the paper deals with researching the advantages of anthropometric measurements using a 3D body scanner. the working principle of the VITUS Smart laser 3D scanner is described, on which measurements were made for the purposes of this research according to ISO 20685–1:2018 standards. Anthropometric measurements obtained by applying this measurement are more accurate, precise and repeatable. the paper selected the anthropometric measures that are used in the ergonomic design of the workplace for the computer, and highlighted the advantages but also the disadvantages of measuring with a 3D scanner. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

We present the methodology employed for the study of an architectural type within the Lisbon Metropolitan Area spanning over eight hundred years with two chief epochs of exponential growth and commonly referred today as the gated community. Covering the use of remote sensing, georeferencing, data scraping, contemporary census, early modern period population counts, spatial disaggregation, spatial analytics, network analysis and new network-based socio-urban measures, the methodology offers a single semi-automated design for the reproducible urban analysis of a metropolitan area, culminating with the production of eight urban models covering periods from the late XVI to the early XXI centuries. Evaluation carried out on the models through statistical analysis and probabilistic unsupervised learning methods shows the resurgence of morphological and socio-urban patterns separated in time by centuries of urban development. © 2023, the Author(s).

computer-aided detection and segmentation of polyps present inside colon are quite challenging due to the large variations of polyps in features like shape, texture, size, and color, and the presence of various polyp-like structures during colonoscopy. In this paper, we apply a mask region-based convolutional neural network (Mask R-CNN) approach for the detection and segmentation of polyps in the images obtained from colonoscopy videos. We propose an efficient method to reduce the false positives in the computer-aided detection system. To achieve this, we rigorously train our model by selecting non-polyp regions in the image which have high probability of getting detected as a polyp. Using two colonoscopic frame datasets, we demonstrate the experimental results that show the significant reduction in the number of false positives by adding selected regions in our computer-aided polyp segmentation system. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Data package purchase transactions with telecommunications operators are one of the company's revenue generators. Purchasing operator packages can be done either through applications, e-commerce or distributors and outlets, where customers get a lot of exposure to telecommunications package offers. Telecommunications operators have the problem of how to be able to provide more appropriate offers to customers by determining which products are suitable to be offered on their channels. the purpose of this research is to analyze the purchase transaction data of operator data packages and use data mining to find patterns of package purchases that can be used to increase purchase transactions. this research is limited to processing transaction data and modeling with the results of the modeling algorithm which will be limited to product recommendations that are suitable for customers by taking the product package variations offered. the data mining method used uses Market Basket Analysis with the Apriori algorithm which produces predictions of package combinations that will be purchased by customers by utilizing a sample customer purchase transaction history data in March 2023. the model produces 19 product combinations to be offered to customers with the main product being a data package small quota of 500 MegaBytes combined with telephone package. the Main Combination that is formed shows customer behavior consisting of: a combination of small quota data packages with large quota telephone packages, combination of large quota data packages with small quota telephone packages, and digital packages combined with small quota data packages. Evaluation is carried out using support parameter limits >= 1%, confidence value >= 1% and lift ratio >= 1 of the achievement of the algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

the dancing robot system based on sound control and 3D gesture interaction breaks the conventional remote control mode, the robot can follow the melody and rhythm of the music to make dance movements at any time and make real-time effective feature extraction of the music features. During the direction of the robot, the system realizes the self-following of the dancing robot based on 3D gesture sensing through the PAJ7260U2 sensing module to learn the coordinated control of each degree of freedom of the robot, which significantly improves the flexibility and fun of the dancing robot. the experimental results ofthis system’s robot dance movement prove the system design’s correctness and feasibility, which is of great significance for the simulation research of the robot. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Using machine learning to recognize images of fruits or plants is a very practical and focused application. When using machine learning principles to classify specific fruit varieties, as opposed to traditional approaches, a higher level of accuracy is promised but also requiring more training data. Particularly in situations where different cultivars of the same fruit family are valued differently, the capacity to recognize and classify diverse cultivars of a fruit family is crucial. the objective of this study is to develop a practical method for classifying the many cultivars of Durio zibethinus, also known as Durian, based on the visual traits of the crop using Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) to improve the accuracy and speed of cultivar recognition. Utilizing a database of images with tagged Durian cultivars. Images from two high-value classes of Durian cultivars are utilized to train the neural network. the first phases in the research project involve pre-processing and converting the images using Canny, Laplacian, Sobel on X-axis, and image binarization. Next up are model training, model validation, and network architecture development. Finally, they were combined as an ensemble machine learning method using majority voting to examine the potential for enhancing prediction performance. Laplacian edge detection was found to yield the best results of the four studied approaches, while ensemble methods gave more accurate results than a single method. © 2023 IEEE.

