the energy supply framework has transformed over the recent time from tradition to a more flexible energy topology. this has resulted in the introduction of using distributed generation technologies to improve the sustainability of energy supply. However, the introduction of distributed generation for grid-integration has technical disadvantages, such as increase in power and voltage losses. In this paper, a technique based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed to determine the optimal location and size of the DGs to be connected into the grid for power loss minimisation and voltage improvement. the technique is tested using the 33 and 69 IEEE test bus system. the results obtained show that the power losses are significantly reduced with an increase in the voltage profile.

DNA (Deoxyribose Nucleid Acid) is a series of nucleotide acid proteins that exist in the organism body where DNA will be identical with inheritance. the sequence alignment mechanism is one of the most important methods in finding a match between DNA sequences. this mechanism is also used in the mechanism for making vaccines, where the process takes a large portion of the time. Parallel and distributed systems exist to solve this problem. One of them is using the Hadoop platform, which is currently being used for processing biological data. the making of the COVID-19 vaccine is one example of the implementation of using a distributed and parallel system model, so that the manufacturing process can be done in a fairly short time. In this study, we used MSA (Multiple Sequence Alignment) where one of the algorithms which has a high accuracy value is T-COFFEE (Tree Based Consistency Objective Function for Alignment Evaluation) algorithm. T-COFFEE is an algorithm for multiple sequences which is very suitable for finding similarities in DNA data by focusing on very high accuracy values. Besides having a high accuracy value, T-COFFEE requires a very long time to process. So this research did implementation of T-COFFEE on hadoop parallelization using Spark which has been proven to reduce the execution time. © 2021 IEEE.

the emergence of technology has dramatically enhanced the flexibility of consumers’ lifestyles, including using Online Food Delivery (OFD) applications. However, optimizing delivery accuracy for a more satisfactory experience is crucial. this study examines and identifies consumers’ behavioral intentions using OFD applications through various factors, such as perceived control and online tracking, food quality, online reviews, and overall satisfaction. the study involved 409 users of online food ordering applications in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia, selected through a purposive sampling method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed via social media and analyzed using the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method. the results indicate that perceived control, online tracking, food quality, and online reviews significantly impact overall satisfaction, positively influencing consumers’ intention to continue using OFD applications. this research provides valuable insights into consumer behavior and satisfaction in online food ordering applications, particularly in evaluating application features, food quality, and online reviews.

Edge computing (EC) is an act of bringing computational and storage capability near data sources. It helps to reduce response times and bandwidth requirements. However, the rapid proliferation of edge devices has expanded the attack surface and opportunity for adversaries to penetrate corporate networks. the limited computational abilities of edge devices and the heterogeneous nature of communication protocols further increase the security challenges of EC. Also, the trustworthiness of hardware devices is challenged due to security and privacy threats like trojan insertion, IP cloning, and hardware counterfeits. the application of Machine Language (ML) models in the edge computing paradigm creates a distributed intelligence architecture. Also, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) can exploit Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) characteristics to generate and store authentication keys. the PUF structure deployed with ML models in the edge layer can learn its complex input-output mapping from the Challenge and Response pairs (CRPs) to identify the suspicious and unknown responses. this article discusses the security and privacy issues in various layers of the EC architecture and proposes intrusion detection systems through the integration of FPGA-based edge sever and ML models. A PUF-assisted ML framework of the intrusion detection system is proposed to authenticate and detect potential attacks on the network.

Low-latency stream processing applications (SPA) distribute the event streams on parallel instances of the application's operators to avoid queuing. Each operator has a set of processing nodes for its *** and fog infrastructures promise, among other things, low communication latency and are thus of interest for low-latency SPAs. Yet, they include heterogeneous, even volatile nodes which makes the parallel processing of SPAs challengingAvailable solutions for parallel SPAs often assume homogeneity and stable ***, we aim to balance the stream processing among heterogeneous, instable infrastructures using a decentralized control mechanism. We propose a decentralized, dynamic, and lightweight approach to re-balance SPA-load according to the nodes current performance, while minimizing latencies. In doing so, we introduce the Coda-EFC framework for window-based stream processing on heterogeneous distributed infrastructures. It dynamically adapts its load balancing to node performance without computing quickly outdated schedules and aims for latency-optimal load balancing. We introduce two adaptive load balancing strategiesone tailored for heterogeneous, dynamic infrastructures, the other an adaptation of a state-of-the art approach.

