Advances in sensor technology and multi-core Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) is going to drive the future of self-driving vehicle. To mark a commercial success, it will require another 10-15years for such vehicles to come on the road for different safety reasons. Until we see the driverless vehicles, various research groups are active to improving current state-of-the-art of Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS). the use of ADAS is not new and had benefitted drivers through cruise control, collision avoidance, parking assistance, lane departure warning, blind spot detection. In past few years, there are several research attempts are made to monitor the driver's behaviour including braking, steering wheel manoeuvre, drowsiness, on the road surface and environment conditions, vehicle health etc. All these research studies are influenced by a goal of minimizing accidents on the road. In this paper, we study lane-changing behavior using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) and Dempster-Shafer-theory (DST) for steering angle and brake. the effectiveness of the proposed system is presented by conducting simulation experiments. We found the accuracy of the system is remarkably increased with combined approach of HMM & DST.

SPOT6 is a new remote sensing satellite launched in 2012, with high spatial resolution and strong data acquisition ability. However, a complete data preprocessing technology for the regulation of land resources has not yet been formed. According to the characteristics of SPOT6 satellite images, four different image fusion methods – Gram-Schmidt, HPF, Pan Sharpand Pan Sharpening were selected to conduct the comparison experiment by using the software platforms of ENVI, ERDAS and PCI. We evaluate the results' performances from 3 different aspects. First, evaluating the image quality of experiment results qualitatively, then assessed quantitatively by establishing evaluation indexes including mean, standard deviation, information entropy, average gradient and correlation coefficient. Finally, evaluating the applicative effect offused images based on the classification accuracy. the analysis results shows that the method of Pan Sharp is best to extract construction land information. Based on the Pan Sharp fusion image, in order to obtain the texture information under different scales, the authors screened the texture features according to Shannon entropy, and then used distance-based approach J-M to calculate the separation for choosing the optimal texture window. Once got the texture information,combining it with the original image to participate in the multi-scale image classification. the research result showed that multi-window texture participation in classification can improve separation of objects. Finally we extract construction land information with the method of SVM. this study may provide the technical support for application of SPOT6 image in the land resources management.

the measurements of physical properties under multi-extreme conditions, i.e., high pressure, low temperature and magnetic field, occupies much attention in the various fields of science and engineering. though there are lots of technical difficulties in such measurements, we could get more information about electronic and crystalline structure of materials than that when we change only one external condition. In addition, such a conditions sometimes induces an exotic electronic state which is reported previously. We constructed a high pressure apparatus for use at low temperature and high magnetic field [1]. However, recently it is strongly desired to expand the ranges of pressure, temperature and magnetic field in order to make clear the origin of electronic state of materials. In the present work, we report a new type equipment in which we can apply hydrostatic pressure up to 3.5 GPa and magnetic field up to 11 Tesla. intensifier which generate load up to 30 ton with automatic control by hydraulic pump. (2) is piston made of SUS304. the He chamber is sealed by O-ring. the load is transmitted through the compression member, (3), to the piston-cylinder type high pressure cell, (6), which was made of WC (tungsten carbide) and Ni-Co-Cr-Mo alloy (MP35N). (3) is alternating FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic). (4) is a tension member made by SUS304. Superconducting magnet, (7), made by NbTi superconducting coil located around the (6). (5) is a cryostat. the load is always kept constant automatically with less than ±1% error. (3) has a role not only a compression member but also a thermal insulator, which is very important role for using liquid He temperature region. the maximum magnetic field, in the present work, of 9 T at 4.2 K (11 T at 2.2 K) is easily obtained by Oxford superconducting magnet, (7). We will report the details of this apparatus.

Measurement of the background radio noise is very important process being used in survey of radio noise environment, calculating the threshold level for the frequency occupancy measurement and so forth. First step of background radio noise measurement is to select the sample sub-band which is mostly dominated by the background white Gaussian noise (WGN) within the target band. the second step is to carry out the main measurement of radio noise on this selected sample sub-band for the representative value of the noise power. In this paper, an algorithm for selection of sample sub-band for the effective background radio noise measurement using SVD is proposed under the assumption that background radio noise is WGN. the performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with that of the APD method which is widely used for the same purpose. Simulation results are shown to demonstrate the high performance of the proposed algorithm in comparison with the existing APD method.

Deep learning-based methods have spearheaded the automatic analysis of echocardiographic images, taking advantage of the publication of multiple open access datasets annotated by experts (CAMUS being one of the largest public databases). However, these models are still considered unreliable by clinicians due to unresolved issues concerning i) the temporal consistency of their predictions, and ii) their ability to generalize across datasets. In this context, we propose a comprehensive comparison between the current best performing methods in medical/echocardiographic image segmentation, with a particular focus on temporal consistency and cross-dataset aspects. We introduce a new private dataset, named CARDINAL, of apical two-chamber and apical four-chamber sequences, with reference segmentation over the full cardiac cycle. We show that the proposed 3D nnU-Net outperforms alternative 2D and recurrent segmentation methods. We also report that the best models trained on CARDINAL, when tested on CAMUS without any fine-tuning, still manage to perform competitively with respect to prior methods. Overall, the experimental results suggest that with sufficient training data, 3D nnU-Net could become the first automated tool to finally meet the standards of an everyday clinical device. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

this paper investigated the relationship between vegetation coverage and rural settlements in Horqin Left Back Banner. there are 4 spatial patterns about the relationship between vegetation coverage and rural settlements,including high region-low region, high region-low region-high region, high region-low region-high region-low region, and high region. Around rural settlements, land is used as cultivated land and vegetation coverage is high. the overlap effect of overgrazing and extensive cultivation creates the first low region of vegetation coverage. With increasing distance from rural settlements,human disturbance to vegetation growth decreases, vegetation coverage increases, and the high region appears again. the second low region of vegetation coverage is caused by the overgrazing of another rural settlement. At the border region of 2 adjacent villages, 3 different conditions are presented with the vegetation coverage and rural settlements. In the first condition, vegetation coverage is low and is located at the intersection of both low regions of the 2rural settlements. In the second condition, the vegetation coverage is high and is located at the intersection of both high regions of the 2 rural settlements. In the third condition, vegetation coverage is low and is located at the intersection of both low regions of the 2 rural settlements. According to the changing patterns and reasons for such patterns, we present strategies for anti-desertification,including banning grazing, stopping extensive cultivation, promoting optimal choice of sand-fixation plant, and clarifying land property rights.

Wireless local area network (WLAN) brings us a low cost and high bandwidth experience and thus plays a critically important role in current/future networks to support high-rate transmissions. To better provide quality-of-service (QoS) for WLAN users, we in this paper propose an improved scheme called "A-EDCA" (adaptive EDCA), based on enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) of IEEE 802.11e under the infrastructure mode. Our proposed scheme aims at efficiently adapting the transmission over WLAN to the time-varying network conditions and mitigating the competition ability unfairness between access point (AP) and non-AP stations (STAs). Specifically, all non-AP STAs adaptively modify the contention window based on the network condition. Moreover, AP skips the backoff phase by setting its backoff counter as zero when non-AP STA completes transmission successfully to relieve the unfairness. At last, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
