Code review is an important process to reduce code defects and improve software quality. However, in social coding communities using the pull-based model, everyone can submit code changes, which increases the required code review efforts. therefore, there is a great need of knowing the process of code review and analyzing the pre-existing reviewer recommendation algorithms. In this paper, we do an empirical study about the PRs and their reviewers in Rails project. Moreover, we reproduce a popular and effective IR-based code reviewer recommendation algorithm and validate it on our dataset which contains 16,049 *** find that the inactive reviewers are very important to code reviewing process, however, the pre-existing method's recommendation result strongly depends on the activeness of reviewers. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.

this paper proposes a method for fault location in distribution networks with distributed generation based on an improved spiking neural P system with anti-spikes (IASNP system). In the IASNP system, firing mechanism, fuzzy logic, new types of neurons and a matrix algorithm are introduced. the IASNP system is used to model the distribution networks while its matrix algorithm locates faults by considering the causality between regions and the associated nodes. Finally, two cases, including a multi source distribution network and distribution network with distributed generation, are used to verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed method. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2017.

In order to reduce cost, get to market faster and utilize global talents, large companies often organize their software development globally (distributed over Internet), a paradigm advocated by Internetware. Considering the complexity of distributed software development, it is important to understand the variation of various tasks, so the projects could work more efficiently on plan formulation, personnel organization, or task allocation. the main goal of this paper is to understand the variations of software development tasks. We conduct an interview with 47 interviewees and a survey with 148 people from 15 projects with different size and *** the analysis of interviews and surveys, we find that a software task could be characterized through three aspects: value, difficulty and centrality. Among them, task value is influenced by the role of stakeholders and project context, and is related to the task difficulty and task centrality. Task difficulty is reflected by technology, domain difference, working relationships, customer related issues, and it is also related to the developers' personalities. Task centrality can be described by customer impact, system-wide impact, team impact and future impact. We believe our results can help project managers to optimize task allocation, or adjust project plan, and thus achieve efficient development. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.

Uncertainty is a great challenge for environment perception of autonomous robots. For instance, while building semantic maps (i.e., maps with semantic labels such as object names), the robot may encounter unexpected objects of which it has no knowledge. It will lead to inevitable failures in traditional environment modeling software. the abundant knowledge being accumulated on the Internet has the potential to assist robots to handle such kind of uncertainty. However, existing researches have not touched this issue yet. this paper proposes a cloud-based semantic mapping engine named SemaCloud, which can not only augment robot's environment modeling capability by the rich cloud resources but also cope with uncertainty by utilizing the Internet knowledge on necessary. It adopts a state-of-art Deep Neural Network (DNN) for real-time and accurate recognition of pre-trained objects. If an object is beyond the knowledge of this DNN, a special mechanism named QoS-aware cloud phase transition is triggered to seek help from existing recognition services on the Internet. By a set of carefullydesigned algorithms, it can maximize benefits and minimize the negative impacts on the Quality of Service (QoS) properties of robotic applications, which is essential to many robot scenarios. the experiments on both open datasets and real robots show that our work can handle uncertainty successfully in robotic semantic mapping without sacrificing critical real-time constraints. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.

this paper proposes distributed fuzzy P systems with promoters for multi-microgrids power balance, where the distributed P systems (dP systems) differ from other P systems with the ability to handle distributed input problems, which makes themselves more suitable for solving control problems. To make full use of the advantages of dP systems and provide a research idea for the power balance of multi-microgrids, promoters and fuzzy theory are introduced into dP systems to characterize a large amount of uncertain and inaccurate information. Moreover, the proposed distributed fuzzy P systems with promoters are applied to fulfill the power balance of multi-microgrids. Finally, the power balance in multi-microgrids as well as the balance between the multi-microgrids and their connecting grid is realized by three cases. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2017.

Improved FCM algorithm based on genetic algorithm is used to extract user needs in mobile cloud computing. By using its characteristics of fast clustering, users can be divided into the same category with similar attributes and behavior patterns, and then use the similarity recommendation algorithm, which makes the similar user requests can be quickly responded. this algorithm (GAFCM-CF) is proposed in this paper to solve the problem of mobile cloud user attribute collection and user request processing in small and medium network. At the same time, this paper compares the simulation experiment with the traditional MIN-MIN scheduling algorithm, and verifies the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorithm.

Embedding virtual network requests in an underlying physical infrastructure, the so-called virtual network embedding (VNE) problem, has attracted significant research interests already. A realistic scenario might entail embedding multiple VN requests (MVNE) that arrive simultaneously (batch arrivals). the existing heuristic MVNE approaches neither consider the coordination among multiple VNR embeddings nor embed all the arriving VNRs simultaneously considering the available physical resources. this paper considers the MVNE problem in the scenario where the available physical resources may not be sufficient to satisfy the physical resource demands of all the VNRs in the batch. We explore applying genetic algorithm (GA) to handle the MVNE problem. We propose an algorithm to decide which VNRs could be mapped together. Extensive simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithms in terms of the VN acceptance ratio and the long-term revenue of the service provider.

Exploiting temporal and spatial locality is a way to improve the performance of data compression and deduplication in a storage system. through our evaluation, we find that content level similarity measures such as similar tags of photos have a certain correlation to data compressibility. Raw images with similar tags can be compressed together to get better storage space savings. Furthermore, storing similar raw images together enables rapid data sorting, searching, and retrieval if the images are stored in a distributed and large-scale environment with reduced fragmentation. In this paper, we present the correlation results between content similarity and data compressibility using a dataset built from Flickr. the system design we proposed has been based on the evaluation and it optimizes storage efficiency for Top-N relevant images with the same tag. On one hand, the storage space is saved. On the other hand, the design may accelerate the query performance for Top-N relevance search.

With the rapid development of information technology, the security of massive amounts of digital data has attracted huge attention in recent years. In this paper, we provide an efficient parallel implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm, a widely used symmetrical block encryption algorithm, based on the Sunway TaihuLight. the Sunway TaihuLight is a China's independently developed heterogeneous supercomputer with peak performance over 100 PFlops. We also optimize the parallel implementation of the AES algorithm based on the Sunway TaihuLight to achieve more optimized performance. the optimization of the parallel AES algorithm in a single SW26010 node is provided. Specifically, we expand the scale to 1024 nodes and achieve the throughput of about 63.91 GB/s (511.28 Gbits/s). Our parallel implementation of the AES algorithm has great parallel scalability and the speedup ratio can be very high with the number of nodes increasing.

Word alignment is a basic task in natural language processing and it usually serves as the starting point when building a modern statistical machine translation system. However, the state-of-art parallel algorithm for word alignment is still time-consuming. In this work, we explore a parallel implementation of word alignment algorithm on Graphics Processor Unit (GPU), which has been widely available in the field of high performance computing. We use the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) programming model to re-implement a state-of-the-art word alignment algorithm, called IBM Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm. A Tesla K40M card with 2880 cores is used for experiments and execution times obtained with the proposed algorithm are compared with a sequential algorithm and a multi-threads algorithm on an IBM X3850 server, which has two Intel Xeon E7 CPUs (2.0GHz * 10 cores). the best experimental results show a 16.8-fold speedup compared to the multi-threads algorithm and a 234.7-fold speedup compared to the sequential algorithm.
