Experimental Two-dimensional Quantum Walk on a Photonic Chip

Quantum walks, in virtue of the coherent superposition and quantum interference, possess exponential superiority over its classical counterpart in applications of quantum searching and quantum simulation. The quantum enhanced power is highly related to the state space of quantum walks, which can be expanded by enlarging the photon number and/or the dimensions of the evolution network, but the former is considerably challenging due to probabilistic generation of single photons and multiplicative loss. Here we demonstrate a two-dimensional continuous-time quantum walk by using the external geometry of photonic waveguide arrays, rather than the inner degree of freedoms of photons. Using femtosecond laser direct writing, we construct a large-scale three-dimensional structure which forms a two-dimensional lattice with up to 49×49 nodes on a photonic chip. We demonstrate spatial two-dimensional quantum walks using heralded single photons and single-photon-level imaging. We analyze the quantum transport properties via observing the ballistic evolution pattern and the variance profile, which agree well with simulation results. We further reveal the transient nature that is the unique feature for quantum walks of beyond one dimension. An architecture that allows a walk to freely evolve in all directions and a large scale, combining with defect and disorder control, may bring up powerful and versatile quantum walk machines for classically intractable problems. A 5g-Tsn Joint Resource Scheduling Algorithm Based on Optimized Deep Reinforcement Learning Model for Industrial networks

As the rapid advancement of the Industrial Internet of Things (iioT), numerous devices are now being connected to industrial networks through both wired and wireless methods. Massive amounts of data are collected and transmitted, necessitating network communications that ensure bounded latency, low jitter, and maximum throughput. Addressing the scheduling requirements for diverse intelligent services has made the collaboration between fifth-generation (5G) mobile cellular networks and Time-Sensitive networking (TSN) a prominent research topic. Recently, Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithms are commonly employed to tackle scheduling issues within the 5G-TSN architecture. However, there has been insufficient focus on maximizing throughput in multi-user scenarios and on the impact of channel quality indication (CQI) on resource allocation. In this article, we proposed a 5G-TSN joint resource scheduling solution based on an optimized Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) algorithm. This solution aims to provide latency guarantees for time-triggered applications, throughput guarantees for video applications, and to maximize total throughput across 5G and TSN. Additionally, we introduce the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to efficiently utilize the non-Markov CQI. A dynamic MCS-based priority scheme is incorporated into DDPG algorithm, approaching the optimal solution of the objective function with lower computional complexity and higher accuracy. Compared to conventional DDPG-based scheduling methods, the proposed solution shows superior performance in simulations. Results demonstrate that our approach achieves 100% latency reliability for time-triggered flows and improves total throughput by at least 9.16% under varying user ratios and different Gate control List (GCL) configurations within the TSN domain. © 2024, The Authors. all rights reserved.

5g-Rcolab: A System Level Simulator for 5g and Beyond in Rural Areas

This paper describes 5G-RCOLAB, an open source simulation tool for performance evaluation of 5G/6G wireless networks in rural areas. The tool is designed with a layered architecture, based on three modules: (i) a link-level simulator of a communication channel for remote areas, with a mapping Link to System (L2S) interface;(ii) a Long-Term Evolution (LTE)-based physical layer adapted for remote areas, together with a Medium Access control (MAC) layer that includes a novel Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) technique with security features for Byzantine attacks and spectrum usage efficiency;and (iii) an application oriented network layer that emulates the behavior of typical users in rural areas. The tool has the goal to reduce simulation complexity of large scale 5G rural networks and at the same time, to represent coherently the features of the physical and MAC layers, that include new channel models that cover long distances with the use of TV White Spaces (TVWS) in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) bands, as well as novel CSS techniques to improve spectrum efficiency. The 5G-RCOLAB was validated both by field test measurements from a Proof of Concept (PoC) prototype and by the simulation and evaluation of three 5G common core use cases in rural areas. The results show that the 5G-RCOLAB features allow a better evaluation of novel technologies implemented in the physical and MAC layers and provide paths for improvements and deployments of cost effective solutions of 5G in rural or remote areas. © 2023, The Authors. all rights reserved.

