5G mobile networks will be soon available to handle all types of applications and to provide service to massive numbers of users. In this complex and dynamic network ecosystem, end-to-end performance analysis and optimization will be key features in order to effectively manage the diverse requirements imposed by multiple vertical industries over the same shared infrastructure. To enable such a vision, the MARSAL project [ 1] targets the development and evaluation of a complete framework for the management and orchestration of network resources in 5G and beyond by utilizing a converged optical-wireless network infrastructure in the access and fronthaul/midhaul segments. At the network design domain, MARSAL targets the development of novel cell-free-based solutions. Namely, scalable and cost-efficient wireless access points deployment will be achieved by exploiting the distributed cell-free concept combined with wireless and wired serial fronthaul approaches. We will target the inclusion of these innovative functionalities in the O-RAN project. In parallel, in the fronthaul/midhaul segments MARSAL aims to radically increase the flexibility of optical access architectures for Beyond-5G cell site connectivity via different levels of fixed-mobile convergence. In the network and service management domain, the design philosophy of MARSAL is to provide a comprehensive framework for the management of the entire set of communication and computational network resources by exploiting novel ML-based algorithms of both edge and midhaul data centers, by incorporating the Virtual Elastic Data Centers/Infrastructures paradigm. Finally, at the network security domain, MARSAL aims to introduce mechanisms that provide privacy and security to application workload and data, targeting to allow applications and users to maintain control over their data when relying on the deployed shared infrastructures, while AI and Blockchain technologies will be developed in order to guarantee a secured

Cohesive subgraphs are applied in various fields. Mining cohesive components such as k-truss have attracted a lot of effort to improve time efficiency in large-scale graphs. the k-truss is a subgraph where each edge is contained in at least k- 2 triangles and the problem of truss decomposition is computing the k-trusses of a graph for all k. However, most graphs in real scenarios are usually changing over time. the previous studies take the static graphs as input, and the truss maintenance in dynamic graphs receives little attention. this paper focuses on distributed algorithms for truss maintenance. We present a distributed model underlying the real distributed processing model Pregel. Based on the model, we propose truss decomposition and truss maintenance algorithms. To confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithms, we conduct extensive experiments over both real-world and synthetic graphs. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the processing and analysis of experimental and simulated data are an integral part of all modern high-energy physics experiments. these tasks are of particular importance in the experiments of the NICA project at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research due to the high interaction rate and large particle multiplicity of ion collision events, therefore, the task of automating the considered processes for the NICA complex has particular relevance. the paper describes a new information system based on the Condition Database, as well as related services to automate storing, managing, searching and using various parameters and operation modes of the on-going and future NICA experiments for experimental and simulated data processing. the implemented system provides the necessary information for event processing and physics analysis tasks, and organises the transparent, unified access to and management of the required parameter data in scientific research. the scheme and purposes of the Condition Database, its attributes, key aspects of the development are described. Particle collision experiments are known to generate a substantial amount of data that must be stored and then analyzed. Typically, only a small subset of all collected events is relevant when performing a particular physics analysis task. Although it is possible to obtain the required subset of event records directly, by iterating through the whole volume of the collected data, the process is very time and resource consuming. Instead, a more convenient approach widely used in modern particle collision experiments is to have an event metadata or indexing system that stores summary properties of all events and allows for the fast search for and retrieval of only necessary events based on given criteria. Such a system, called the Event Metadata System, has been developed for the current fixed-target and future collider experiments of the NICA project. the design of the system, its components, user interfaces and the REST API service, its integration with existing experiment systems and software, as well as associated challenges, are presented. © 2021 CEUR-WS. the questions of constructing optimal logical structure of a distributed database (DDB) are considered. Solving these issues will make it possible to increase the speed of processing requests in DDB in comparison with a traditional database. In particular, such tasks arise for the organization of systems for processing huge amounts of information from the Large Hadron Collider. In these systems various DDB are used to store information about: the system of triggers of data collection from physical experimental installations, the geometry and the operating conditions of the detector while collecting experimental data. Two interrelated stages in the synthesis algorithm are proposed. At the first stage, the problem of distribution of database clusters between the server and clients, followed by the problem of optimal distribution of data groups of each node by types of logical records are addressed. At the second stage the problem of database localization on the nodes of the computer network is solved, in addition to the results of the first stage, the characteristics of the DDB are taken into account. Optimal logical structure of DDB will ensure the efficiency of the information system on computational resources. As a result of its solution, the local network of the DDB is decomposed into a number of clusters that have minimal information connectivity with each other. Solving the problem of synthesis of the optimal logical structure is also of great practical importance for the automated design of logical structures, for the automated formation of query specifications and adjustments of the DDB. © 2021 CEUR-WS. Recent technological advances in computer hardware and software industry resulted in a wide range of single- and multi-core processors, operating systems, compilers and applications, with the ultimate goal to increase the overall performances of the computing system. Although the number of transistors that can fit on a chip has been doubling every 18 months, there is still difficult to improve the performances of sequential single-core processors, and even of parallel many-processor and multi-core shared-memory systems. the main issue resides in the computer’s hardware and software inability to alleviate the occurrence of processor-memory bottleneck and to provide parallel instruction execution at peak level. therefore, this paper proposes a memory-centric approach of parallel processing in a distributed system, which includes several RISC-based processor cores that integrate on-chip memory and provide direct access to it, without using registers and cache memory. Furthermore, the execution of several algorithms with different arithmetical intensity is evaluated and the achieved improvements are discussed. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.

the Bures-Fisher metric on the subset βN,κ of the state space of an N-level quantum system, consisting of rank-k density matrices is given by a solution to the Uhlmann equation. Solving the Uhlmann equation βN,κ on, we use its (equation presented) decomposition into a finite union of strata βκ[II,α] of different SU(N) orbit types with all admissible isotropy groups Hα. Nowadays, the problem of identification and authentication on the Internet is more urgent than ever. there are several reasons for this: on the one hand, there are many Internet services that keep records of users and differentiate their access rights to certain resources;on the other hand, cybercriminals' attacks on web services have become much more frequent lately. At the same time, in many cases, the weak point of systems exposed to attacks is precisely the authentication system. Authentication methods based on the knowledge factor (e. g. password protection) are the most common and are applied almost everywhere. their advantages are ease and low cost of implementation. On the other hand, such systems are often vulnerable to various kinds of attacks. It is estimated that up to 80% of successful hacker attacks (including attacks on the largest services with millions of users) succeeded precisely because of the weakness of the password protection system. this paper presents a solution to the problem of passwordless authentication, which can be applied in a number of online services and systems. In particular, we consider the magic link technology and present an authentication system implemented using Keycloak, an open-source software product that implements single sign-on technology. In the future, it is possible to further improve the system, in particular, using adaptive authentication, which allows switching between different authentication mechanisms depending on certain factors. © 2021 CEUR-WS. the Internet of things (IoT) and its applications are gaining popularity in recent years due to features like ease of use and increased availability of the Internet. We can enhance the efficiency of IoT based systems by adding other advanced technologies like cloud infrastructure and blockchain technology. through these enhancements IoT applications can be accessed at any time from any place. However, a database is required for storing the information of the application. Cloud infrastructure is an ideal solution for storing IoT based applications as it provides remote services such as storage, computation, and analysis. the major drawback of these applications are their inability to provide security and privacy for data. Blockchain technology helps in overcoming these drawbacks with features like immutability, transparency, and distributed structure.
