Path-based Analysis (PBA) is a pivotal step in Static Timing Analysis (STA) for reducing slack pessimism and improving quality of results. Optimization flows often invoke PBA repeatedly with different critical path constraints to verify correct timing behavior under certain logic cone. However, PBA is extremely time consuming and state-of-the-art PBA algorithms are hardly scaled beyond a few CPU threads under constrained search space. In order to achieve new performance milestone, in this work, we propose a new GPU-accelerated PBA algorithm which can handle extensive path constraints and quickly report arbitrary number of critical paths in constrained search space. Experimental results show that our algorithm can generated identical path report and achieve up to 102x speed up on a million-gate design compared to the state-of-the-art algorithm.

Advancements in medical imaging have paved the way for image-based computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) systems, revolutionizing the detection of lung abnormalities, including lung nodules and diffuse lung diseases. this paper explores the potential of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in image-based CADx without the reliance on image-feature extraction, presenting a powerful alternative to feature-based CADx methods. Additionally, we introduce an image-based computer-aided detection (CADe) algorithm employing regions with CNN features (R-CNN) for precise identification of lung abnormalities. We conduct comprehensive evaluations of our image-based CADx utilizing CNN and CADe employing R-CNN, demonstrating their effectiveness across various lung abnormalities.

For some precocial bird species, vocal interactions occur pre-hatching between parent and embryo within the egg. Such prenatal sensory experiences may affect development and have long-term consequences on postnatal behavior. Although artificial incubators increase survival rate, they prevent vocal communication, potentially hindering the development of species identity and behaviors. this work introduces a research design predicated on the review of relevant literature, aimed at new applications for animal management. We propose an approach and set of considerations to augment artificial incubators with two-way, low-latency audio streaming to reestablish the vocal communication channel between parent birds and eggs. In the nest, the real egg is replaced by an augmented "dummy" egg, embedded with a microphone and speaker. We present our motivations, followed by an overview of the system and a series of considerations in terms of engineering, design, species-specific and evaluation requirements. Finally we elaborate on different application contexts such as research, farming, and preservation.
