Smart agriculture is one of the most diverse research. In addition, the quantity of data to be stored and the choice of the most efficient algorithms to process are significant elements in this field. the storage of collecting data from Internet of things (IoT), existing on distributed, local databases and open data need a particular infrastructure to federate all these data to make complex treatments. the storage of this wide range of data that comes at high frequency and variable throughput is particularly difficult. In this paper, we propose the use of distributed databases and high-performance computing architecture in order to exploit multiple re-configurable computing and application specific processing such as CPUs, GPUs, TPUs and FPGAs efficiently. this exploitation allows an accurate training for an application to machine learning, deep learning and unsupervised modeling algorithms. the last ones are used for training supervised algorithms on images when it labels a set of images and unsupervised algorithms on IoT data which are unlabeled with variable qualities. the processing of data is based on Hadoop 3.1 MapReduce to achieve parallel processing and use containerization technologies to distribute treatments on Multi GPU, MIC and FPGA. this architecture allows efficient treatments of data coming from several sources with a cloud high-performance heterogeneous architecture. the proposed 4 layers infrastructure can also implement FPGA and MIC which are now natively supported by recent version of Hadoop. Moreover, with the advent of new technologies like Intel (R) Movidius (TM);it is now possible to deploy CNN at the Fog level in the IoT network and to make inference with the cloud and therefore limit significantly the network traffic that result in reducing the move of large amounts of data to the cloud. Algorithmic skeletons are patterns of parallel computations. Skeletal parallel programming eases parallel programming: a program is merely a composition of such patterns. Data-parallel skeletons operate on parallel data-structures that have often sequential counterparts. In algorithmic skeleton approaches that offer a global view of programs, a parallel program has therefore a structure similar to a sequential program but operates on parallel data-structures. PySke is such an algorithmic skeleton library for Python to program shared or distributed memory parallel architectures in a simple way. this paper presents an extension to PySke: new algorithmic skeletons on parallel lists. this extension is evaluated on an application.

Taking into account the high rate of construction in the modern big cities, it is very important to save the natural aerodynamics between the buildings. It is necessary to explore the ventilation of space between architectural structures, making a preliminary prediction before construction starting. the most optimal way of evaluating is to build a mathematical model of air flow. this paper presents numerical solutions of the wind flow around the architectural obstacles with the vertical buoyancy forces. An incompressible Navier-Stokes equation is used to describe this process. this system is approximated by the control volume method and solved numerically by the projection method. the Poisson equation that is satisfying the discrete continuity equation solved by the Jacobi iterative method at each time step. For check correctness of mathematical model and numerical algorithm is solved test problem. the numerical solutions of the backward-facing step flow with the vertical buoyancy forces, which was compared with the numerical results of other authors. this numerical algorithm is completely parallelized using various geometric domain decompositions (1D, 2D and 3D). Preliminary theoretical analysis of the various decomposition methods effectiveness of the computational domain and real computational experiments for this problem were made and the best domain decomposition method was determined. In the future, a proven mathematical model and parallelized numerical algorithm with the best domain decomposition method can be applied for various complex flows with the vertical buoyancy forces. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Mobile edge computing enables the execution of compute-intensive applications, e.g. deep learning applications, on the end devices with limited computation resources. However, the deep learning applications bring the performance bottleneck in mobile edge computing, due to the movements of a large amount of data incurred by the large number of layers and millions of weights. In this paper, the computing model for parallel deep learning applications in mobile edge computing is proposed, by considering the occupancy allocation of processors, cost of context switch, and multi-processors in edge server and remote cloud. the problem of minimizing the completion time for deep learning applications is formulated, and the NP-hardness of the problem is proved. To solve the problem, an integrated algorithm by merging and scheduling is proposed. Moreover, a real-world distributed platform is developed for evaluating the proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that, the completion time of deep learning application for the proposed algorithm is decreased by 63% and 75%, respectively, without extra control costs, compared with the existing algorithms.

