this paper presents an experimental performative design workflow for masonry structures, incorporating augmented reality (AR) technology and real-time stability simulation. We aim to resolve the lack of structural stability simulation in currently existing immersive design workflows. Our workflow consists of two phases: a) an AR design phase, in which interactive inputs, such as gestures, screen-based inputs, or marker recognitions, are translated to a design algorithm for the masonry structure generation and preview as holograms;b) an AR-assisted structural stability simulation phase, in which the designed structure is simulated on its structural performance attributes (without mortar or other adhesives) and shown as an AR holographic result animation on-site with the structurally optimised feedback. Our research findings highlight the advantages of the proposed workflow, which allows users modification suggestions and design implementation control for the assembly of structurally stable masonry structures, as well as the challenges arising regarding design diversity. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

this paper presents a novel approach for identifying individual pigs and monitoring the movement of individual pigs using computer vision, designed explicitly for non-intrusive and real-time tracking in farm environments. Identifying individual pigs is the first step taken to track their movement. Accurately identifying individual pigs enables real-time monitoring of the pigs in order to get essential parameters such as their movement. Monitoring the movement of individual pigs is very important as it allows farmers to track their health. Pig movements such as walking, rolling, and laying down give the farmer a clear indication of how healthy each pig is. In this study, the focus is on tracking the movement of individual pigs when they move in the pen. Leveraging a Raspberry Pi 4 equipped with a Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3, the system integrates multiple deep learning models, including YOLOv8n, MobileNetSSD, and EfficientNet-B0, to achieve high-accuracy breed identification and motion detection. Among these, YOLOv8n emerged as the most effective, reaching 97-98% accuracy. the project involves a centroid-based tracking algorithm that measures movement by calculating Euclidean distances between centroids across frames. the data gathered on the individual pig movements in meters is analysed and visualised through time series graphs, providing valuable insights into the motion of individual pigs. this paper discusses the system's design, implementation, and performance, highlighting its potential applications in precision livestock farming. © 2024 IEEE.

It is known from the literature that the load-depth curve obtained by nanoindentation cannot uniquely determine the plastic flow stress behaviour of the material. In this study, the sink-in/pile-up of nanoindentation is another important information for predicting the elastic-plastic behaviour of thin film. therefore, by comparing load/depth behaviour and sink-in/pileup from nanoindentation with finite element analysis, the bilinear flow stress of the coating can be determined. Commercial TiN coatings are currently used as an example for this study. the bilinear flow stress of TiN can be determined by this method: the elastic modulus of 343.007 GPa, the yield stress of 10.458 GPa and the tangent modulus of 214.080 GPa. In addition, the stress of loading and unloading during the nanoindentation of the thin film was also investigated. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Identifying grape plant disease is very important to keep the vineyard healthy and make sure we can grow good grapes. this study looks into using deep learning models like VGG16, VGG19 and ResNet to automatically find out problems in grapevine health. the models were trained on a wide set of 9027 images from Kaggle. these pictures showed different types of disease, including powdery mildew and downy mildew among others. We used a learning rate of 0.01 to help the model come together during training faster. the results show that all three models work very well in finding grapevine diseases. VGG19 was the best one, reaching a correct rate of 98.39% at stage number 24. this better performance comes from its more complex design, allowing it to catch complicated disease parts. VGG16 also did very well, reaching 93.46% correctness, while ResNet had a strong accuracy of 89.33%. the results show that using machine learning deep models can help find grapevine diseases easily. this gives farmers a good tool to manage their vineyards well in advance. the side-by-side look shows the special good points of each design. this study helps to mix artificial intelligence with grape farming. It gives tips that could be helpful in choosing how to handle diseases better. Later research may look at easier ways to understand models, how well they work in different areas where vines grow, and if they can be used for more things. this is important for the grape and wine industry. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, neurodiversity has gained popularity among those proponents of people's inclusion, dignity, and rights. Demonstrations and images help them learn more effectively. Give written instructions, visual clues, and brief spoken instructions when feasible. Furthermore, the researchers included seventeen student populations, eleven officers and staff, and twelve lecturer populations. For two days in a row, they attended the interactive quotation display by neurodivergent artists, and in response, they contributed drawings that reflected their interpretations of the quotes. An interview served as the second method of gathering data. the researchers also conducted a structured interview with four students, four officers, and three lecturers acting as spokespeople. Quotes from the works of Neurodivergent Artists such as Nintendo, Love, Amsterdam, Suzanne, Kacamata (Glasses), Teman (Friends), Mudik (Homecoming), Menjahit (Sewing), and Iggle can be found in the Interactive Installation activity. Using a mixed-methods approach, the researchers collected and examined the data (Creswell, 2014). It is an approach that blends qualitative and quantitative research techniques. According to the findings, the Amsterdam quote is liked by lecturers, staff, and students alike. In addition, the Love quote sparks curiosity in both students and instructors, indicating a mutual admiration for its meaning. © 2024 IEEE.

