the article is devoted to the development and numerical implementation of a 3D hydrodynamic mathematical model intended for computing the movement velocity of the aquatic environment in river mouth areas. the equations in the hydrodynamic model of a shallow reservoir are approximated using the balance method and taking into account the fullness of control areas. this approach makes it possible to take into account the complex geometry of the coastline and the bottom and significantly increase the accuracy of computations. the numerical methods and algorithms we have developed are the basis of the software package that we tested on a supercomputer cluster using MPI technology. the package can simulate hydrodynamic processes that take place in shallow-water bodies. It is designed for computing systems with distributed memory. To test the functionality of the software package, we use the mathematical model to compute the rise in the water level of a river and its course in the mouth area. the geometry of the computational area is given in the form of a depth map. the computations for a rectangular grid with 1000 x 1000 x 60 nodes on 24 processors yield an acceleration by more than a factor of 15.

A substantial data volume growth will appear with the start of the HL-LHC era. It is not well covered by the current LHC computing model, even taking into account the hardware evolution. the WLCG DOMA project was established to provide data management and storage researches. National data lake r&d's, as a part of the DOMA project, should address the study of possible technology solutions for the organization of intelligent distributed federated storage. this talk will present the current status of the Russian Scientific Data lake prototype and the methodology, which is used for the validation and functional testing of deployed infrastructure. Tracking is an important task in the field of High Energy physics. Modern experiments produce enormous amounts of data, and classical tracking algorithms cannot reach required computing efficiency. this lead to the need to develop new methods, some of them use neural network models. In our work we present modifications of previously developed model, TrackNetV2. this model and its descendants showed great results for Monte-Carlo simulations of experiments with microstrip-based GEM detectors: BESIII and BM@N RUN6. In this work we adapt it to more complex scenario for BM@N RUN7. the work showed limitations in architecture and training procedure, which are reworked later. © 2021 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved.

MapReduce has been widely used to process large-scale data in the past decade. Among the quantity of such cloud computing applications, we pay special attention to distributed mosaic methods based on numerous drone images, which suffers from costly processing time. In this paper, a novel computing framework called Apache Spark is introduced to pursue instant responses for the quantity of drone image mosaic requests. To assure high performance of Spark-based algorithms in a complex cloud computing environment, we specially design a distributed and parallel drone image mosaic method. By modifying to be fit for fast and parallel running, all steps of the proposed mosaic method can be executed in an efficient and parallel manner. We implement the proposed method on Apache Spark platform and apply it to a few self-collected datasets. Experiments indicate that our Spark-based parallel algorithm is of great efficiency and is robust to process low-quality drone aerial images. © 2020, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

the researches at the NICA accelerator complex (JINR, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna) require efficient and fast software implementations of algorithms for modeling and reconstruction of the particle collision events. BmnRoot package developed for the BM@N experiment is based on the ROOT environment, Geant4 and the FairRoot object-oriented framework. BmnRoot includes tools for event simulation, reconstruction and data analysis modules. With the announcement of Geant4MT multithreading support in ROOT and FairRoot, the problem of modifying the BmnRoot code for multithreading simulation appeared. As a result, an event-driven parallelism model has been implemented for event simulation in BmnRoot. the stages of the performed work and the results of testing the implemented multithreaded version are presented. Medical applications are among the tasks of optical technology. the processing of two-dimensional optical signals and images is an urgent task today. One of the most dangerous eye diseases is diabetic macular retinopathy. the first stage in the laser coagulation operation is the stage of fundus image segmentation. the calculation of texture features for solving this problem takes a lot of time. In this paper, we consider the use of a high-performance algorithm for calculating texture features based on distributed computing to speed up the processing and analysis of medical images. Various use cases of the high-performance algorithm on a single node were investigated and compared with sequential and parallel algorithms. the high-performance algorithm achieves a 40x speedup and more under some parameters. Using a high-performance algorithm, analysis and segmentation is performed in less than 1 minute for standard images. the use of a high-performance algorithm for the analysis and segmentation of fundus images avoids the need for a sequential skip-step algorithm, which, due to interpolation, reduces the execution time, but at the same time, accuracy is lost.

the article presents the analysis of approaches and solutions for upgrading of the distributed e-infrastructure of NREN RENAM as a key factor for support of research and educational (R&E) activities in Moldova. Special attention is paid to the development of cross-border optical connections for interaction of the national networking infrastructure with the pan-European academic network GEANT and neighborhood NRENs, the introduction of modern services for support R&E, improvement of national and regional cooperation. the infrastructure upgrade is focused on supporting a high-bandwidth distributed environment for deploying and operating a wide range of services offered to end users by the RENAM-GEANT platform. © 2021 CEUR-WS. MPDRoot is the software framework for simulation, reconstruction and physics analysis of the simulated and experimental data for MPD experiment at NICA. It is planned to obtain ~ 108 events of heavy ion collisions for physics analysis, hence it is crucial to have the effective and efficient methodology of the systematic performance improvement of MPDRoot's backend. In this work, we present the analysis of timing and instruction performance of MPDRoot's reconstruction by benchmarks and the Callgrind profiler. We evaluate the feasibility of speeding up reconstruction by the reduction of method-call overhead and the possible benefit of optimizing the math library. Based on the obtained results we draw conclusions about necessary steps to be taken in the near future of MPDRoot's development. Copyright © 2021 for this paper by its authors. In this paper, we describe 3D finite-element models for the study of billets used in pipe rolling and made of steel sheets thicker than 25 mm. Relying on 3D modeling with the MSC Marc software package, we study how several alternatives of lowering the upper roller of a traditional profile affect the geometry of the resulting pipe billet and, also, the distribution of deformations and stress during the bending process. We manage to reduce the computation time for a 3D model with a finite element mesh containing more than one million nodes, which is possible through multi-threaded computation distributed over the nodes of a computing cluster. the main load during the first pass of a bending tool with a traditional profile is exerted on local areas of the outer surface of the pipe billet. those areas are located on the border of the edges and the chamfers of the weld groove. Plastic deformation occurs on them and leads to local thinning of the pipe billet. We suggest alternatives for changing the profile of the bending tool to create additional contact pads during the bending process.

An ultra-low power DFT architecture suitable for MIMO-OFDM applications & it was introduced in this study. Several radix such as 8/16/32 dependent optimization methods are performed to create variable lengths of 4k/8k points, a necessity in today's 4G and 5G communication technologies, which are plagued by a number of power and performance concerns with DFT processors. these technologies are widely used but have a higher energy footprint than others. Consequently, this work uses a novel approach called "SBOX" and the concept of parallelism to boost performance and reduce power consumption, all of which are essential for an advanced DFT architecture. parallelism and the proposed SBOX model allow for fewer multiplications and faster processing times. Cadence-allegro-17.2 is used for the design and verification of the full implementation; this software is also used for simulation, synthesis, layout, and power analysis. the area required for 8-point s-box DFT is 105.15 um2, it requires 7mW of power, and it can achieve a throughput of 59.33GBPS. In addition, the throughput of 57.33GBPS may be achieved by 16-point s-box DFT with a footprint of 123.35um2, using 9mW of power. Also, the throughput of 32-point s-box DFT is 56.45GBPS on a chip that uses 10.24 mW and occupies 132.35um2. With MIMO in 5G technology, this layout becomes more practical for usage in telecommunications. the performance is enhanced over existing architectures thanks to the optimized radix 8 s-box DFT.
