this paper presents a Web portal system that supports visualization of a large number of data sets. On the Web site, users can browse or search for required data sets and select how the data should be visualized Data sets can be retrieved from different locations via multiple protocols including SSH, HTTP, FTP and GridFTP. Visualization tasks can be executed on visualization servers at different locations on demand. Interactive visualization is supported. Visualization results can be stored and retrieved later. the portal is used in a Tsunami warning system where a lot of tsunami cases are simulated in order to identify risk areas along the coast of thailand.

In distributed applicatios such as teleconferences, a group of multiple processes are cooperating, where messages exchanged among the processes are required to be causally delivered. the processes are exchanging kinds of multimedia objects in addition to traditional text data. We present multimedia infrastructure that integrates continuous real-time media streams within the WWW. B2B real-time collaborative applications require participants to exchange real-time audio and video information over a communication network. this flow of information must preserve the causal dependency. We discuss a protocol to causally deliver multimedia objects in a group of multiple processes. We believe that the presented infrastructure will offer new opportunities for Web services.

the widespread adoption of Web services promises to usher in an exciting new generation of advanced distributed applications. Replication of Web documents can improve both performance and reliability of the Web service. Response time is a key differentiation point among electronic commerce (e-commerce) applications. In this paper, we analyze the factors that impact the performance and scalability of a database-driven Web site. We consider the problem of on-line workflow database reorganization. We present an algorithm for maintaining the biconnected components of a graph during a sequence of edge insertions and deletions. We complement our algorithms with encouraging experimental results.

Cloud computing is the fast growing and the dominant field of Information technology (IT) industry. It proposes on demand and cost effective services such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Many security challenges are drawn from these services in cloud environment such as abuse of cloud services, data security, malicious insider and cyber-attacks. Although various access control policies and models such as Mandatory Access Control (MAC) and Role Based Access Control (RBAC) are existing, but these are not suitable for Cloud access control requirements. In this paper, we analyze and identify different important gaps of the conventional access control schemes based on the their demerits and cloud access requirements. We also propose a Combinatorial Batch Codes Based Access Control (CBCBAC) model, which fulfill all the cloud access control requirements. Our approach ensures the secure and efficient sharing of resources among various non-trusted tenants and also has the capacity to support different access permission to the same user for using multiple services securely. We also implement a prototype of our work which depicts the effective access control in the cloud environment.

the computer and the internet have brought human with great capabilities of collaborating across geographically distributed places. Withthe booming of Grid technology and Service-Oriented computing (SOC), it's possible for people to solve problems collaboratively through the large-scale sharing and coordinated use of resources. Learning Assessment Grid (LAGrid) is a service-oriented grid system that addresses the formative assessment problem in e-Learning. One goal of LAGrid is to support the wide-area resource sharing and the cross-organizational collaborative work. A kind of special resource in the LAGrid is human resources. Because of the unbalanced distribution of tutors in different organizations, it's very important for tutors to work collaboratively across the boundaries of organizations transparently. In this paper we propose a global task schedule model to support the cross-organizational collaborative work. the performance of the model is analyzed and compared with a local schedule model. the result shows that the global schedule model is more efficient. the proposed model has been implemented and deployed in the LA Grid.
