this paper describes a cancellation-free method for obtaining symbolic transmittances of electronic circuits. the method is numerical and is based on the original modification of the Binet-Cauchy theorem, applied to the closed system determinant in two-graph representation of a circuit. We also introduce a new compact notation of symbolic expressions, called the road map.

In this work the algebraic method for optimal transformation of electronic circuit function written in SOE form to the developed form was presented. the method consists of two stages. In the first stage it transforms the initial sequence of expressions (SOE) to the developed form, and then in the second stage optimizes the expressions of relating coefficients of immittance by exclusion the common factors as the SOE auxiliary. the method presented decreases number of so called the "long arithmetical operations " from a dozen to tens percentage. Basing on this method the universal computer program was created. the example illustrating the method presented was also included.

the paper presents some new tearing techniques to systematically formulate the state equations in symbolic normal-form for linear and/or nonlinear time-invariant large-scale analog circuits. the excess elements of the first and of the second kind are unitarily treated in order to allow a symbolic representation of the circuit with a minimum number of state variables. A procedure to reduce the state equation number of each subcircuit is also presented. the order reduction is made using an implicit integration algorithm and eliminating some selected state variables. An example is given to illustrate the decomposition procedure, the assignment of the connection sources and the reduce-order technique.

In this paper we describe an algebraic method for determining the symbolic network functions of large electronic circuits. Our technique is based on a matrix decomposition approach. the matrix decomposition is performed by systematic permutation of the rows and the columns of the sparse fundamental loop matrix (the fundamental cut-set matrix) into a form in which some sets of the rows and the columns are interconnected whereas others are not interconnected. Using a new notation of symbolic expressions, called the road map, we can in this case write the symbolic network functions in the form of the sum of terms that correspond to the blocks and their inter-connections, separately. In many cases, the terms that correspond to the interconnections can be written in the form of the product of the terms that correspond to the interconnected *** very large circuits some of the blocks can be decomposed further by a similar procedure. thus, the method can also generate network functions in the sequence of expressions form.

In this paper, we propose a numerical power estimation technique for register transfer level. this technique allows to estimate the power dissipation of intellectual property (IP) components to their statistical knowledge of the primary inputs/outputs. During power estimation procedure, the sequence of an input stream is generated using input metrics and the numerical macromodel function is used to construct a set of functions that maps the input metrics of a macroblock to its output metrics. then, a Monte Carlo zero delay simulation is performed and power dissipation is predicted by a macromodel function. In experiments with IP macro-blocks, the results are effective and highly correlated, with an average error of 2%. Our model provides accurate power estimation.

A computer analysis PWM dc-dc converters operated in continuous conduction mode CCM is presented. the analysis is based on a linearized small-signal model of the ideal converter switching-cell (ISC), which is used as a sub-circuit inside the computer program. this sub-circuit is composed of controlled voltage and current sources. Parasitic resistances of the converter are kept outside this sub-circuit and this makes the ISC model general and suitable for the analysis of most of the dc-dc PWM power converters. True rms values of the parasitic resistances are considered.A symbolic approach for PWM dc-dc converters analysis, generating the symbolic expressions, root locus and Bode plots of the several network functions, is utilized. Many are the advantages of the proposed method. First, the converter models are generated by the program;moreover the program derives symbolic expressions starting from the circuit scheme and this allows for converter parasitic components to be taken into account with no need to derive cumbersome expressions. Finally a good understanding of the frequency domain behavior of power converters is achieved.
