CPPS (Cyber Physical Production System) must be accompanied to build a smart factory. through the CPPS, it is the reality of a smart factory to move physical factories to a digital based Cyber world and to monitor and control them intelligently and autonomously. However, the existing CPPS architectures present only an abstract modeling architecture, and the application of the OPC UA (Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture) Framework, which is the international standard for data exchange in smart factories, as the basic system of CPPS In addition, the construction of CPPS using the cloud is still in its infancy, and a cloud platform accompanied by Edge computing is needed considering the real-time, unstructured and distributed control of factories. In this paper, we propose an architecture that implements CPPS in the cloud with a cloud CPPS architecture applicable to real factories for smart factories, distributed control using Edge computing with Container Docker, and an architecture that provides fault tolerance through load balancing and clustering using Edge Orchestration. Cloud computing has brought a new vision about what applications might expect from underlying networks. Software Defined networking, in this context, provides techniques to make networks more flexible to application requirements as well as to virtual networks, which help implement the provisioning of physical resources to support tenants. Cloud-hosted applications assume that networks have high throughput, but do not consider competition through the medium, handled by the switches. this paper aims to present the concept of Workspace as a new paradigm to manage the underlying resources in terms of meeting the communication requirements. We introduce a clean-slate approach based on horizontal addressing that has Workspaces as logical links capable of being parameterized at the level of medium access control. In addition, an overview of a new network element designed to allow the parameterization of Workspaces directly on the hardware is given.

Smart Grid represents an efficient power transmission, distribution and management system. However, solutions for Smart Grid have raised security and privacy problems. Moreover, with the introduction of renewable energy resources, such as rooftop solar panels and small biogas plants, more and more electricity consumers are involved in the energy generation system. this may cause the power system unstable and/or the waste of the energy. Blockchain is a promising technology for solving these problems in the future energy system on account of its distributed trust, anonymity, data integrity and availability. In this paper, we propose a Blockchain-based architecture for Smart Grid. By using the proposed architecture, electricity consumers can be fully involved in the energy system and tracing the details of the energy they have consumed or generated. At the same time, the stability of the energy system can be kept, reducing the waste of the energy and potential hazard to the electrical equipment. (C) 2019 the Authors. Globalization from modernity has linked the global with the local in a complicated way. In the process of modernity, China national regions are not only characterized by homogenization of cultures, but lay more emphasis on heterogeneity and peculiarity of cultures along with cultural industrialization. Paradoxically, the emphasis of heterogeneity adopts a unified model leading to homogenization of diversified cultures. Meanwhile, when facing modernity, the local has to strengthen place identification and ethnic identities with the reconstruction of its own culture as well as reassessment and reconfirmation of its own identity. Based on defect analysis and derivation of PageRank algorithm, the improved algorithm of PageRank algorithm—PRS algorithm with the connection of characterizations of reboot and sparsity network’ smoothness is proposed in response to particularity of friendships among users in social network. It turns out that PageRank algorithm tends to measure something on a standard of computing the number of income links while PRS algorithm tends to do that on comprehensive situation. In the social network, PRS algorithm is more suitable for calculating the influence of users. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

distributed wireless network is a new architecture which has wide application prospects in ultra-dense networking, distributed Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, low latency transmission, and industrial wireless sensor networks. As the key of information coordination among nodes in distributed wireless networks, election mechanism can avoid a large amount of signaling consumption caused by repeated reservation of nodes and achieve low collision transmission of control signaling. this paper focuses on election mechanism of distributed wireless networks, and analyses the key factors affecting the election efficiency. In order to provide better Quality of Service (QoS) support to distributed wireless networks, an improved election mechanism based on load priority is proposed. Modification of original election mechanism and simulation results which is described in detail in this paper. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the improved election mechanism.

