Ad hoc network has developed rapidly due to its self-organization and stability, but its openness and mobility brings some problems in security. We present a trusted-computing based distributed virtual security zone (TC-DVSZ) model to ensure the security in Ad hoc network with less computation and bandwidth. In the model, distributed authority (DA) has been introduced into the network to act as a CA in each cluster. To keep the DA trusted and reliable, we propose a trust based DA decision arithmetic. At the same time, we use ECC instead of RSA, and provide two level key agreement scheme, that decreases the cost of computation and increases the adaptability to various nodes with different computation capability. Finally, we prove that TC-DVSZ model is much more suitable for ad hoc network, because the model reduces the requirements for bandwidth, computation capacity, and storage..

this paper describes a Parametric study service (PSS) that enables parameterized simulations on the Grid. Scientific and engineering problems often require the large amount of computing resources to conduct a large-scale simulations with a wide range of input parameters and files, namely parametric study. Conducting Parametric studies on the Grid is a great challenge because it involves the allocation, scheduling and monitoring of jobs over the highly heterogeneous, distributed and failure-prone Grid environments. the system exploits the Grid computingtechnology to establish an integrated web service environment which supports distributed computational simulations and remote executions. the proposed system provides an easy-to-use parametric study service that prevents users from being exposed to the complexity of the underlying Grid. To demonstrate the usefulness of our PSS system, we have carried out thousands of protein folding simulations in the Grid testbed, namely the KMI testbed, which consists of linux clusters distributed across the nation.
distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack poses a severe threat to the internet. It is difficult to find the exact signature of attacking. Moreover, it is hard to distinguish the difference of an unusual high volume...

computing today has entered into the fourth stage of its development. the first was related with appearance of large computers (mainframes), second - with appearance of the personal computers, third - with appearance of the internet which has united users into single informative village by providing joint access to information. With beginning of XXI age a transition to new grid-technology began, when the internet with Web service is changed to the world Grid network which is geographically distributed infrastructure, compels existing in a network computers (thousand of PC, work stations and supercomputers) to work how a sole enormous and mighty computer is, uniting the great number of resources of different types (processors, large memories, data depositories and data bases, networks), access to which users can get from any points, regardless of place of their location. Grid assumes the collective mode of access to the resources and to related to them services of the within the framework globally distributed virtual organizations, that consist of enterprises and separate specialists which jointly use shareable resources.

Withthe growing number and ubiquitous usage of Web services throughout the service-oriented community, the need to find service descriptions in a given repository, as well as composing them to a desired output, becomes a major issue in both research and corporate environments. Considering emerging semantic technologies and methods for service matching that is not limited to a mere syntactic level, the need for fast discovery and composition algorithms arises. In this paper we present a system created at the VitaLab in Vienna withthe purpose to overcome the obstacles which are implications of both, large service repositories and large ontologies to describe semantic relations.

the level of research that e-voting has attracted is a testimony of its importance as a key element in the implementation of e-government. It is argued that the ease with which voting can be performed will increase participation and enhance accountability. this convenience however, generates a set of specific requirements, not least the ability of the underlying distributed system to model the behaviour of manual systems. More specifically, the elimination of direct physical intervention entails a careful management of the implications of virtual participation. the scope of this work concerns the identification and integration of specific mechanisms for addressing issues of security, privacy and accountability. the aim of this paper is to present a case study on the design and implementation of an e-voting prototype system, and to provide a context for the selection and deployment of relevant mechanisms.

Both Peer-To-Peer (P2P) and mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) aim to provide seamless connectivity and services in a dynamic and decentralised environment. these two technologies, if unified, may be able to realise MANETs as a viable commercial technology and will enable the development of widespread distributed applications for MANETs. the push towards wireless ubiquitous computing means that service providers will need to adapt to a highly dynamic mobile topology and given that client-server applications can not be supported in such an environment, P2P applications will be essential. therefore as MANETs are devoid of a stable infrastructure, mechanisms are required to support P2P services such as IP telephony and this paper discusses the integration of such services with hierarchical cluster based techniques.

this paper presents a mobile-agent-based distributed parallel computing middleware (MDPCM) that is used to implement distributed parallel computing by sharing computing resources among internet users. the middleware is divided into two layers with characteristics of the mobile agent technology and it provided basic services for the distributed parallel computing, especially system communication, job migration and fault tolerance mechanism. the main implementation technologies are analyzed and discussed. A prototype system MDPCM-based is implemented and the experiment results are shown.

the growth of the internet and the advances in networking technologies demand for new forms of distributedcomputing, such as large-scale, highly decentralized computing and mobile computing. However, such forms of distributedcomputing require new adaptive and flexible middlewares and frameworks able to exploit logical mobility and to support programmable coordination infrastructures. this paper presents a free, customizable Java-based programming framework for the development of highly dynamic distributed applications based on a computational model that extends an "active object" model by introducing the "mobile active object" concept in order to support a multi paradigm design approach. In particular, mobile active objects are autonomous network-aware entities or mobile agents which coordinate to one another through on-demand installable interaction spaces featured by events.
