Wireless Sensor Networks is extensively used in many of applications related to different fields. Some of those applications deal with confidential and critical data that must be protected from unauthorized access. Some other systems use WSNs that are deployed in very harsh environments with limited energy resources. those systems cannot tolerate network failures that can be caused by network intruders. In this paper, an efficient intrusion detection model is introduced. the model uses intelligent techniques to detect intrusions. Two different architectures are introduced. the first architecture represents the level of sensor node, sink node, and base station. the second architecture represents the levels of sensor and sink nodes. this work proposes two intrusion detection algorithms, one uses a supervised learning mechanism to be used on the level of the sensor node and the other uses an unsupervised learning mechanism to be used on the levels of boththe sink node and base station. the output of the algorithms is a set of detection rules which are structured in the form of binary tree. the introduced algorithms provided a high detection accuracy using less number of selected features, compared to previous work for intrusion detection, which decreases the complexity and the processing time. the proposed learning algorithms used only 10% of the data for training. An enhancement for J48 classification algorithm is also introduced which decreases the size of the algorithm's decision tree and makes it suitable to be used for intrusion detection in WSNs.

Virtualization is the foundation for cloud computing, and the virtualization can not be achieved without software defined, elastic, flexible and scalable virtual layers. Unfortunately, if multiple virtual storage devices are chained together, the system may be subject to severe performance degradation. While the read-ahead (RA) mechanism in storage devices plays a very important role to improve I/O performance, RA may not be effective as expected for multiple virtualization layers, since it is originally designed for one layer only. When I/O requests are passed through a long I/O path, they may trigger a chain reaction and lead to unnecessary data transmission and thus bandwidth waste. In this paper, we study the dynamic behavior of RA through multiple I/O layers and demonstrate that if controlled well, RA can greatly accelerate I/O speed. We present RAFlow, a RA control mechanism, to effectively improve I/O performance by strategically expanding RA window at each layer. Our real-world experiments show that it can achieve 20% to 50% performance improvement in I/O paths with up to 8 virtualized storage devices.

Efficient evaluation of distributed computation on arge-scale data is prominent in modern scientific computation;especially analysis of big data, image processing and data mining applications. this problem is particularly challenging in distributed environments such as campus clusters, grids or clouds on which the basic computation routines are offered as web/cloud services. In this paper, we propose a locality-aware workflow-based solution for evaluation of large-scale matrix expressions in a distributed environment. Our solution is based on automatic generation of BPEL workflows in order to coordinate long running, asynchronous and parallel invocation of services. We optimize the input expression in order to maximize parallel execution of independent operations while reducing the matrix transfer cost to a minimum. Our approach frees the end-user of the system from the burden of writing and debugging lengthy BPEL workflows. We evaluated our solution on realistic mathematical expressions executed on large-scale matrices distributed on multiple clouds.

the daily spoken variety of Arabic is often termed the colloquial or dialect form of Arabic. there are many Arabic dialects across the Arab World and within other Arabic speaking communities. these dialects vary widely from region to region and to a lesser extent from city to city in each region. the dialects are not standardized, they are not taught, and they do not have official status. However they are the primary vehicles of communication (face-to-face and recently, online) and have a large presence in the arts as well. In this paper, we present the first multidialectal Arabic parallel corpus, a collection of 2,000 sentences in Standard Arabic, Egyptian, Tunisian, Jordanian, Palestinian and Syrian Arabic, in addition to English. Such parallel data does not exist naturally, which makes this corpus a very valuable resource that has many potential applications such as Arabic dialect identification and machine translation.

In this work we present a new filtering variant of pseudorandom bit generation which combines a 2-adic Feedback with Carry Shift Register and the Editing bit-search generator, based on I. Erguler and E. Anarim research. the generated algorithm uses dynamic blocks for data encryption. Shrinking the block is necessary if low memory is available. the algorithm divides the data block among the cores (the processors) and every core encrypts part of the data file. We show the advantage of using parallel implementation. the experimental statistical results establish the time difference of performance on serial and parallel encryption. the security of the generated bit streams are proven by using NIST, DIEHARD and ENT testing systems.

the development of annotated corpora is a critical process in the development of speech applications for multiple target languages. While the technology to develop a monolingual speech application has reached satisfactory results (in terms of performance and effort), porting an existing application from a source language to a target language is still a very expensive task. In this paper we address the problem of creating multilingual aligned corpora and its evaluation in the context of a spoken language understanding (SLU) porting task. We discuss the challenges of the manual creation of multilingual corpora, as well as present the algorithms for the creation of multilingual SLU via Statistical Machine Translation (SMT).