Keyword-based mobile screen search does not account for screen content and fails to operate as a universal tool for all levels of users. Visual searching (e.g., image, sketch) is structured and easy to adopt. Current visual search approaches count on a complete screen and are therefore slow and tedious. PSDoodle employs a deep neural network to recognize partial screen element drawings instantly on a digital drawing interface and shows results in real-time. PSDoodle is the first tool that utilizes partial sketches and searches for screens in an interactive iterative way. In this thesis, the effect of research on the classification Method of Broken Cultural for the fragments in which of Plained Pottery on Majiayao culture (PPMC) on Shannashuzha of Minxian in Gansu Province and Plain Pottery on Qijia Culture (PPQC) on qijiaping village of Guanghe county were modeled and analyzed by SVM, GA-BPN and GNN. the inputter layer are position and characteristics for the fragments of PPMC and PPQC while the outer layer is property. the results show that the optimal network architecture is considered to be 8-9-1 with momentum factor 0.8 by SVM, which the Accuracy-Avg is 56% and the time is *** optimal network architecture was considered to be 8-10-1, and the optimum values of momentum factor is 0.8 and which the Accuracy-Avg is 67% and the time is 145s by GA-BPN. the iteration on initial population of Genetic Algorithm for BPN was chosen to be 100. the iteration of crossover was set to be 0.8, meanwhile the the iteration of mutation is 0.08, respectively. the optimal network architecture is considered to be by GNN, which the Accuracy-Avg is 91% and the time is *** model can also be used as a guide to evaluate and predict the effect of research on the classification Method of Broken Cultural on the fragments of PPMC and PPQC were modeled and analyzed by GNN for the historical and cultural resources in Gansu Province. © 2023 IEEE.

the Industry 4.0 paradigm requires not only equipping the shop floor and the workforce with new digital tools, but also ensuring that digital technologies are well accepted and adopted by workers. this is achieved through the active involvement of those who will be affected by these new digital technologies. However, the involvement of end-users and workers in the design process is often confined to test fully developed solutions. Rarely are the workers fully involved in the design process, from preliminary research to the co-design of the proposed technologies. As such, and in order to involve workers on the design of a digital companion for shop floor operators, we applied a Participatory design approach, with mixed-methods, consisting of fieldwork observations, interviews, and exploratory workshops with workers and other relevant stakeholders in order to understand their needs and desires in the context of Industry 4.0. these activities were conducted remotely and in situ, and aimed to identify issues concerning the worker, the workplace, and concerns regarding their physical and mental well-being. In this paper, we describe the process of designing the worker companion-the methods, main insights from the user research activities, and an initial prototype.

Cardiovascular disease continue to pose a major threat to the lives and health of humans across the world. How to achieve portable and high-precision detection has become a research hotspot in preventing cardiovascular diseases. To address the issue of high overhead and difficulty in reconfigurable in high-precision artificial intelligence (AI) detection. this paper proposes a reconfigurable low-overhead arrhythmia detection system on chip (SoC) solution based on cyclic convolutional neural networks (CNN). the solution first involves researching the algorithms and structures of convolutional neural networks. this solution first studies the algorithms and structures of convolutional neural networks. Using cyclic CNN to classify arrhythmia, and reusing convolution and pooling modules to reduce hardware overhead. then, by flexibly configuring the hyperparameter registers within the cyclic CNN-IP core, combined with the RISC-V instruction programming CPU method, achieved the reconfigurable CNN on SoC. Finally, in the digital backend clock gating and multi-threshold voltage techniques are adopted to reduce chip power consumption by 64.3%. In this paper, under the TSMC 65nm process the chip layout design is completed. With a supply voltage of 1V and an operating frequency of 100MHz, the classification accuracy for arrhythmias in the MIT-BIH dataset reaches 97.07%, with a chip area of 3.68 mm2 and a power consumption of 2.86 mW. © 2024 IEEE.
