoltaics with plant growth, present a chance for the synergistic integration of renewable energy and food production. In this study, a methodology is shown where a grid-connected APV system is combined with other sustainable generation such as wind turbines (WT) and biomass generators. the Perturbation and Observation (P&O) based MPPT controller is implemented to harness the maximum power from APV. An energy management system is employed to use the stored energy in the battery and store the renewable energy generated by APV. To simulate the performance and effectiveness of grid -connected - RES-energy storage, a thorough study has been conducted. WT and BM connected to the existing power grid can generate an avg. of 3508 kW/day. and the APV system can produce avg of 50 kWh/day. the simulation results demonstrated that the suggested strategy works since the controller may use the most power feasible in both steady-state and diverse weather conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to improve the accuracy of online teaching data classification results and provide comprehensive technical guidance and help for the standardized implementation of quality education, the machine learning model was introduced to carry out the design and research of online teaching data classification methods, taking the apron control specialty of a university as an example. Collect the basic information of college students majoring in apron control, the information generated in the teaching process, and the phased achievements of professional online teaching, build the online teaching database of college students majoring in apron control, and preprocess the data according to the specifications;the machine learning model is innovatively introduced to visually process the data. the encoding tool is used to transform the data format, so as to achieve the extraction of data characteristics;Calculate the similarity of the online teaching data characteristics of the apron control specialty in colleges and universities, set the classification criteria for the online teaching data of the apron control specialty in colleges and universities, and when the data similarity exceeds the set criteria, divide the data into the same category to complete the design of the classification method. the experimental results show that the designed classification method has a good application effect, and this method can effectively improve the accuracy of the classification results. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Wind turbines are extremely vulnerable to direct and indirect lightning strikes due to their height and installation locations. therefore, it is worthy to investigate the performance of wind farms against such a phenomenon. To evaluate detailed transient behavior of a wind farm caused by lightning, it requires that all of its components are modeled. Grounding system is one of the most important components of a power system which should be modeled in transient states. In this paper, both nonlinear behavior of soil ionization and frequency dependent parameters are simultaneously included in grounding system. Also, high frequency models of other equipment such as wind turbine, transformers, down conductor, tower, horizontal conductor, vertical rods, surge arresters, and underground cable have been considered and carried out using EMTP-RV software for computation of transient ground potential rise and transient over voltages. Furthermore, two wind turbines connected to each other through the frequency-dependent cable are studied in two cases of direct and indirect lightning strikes, 200 KA and 10/350μ s, for the worst case scenario. the results show that modification of grounding system configuration and soil parameters can considerably improve the maximum transient over voltages. In addition, the obtained results and procedures can be useful to design the lightning protection system in power network and to mitigate undesirable induced over voltages on electrical and sensitive electronic devices. the proposed procedure is validated to compare the calculated results with the presented results and simulations found in literature which show good agreement. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper describes a method to tailor computational design algorithms to evaluate human-centric outputs in architectural projects by presenting a case study that evaluates teamwork affordance for primary care clinics. We argue that computational design assessment techniques fall short of evaluating those human experiences that stem from multiple interactions between individuals and the surrounding environment. this research suggests that future computational design algorithms could benefit from incorporating scenario-based methods developed in the field of evidence-based design, in which studies are concerned about improving qualitative goals. through this case study, we describe the process of prototyping a computational design algorithm based on the Functional Scenario Analysis approach, applying the algorithm to evaluate case studies, visualizing findings, and extracting design strategies based on the analysis results. this method offers a new vision of how computational design can benefit informed decision-making processes and generate design alternatives aligned with a project's design goals.

Key Chain is a project schedule control method proposed by Dr. Goldratt based on constraint theory. It optimizes the project duration by comprehensively considering the relationship between process logic and resource constraints, sets buffer zones to overcome the impact of uncertainties on the project, and monitors the buffer zone to control the project progress in real time, so as to achieve scientific and effective control of project progress. this paper studies the practice of key chains in ship development schedule control, analyzes the problems existing in the current ship development schedule control, and proposes a buffer zone calculation and monitoring method based on risk factors based on ship development characteristics. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper presents the modern design and simulation of a broadband Class-J power amplifier (CJPA) tailored for enhancing military radar systems, especially those operating in the critical L-band spectrum. Motivated by the need for improved radar performance, our research aims to achieve higher efficiency and power output through the meticulous application of load pull and source pull techniques in the input and output matching circuit design to obtain the input and output impedance for active device at maximum power to match them with 50 Ω by design matching circuits using Smith chat utility. this study utilizes the GaN HEMT CGH40025F and focuses on designing and simulating a CJPA operating in the 1.6 to 2 GHz frequency range for the L-band. the test results demonstrate that the CJPA outputs around 40 dBm when the input power is 24 dBm, with a notable power added efficiency (PAE) of 63% and a transducer gain of 16 dB within the band. the simulation and testing were conducted using the Keysight ADS software. the significance of these findings lies in the enhanced capabilities they bring to military radar systems, with the potential for improved target detection, tracking, and overall system performance. Moreover, the optimized CJPA design may find applications beyond military settings, contributing to advancements in RF amplifier technology for diverse communication and sensing systems. © 2023 IEEE.

this research focuses on the primary aspects that influence the usage of renewable energy sources in microgrids. these aspects include energy demand, the amount of solar irradiation, and the capacity of the batteries. In addition to this, it exemplifies the relevance of these factors and the dynamic relationship between them in the operation of microgrid systems. A number of factors must be considered during the design and implementation of micro grids, as this study shows that renewable energy sources have a major impact on them. the paper highlights the benefits of microgrids, which include lower energy costs, increased energy autonomy, and fewer emissions of greenhouse gases. the findings of this research have the potential to make a contribution toward the overall goal of constructing a resilient and flexible energy infrastructure. this might be accomplished with the help of the findings of this study. this may be done by optimizing the construction of micro grids that display higher performance and effectiveness in capturing renewable energy resources using the insights gathered from the inquiry. these micro grids would be optimized to use the information gained from the investigation. © 2024 IEEE.
