Sperm analysis has a central role in diagnosing and treating infertility. Traditionally, assessment of sperm health was performed by an expert by viewing the sample through a microscope. In order to simplify this task and assist the expert, CASA (computer-Assisted Sperm Analysis) systems were developed. these systems rely on low-level computer vision tasks such as classification, detection and tracking to analyze sperm health and motility. these tasks have been widely addressed in the literature, with some supervised approaches surpassing the human capacity to solve them. However, the accuracy of these models have not been directly translated into CASA systems. this is mainly due to the absence of labelled data, as well as the difficulty in obtaining it. In this work we propose the generation of synthetic semen samples to tackle the absence of labelled data. We propose a parametric modelling of spermatozoa, and show how models trained on synthetic data can be used on real images with no need of further fine-tuning stage.

It has become increasingly apparent today that physical key door locks are susceptible to damage and can be compromised by unauthorized individuals. the inherent vulnerability of physical key door locks stems from their susceptibility to misplaced keys and duplication, as individuals are required to always carry them. this work presents a novel Internet of things (IoT) enabled smart door access system designed to improve the security of homes or premises. the system offers keyless access to individuals who have been granted authorization. the system's architectural design incorporates the utilization of a NodeMCU ESP 8266 microcontroller to oversee door operations. Access control functionality is facilitated through the implementation of the Virtuino IoT application, which enables the unlocking of doors using smartphones. Additionally, a MQTT broker, specifically the HiveMQ, is implemented to facilitate effective machine-to-machine communication within the IoT components. the rationale behind the adoption of this IoT-based solution stems from the inherent weaknesses of traditional physical key door locks, which are prone to damage and replication, consequently jeopardizing security measures. the proposed system aims to address these limitations by rendering traditional keys obsolete, thereby improving both security and convenience for users. the system has undergone comprehensive development, testing, and operationalization, resulting in a highly functional system. the success rate of all functions has consistently achieved a 100% level, which serves as an indication of the system's robustness and effectiveness. Flying Ad-hoc network (FANETs), a new kind of mobile AD hoc network, uses the aircraft as the air wireless communication node to construct a network and achieve effective communication at the network layer as a result of the ongoing expansion of communication networks into many industries. However, the high dynamics, limited node energy, and low network density of the FANETs present significant challenges to the FANETs routing protocol, which requires urgent attention in terms of its design. In order to address the issues associated withthe routing metric of the FANETs routing protocol, such as the underutilization of link information and the inadequate consideration of the motion of UAVs, which result in high network packet loss rates, unstable routing, and long route reconvergence times, this paper proposes the Predictable Track-based Routing Protocol (PTP). PTP divides the routing protocol into three stages: route establishment, data transmission, and route maintenance. PTP creatively suggests Node Stability Factors (NSF) for UAV in the route establishment stage and develops a Q-learning algorithm to maintain it in accordance withthe status of the nodes and nearby nodes. NSF combined the link quality calculated by HELLO messages to generate a link quality based on Q-learning(LQQ) metric. After that, the optimal path from the source node to the destination node is calculated based on this metric. In the data transfer phase, data is transmitted through the routes calculated in the route establishment phase. Create a new HELLO message during the routing maintenance phase to learn the location of the neighbor node and the two-hop neighbor node, predict the node's future location using the Kalman filter algorithm based on the node's past location, and react quickly when the link is about to change. As more human needs are addressed with technology, designing positive user experiences becomes increasingly important in developing effective health interventions. designing successful user experiences for digital health interventions requires a deep understanding of patient challenges. In this paper, we attempted to identify challenges that diabetic patients face adhering to guideline-recommended care through persona development. Previous user experience research suggests that such an approach can be particularly beneficial in designing digital health interventions. We explain how we developed data personas from Electronic Health Records (EHR) and combined them with proto personas that were generated by a group of medical experts for the same patient population. Our results support previous research that suggests combining data and proto personas is beneficial for intervention design. Additionally, our results reveal that combining data and proto personas is likely to improve intervention design by addressing fairness issues that may result from the underrepresentation of certain populations in EHR datasets.