We propose two extensions for a state-of-the-art method of rollback-recovery in distributed CEP (complex event processing). In CEP, an operator network is used to search for patterns in events streams. Sometimes these operators fail and lose their state. Rollback-recovery is a method for dealing with such state losses. the type of rollback-recovery we consider is upstream backup, where the state of a failed operator is recovered by replaying to it the input events that led it to that state. these events are kept in upstream operators' memory buffers, which are trimmed continuously as the downstream operator progresses. the first extension we propose saves memory and speeds up recovery by avoiding to store and retransmit unnecessary events. the second extension makes the base method of upstream backup compatible with data-parallel CEP, allowing that the windows into which operators partition their input be processed in parallel. We evaluated the proposed extensions through experiments that showed a significant reduction in memory usage and recovery time at the expense of a negligible processing overhead during normal operation.

this paper presents the fault tolerance and replica synchronization among storage server (Data-node) without the interference of metadata in Hadoop. It employs chunk list data structure which holds the information of relevant replicas stored in storage server. Whenever a client makes write request to the file stored on storage server, the replicas may become inconsistent and chances of getting fault increases. To improve the fault tolerance and replica synchronization, this paper has employed a new mechanism called Rapid replica synchronization. In this work, whenever the client puts write request, the one copy of replica will be updated first and then the remaining replica immediately gets update. During read request, the client will always get the modified data.

In CRN, the secondary user (SU) node exploits radio environment of primary user (PU) for spectrum holes and thus maximizes spectrum utilization. the communication and computation may he interfered by arbitrarily appearance of PU for its channel However, it can he handled by increasing the size of available vacate channel set. the backup set for channels would help to avoid premature failure. therefore, the present work proposes a SU-NODES REPLACEMENT (SUNR) distributed algorithm for maintaining minimum spanning tree (MST) after single node failure in CRN. Our MST tree maintenante algorithm successfully tackles unpredictable dection and makes the protocol fault-tolerant. the correct oof and simulation is included for algorithm verification.

In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a large-scale qualitative temporal reasoner, MRQUTER, which can perform reasoning over large Web-scale knowledge bases. this temporal reasoner is built on a Hadoop cluster system using the MapReduce parallel programming framework. It decomposes the entire qualitative temporal reasoning process into several MapReduce jobs and incorporates some optimization techniques into each reasoning job component, implemented using a pair of Map and Reduce functions. through experiments using large benchmarking temporal knowledge bases, MRQUTER shows high reasoning performance and scalability.

the performance of Functions-as-a-Service (FaaS) would be significantly improved by organizing cloud servers into a hierarchical distributed architecture, resulting in low-latency access and faster response when compared to centralized cloud. However, the distributed organization introduces a new type of decision making problem for placing and executing functions to a specific cloud server. In order to handle the problem, we extended a well-known cloud computing simulator, CloudSim. the extended CloudSim enables users to define FaaS functions with various characteristics and service level objectives (SLOs), place them across geo-distributed cloud servers, and evaluate per-function performance. Proof-of-Concept (PoC) evaluation results show the potential of our CloudSim extension in terms of execution efficiency and simulation reality.

Cloud computing is a long-established technique which deals with storage and processing of information. In cloud computing, any user is liable to pay and demand according to its particular needs. Due to various limitations of cloud computing like higher latency and more bandwidth consumptions for transmitted information, the origination of Fog computing was essential. Fog computing inherits all the advantages of cloud computing, and also brings computing at the network's edge. In addition, security is a very serious concern for cloud computing. In this paper, fog computing is used as a defensive approach from the day-to-day increasing security threats particularly DDoS attacks in cloud computing. Here an architecture has been proposed to obstruct the malicious traffic generated by the DDoS attack from user to the cloud by utilizing the benefits of fog computing. Fog functions as a filtering layer for the traffic generated and is placed between user and cloud. this paper primarily works to improve the overall performance of the network and enhances reduction in the traffic forwarded to the cloud.