In today's communications world Internet has become backbone of services and applications. However, its tremendous success has made it vulnerable to attacks by malicious users as well. Various kinds of network based attacks, like distributed Denial of Service, Spam based attacks, Botnets based attacks, Malwares, etc. are launched causing denial of services to its legitimate users. Detection of malicious packet traces in the network traffic has always proved to be challenging task due to its high volume and velocity. Both academicians and researchers have worked on techniques for timely detection and mitigation of these attacks. Due to ever changing behavior of these attacks anomaly based detection techniques have proved to be more successful. they however suffer from high false detection rates. Semi-supervised techniques based on traditional machine learning algorithms have efficient. But raw network traffic detection using machine learning been found to be highly is unlabeled and attack algorithms needs labeled datasets. It therefore is required to provide a framework that can be used to handle large packet traces for conversion to labelled data to be further processed by classification algorithms. In this paper work has been done to label the data using K-Means clustering in distributed framework and comparison of classification techniques names Decision Tree and Random Forest.

Use cases in the Internet of things (IoT) and in mobile clouds often require the interaction of one or more mobile devices with their infrastructure to provide users with services. Ideally, this interaction is based on a reliable connection between the communicating devices, which is often not the case. Since most use cases do not adequately address this issue, service quality is often compromised. Aimed to address this issue, this paper proposes a novel approach to forecast the connectivity and bandwidth of mobile devices by applying machine learning to the context data recorded by the various sensors of the mobile device. this concept, designed as a microservice, has been implemented in the mobile middleware CloudAware, a system software infrastructure for mobile cloud computing that integrates easily with mobile operating systems, such as Android. We evaluate our approach with real sensor data and show how to enable mobile devices in the IoT to make assumptions about their future connectivity, allowing for intelligent and distributed decision making on the mobile edge of the network. Resilience is defined as the ability of the power system to maintain a desirable level of performance against severe turbulence and restore over an appropriate period of time. Adverse weather conditions and natural disasters have always led to intensive damage and extensive outages at the distribution network level. the number and severity of these events have often increased in recent years. therefore, evaluating the resilience of the network and its restoration capability while confronting severe conditions, and alleviating how much electricity distribution networks are impacted by such nasty incidences should be among the long-term planning priorities for the design and operation of grids. In this paper, the structure of the proposed smart microgrid is first designed based on an IEEE test network including distributed energy resources (DER) subject to satisfy the targeted objectives, and the prevailing equations, and constraints of microgrid's energy balance with respect to the simulation of a sample event (storm occurrence and bad weather conditions). then, the resilient criteria are assessed in accordance with the input information and parameters provided based on the estimation of the Energy Not Supplied (ENS) index and both faulted and normal operation indices in smart microgrid operational cases. the results imply that an accurate and practical estimation and selection of energy storage facility, as well as precise modeling of the smart microgrids, highly improves the resilience and reliability of the micro-grid in terms of economy and security, and can strengthen the level of stability to withstand against severe contingencies.

In distributed networks, the consistent network views (e.g., network events, network topology, and device information, etc) are critical to the network operators and service providers who aim to perform the global network/service optimizations depending on the overall network views. However, to achieve the consensus over distributed networks is a challenge, because the consistent global network view requires to exchange the local network view within the distributed domain controllers. More critically, the network view in each controller is prone to be falsified by malicious attackers who intend to destroy the network consensus. To this end, we propose an Ethereum based consensus protection system that can ensure the tamper-proof network-view synchronization. In this paper, we present our design and implementation of the data-synchronization system. A prototype is developed based on the Ethereum platform. Evaluation results have demonstrated the effectiveness of our prototype. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) is widely used for intelligent planning problems due to its simplicity and efficiency. As an intelligent planner based on HTN, JSHOP2 can complete task planning in order of precedence or randomly. In real-world tasks planning, such as automatic vehicles dispatch, has to deal with complicated auto planning problems where different tasks must be considered properly at the same time. But JSHOP2 ignores the priority of different tasks and thus fails to deal with multi-task planning problems with priorities. In this paper, we improve JSHOP2 planner by adding priorities to different task lists and task items, and adjusting the order of task execution according to priority. Furthermore, we conduct an experiment using a classic logistics problem, and get the results validate the effectiveness of our method. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