Caching is the basis of Information-Centric networking. Its transparent, pervasive and fine-grained features make it useful to address the network traffic explosion problem. However, traditional network caching policies only consider cache hit ratio. this paper takes energy efficiency as a major design objective for caching policies, chooses the appropriate network energy consumption model to calculate the overall energy consumption of content caching and content transmission, and then designs and implements a distributed game-based energy-Aware caching decision policy (GEACD) and an energy-Aware cache migration policy (EACM). Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce network energy consumption. © 2021 IEEE.

In the era of information interconnection, the evolution of enterprise digitalization necessitates the adoption of architectures that can support dynamic and complex business operations. Microservices architecture, characterized by its flexibility, scalability, and efficiency, has emerged as a pivotal solution for modern enterprises, enabling the decomposition of monolithic applications into independently deployable services. However, with the expansion of enterprises and the intricate nature of business operations, microservices architecture encounters challenges in service governance, monitoring, management, and integration in multi-vendor environments. Addressing these challenges, this paper introduces a Cross-Service Provider Unified Monitoring System (CSPUMS) tailored for microservice business platforms operating within multi-service provider ecosystems. CSPUMS, a novel three-layer system architecture, encompasses a data acquisition layer, a monitoring layer, and a data presentation layer, designed to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of service platforms across diverse cloud environments. through the deployment of Docker container technology for data aggregation and the implementation of a multi-dimensional threshold alarm template, CSPUMS enhances operational monitoring, fault management, and service continuity in complex multi-service settings. this paper significantly enhances microservice platforms by providing integrated monitoring solutions for multi-cloud and multi-service environments, ensuring operational efficiency and agility for digitally transforming enterprises.

Nowadays, a lot of types of communication system to make consensus among people are provided. We can utilize these kinds of systems, such as Social network system, e-mail, and instant messenger system, to make a decision and determination through online discussion. In the next decade, we can forecast a lot of types of consensus formation systems are provided and we may find new communication systems integrating between cyber and physical environment. In this talk, I introduce our conducted experiments using cyber-physical discussion environment in the panel discussion session in the conference. In the session, facilitator asks question to panelists about issues on the discussion and attendees can also do as well by their voice. Each attendee also can post and declare his/her opinions and suggestions through the online discussion system during the session. One or two facilitators facilitate the discussion in the online system as well as real discussion. We found out a lot of interesting results of attendees survey taken in before/after the experiments. I also introduce the environment to provide useful information for attendees by the digital signage system in the conference venue. this digital signage system is connected to the attendees location capture system and conference registration system. these integrations between cyber and physical environments and data enable to make better consensus formation between all sorts of people.

the concept of microgrids is crucial to increase the controllability of the distribution networks and consequentially enable deep integration of the renewable energy sources. Distribution networks control paradigm based on the concept of microgrids ensures operational harmonization of different types of distributed energy resources (DER) located in the distribution network. In this paper we introduce an control framework that is used to ensure optimal operation of the microgrid by taking into account technical and economical aspects. the introduced control framework consists of three modules - communication, archive and optimization module. the operation and the performance of the proposed control framework are validated on the laboratory microgrid setup consisting of IEEE 33-bus distribution network simulated on the real-time simulator and physical CIGRE low-voltage distribution network.

Multi-access edge computing (MEC) technology is a potential solution to the conflict between resource-constrained unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and various emerging computationally intensive, delay-sensitive applications of UAVs. In this paper, we study the joint optimization problem of distributed computation offloading and resource allocation in MEC-supported UAV application scenarios, where the task of each UAV can be divided and offloaded to multiple servers deployed in ground wireless access points (WAPs) for parallel processing. To enhance the quality of user experience (QoE) while avoiding excessive optimization, we propose a new user satisfaction function to evaluate the task processing level of MEC network, which respectively scores the actual task processing delay and energy consumption based on different criteria determined by task requirements. We aim to trade off delay and energy consumption by jointly optimizing server selection, computing resource allocation, transmission power control, and task allocation to achieve maximum user satisfaction. the joint optimization problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem. To reduce the complexity of the joint optimization problem, it is decomposed into three sub-problems based on the divide-and-conquer approach: server computing resource allocation, transmission power control, and task offloading decision. We propose a three-layer intelligent optimization (TIO) algorithm, which employs the Lagrange multiplier method, the AdaDelta gradient descent method, and our proposed multivariate decoupling-particle swarm optimization (MD-PSO) algorithm to solve the above three sub-problems alternately for gradually approaching the maximum user satisfaction. the numerical results show that our proposed algorithm is significantly superior to the benchmark algorithms in terms of solving speed, accuracy, and stability.