With the advent of Industry 4.0, 5G and Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) are emerging as wireless deterministic communication network to provide solid QoS guarantee for industrial automation services. For 5G-TSN collaboration system, two important gateways are introduced in both network and end device side to support TSN protocols, named as Network-side TSN Translator (NW-TT) and Device-side TSN Translator (DS-TT) respectively. However, 5G and TSN are totally different in terms of resource type, scheduling methodology and management protocols, in order to provide latency guarantee for time-triggered flows across 5G and TSN, as well as to make two different scheduling of 5G and TSN coordinately, a 5G-TSN joint scheduling mechanism based on enhanced Maximum Latency Weighted Delay First (eMLWDF) is proposed and analyzed in this paper. the proposed mechanism designs an adaptive factor in scheduling procedure to make well balance between achieving low latency in 5G and avoiding buffer overflow in DS-TT. Furthermore, some packet will arrival at the priority queue in DS-TT later than the period of "ON"for that queue due to fluctuations of radio channel, to avoid this situation, a frame preemption scheme is adopted to provide latency guarantee. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism can satisfy the latency requirements of time-triggered flows as well as reduce data buffer volumes in DS-TT, aiming to provide deterministic communication guarantee for data transmission across 5G and TSN. © 2023 IEEE.

Research on the effects of virtual reality modeling in architectural spaces and the application of computer algorithms is a complex and flexible field that integrates virtual reality technology, three-dimensional modeling, computer graphics and algorithms. this study will conduct computer drawing and realistic simulation technology after practical measurements of real monuments, so as to help redesign the monuments using computer simulation during restoration. this research can achieve high-precision architectural space models and virtual reality living experiences. these technologies can be used to create accurate 3D models of architectural spaces, including indoor and outdoor spaces. At the same time, high-quality rendering algorithms can be used to achieve virtual light and shadow effects, making the virtual space closer to reality. Researchers can develop virtual reality interaction technology that enables users to freely navigate and operate in virtual spaces. this algorithm can complete the optimal design of building space, including structural layout, lighting design and air conditioning system optimization. In the future, users will be able to conduct real-time playgrounds and displays through the virtual environment, which will help ensure that the building design meets various technical requirements and environmental standards. the development of these research directions can not only improve the efficiency and accuracy of architectural design in real wisdom and actual design, but also provide a better virtual experience to help construction professionals and users better understand and appreciate architectural spaces.

Modern computer architectures are moving towards domain-specific designs of processors. ARM-based processors domi-nate the embedded domain due to their compact and energy-efficient design. x86 processors have higher computing capabilities but at the cost of high energy consumption. this work tries to improve the Network-on-Chip design of x86 processors to have an energy-efficient Chip Multi-Processor configuration with similar computing power. Network-on-Chip is a significant part of modern computer architecture. It helps to efficiently navigate on-chip traffic on current Chip Multi-Processors where the number of cores is increasing rapidly. the topology of a Network-on-Chip significantly impacts system performance as it directly affects the network bandwidth and the area of the system. therefore, Network-on-Chip topology affects the system's execution time, area, and energy consumption. this work proposes a novel topology to improve performance in terms of energy consumption and execution time, and affects L1D miss rate of the considered specification with few benchmark programs. the proposed topology is inspired from the traditional binary tree topology and tries to overcome its shortcomings to improve the system performance. the experiment results suggest that the proposed topology improves system performance on applications belonging to domains that are suited for embedded class processors. © 2022 IEEE.