信息物理融合系统(Cyber-Physical System,CPS)是集感知、计算、控制及网络通讯于一体的新一代智能系统,因其具有结构网络化、功能模块化、控制智能化等优点,已广泛应用至各行各业,其中CPS与工业控制融合而产生的工业信息物理融合系统(Industry Cyber-Physical System,ICPS),已成为当今工业控制系统的首选架构。然而,ICPS在其发展过程中也面临众多亟待解决的难题,诸如:随着工业网络从相对封闭变得更为开放,网络安全问题变得尤为突出;与传统的工业控制系统相比,虽ICPS网络化、数字化、智能化水平更高,但其工作环境依然较为恶劣,其物理器件的故障问题也不容忽视;此外,ICPS强大的数据感知能力致使终端设备需经网络传输更多的数据,与有限网络资源间的矛盾也日益突出,等等。然而,目前能有效解决上述问题的方法还很有限,为此,本文聚焦于上述问题中时空隐蔽性强且危害大的假数据注入(False Data Inj ection,FDI)攻击和位处恶劣环境的执行器发生的故障,在离散事件触发机制(Discrete Event-Triggered communication Scheme,DETCS)下,对ICPS开展了如下综合安全控制研究:1)针对FDI攻击与执行器故障共存的ICPS,首先,通过综合考虑计算、通讯资源的合理分配与高效利用,以及便于攻击防御策略实施等因素,在DETCS下,构建了 ICPS综合安全控制框架;其次,设计了鲁棒H∞估计器,实现了系统状态、执行器故障及双侧网络FDI攻击的准确估计;接着,基于所得估计结果,设计了对双侧网络FDI攻击采用分离与补偿、对执行器故障采用补偿的综合安全控制策略,同时结合事件触发条件,给出了综合安全控制与通讯的协同设计方法;最后,通过数值算例及四容水箱实例,仿真验证了所提方法的有效性。2)考虑到实际工业控制中,在确保ICPS安全且抗扰的同时,还期望具有更好的动态性能,进一步研究了多目标约束下ICPS综合安全控制与通讯协同设计问题。通过引入α-稳定的概念,分别给出了具有α1-稳定的鲁棒H∞估计器,以及具有α2-稳定的综合安全控制与通讯协同设计方法。在定理推证中,考虑到参数设定法在处理非线性矩阵不等式(Nonlinear Matrix Inequality,NLMI)时的保守性和多目标约束下解空间的缩减问题,采用了具有更少保守性的锥补线性化(Cone Complementary Linearization,CCL)算法,从而增大了解空间、提高了 ICPS控制性能。仿真结果表明,多目标约束与CCL算法结合下设计的鲁棒H∞估计器、综合安全控制器,使得ICPS在安全运行的同时,具有了更优的动态性能。3)进一步考虑更为隐蔽的FDI攻击,首先,从攻击者视角深入分析了隐蔽FDI攻击的实施过程,并给出了依赖系统输出的非线性隐蔽FDI攻击模型描述及其因满足的界限制条件;其次,综合考虑边缘智能设备的计算能力以及对隐蔽FDI攻击的有效防御策略,在DETCS下,重新构建了 ICPS综合安全控制框架;接着,对于非线性隐蔽FDI攻击下的ICPS,通过在智能传感单元引入鲁棒性较强的滑模观测器,分别给出了状态、隐蔽FDI攻击及执行器故障估计方法;再者,采用基于估计、补偿的综合安全控制策略,并结合事件触发条件,给出了综合安全控制与通讯协同设计方法;最后,通过仿真实验验证了所提方法的有效性,结果表明在非线性隐蔽FDI攻击下,采用滑模观测器可得到更为准确的估计结果,因而更利于提升ICPS综合安全控制水平。

Implanted functional electrical stimulation (FES) has been successfully used in a large set of applications linked to organic deficiencies and sensory disabilities. More recent attempts have been made to use implanted FES for movements or functions restoration in para- and quadriplegic patients. Unfortunately, standing and walking still remain unsatisfactory at the moment. Although not optimal, FES systems remain the only products on offer for movement restoration in a daily use context. The main drawbacks of the technique are well known and include insufficient reliability, the complexity of the surgery, limited stimulation selectivity and efficiency, non-physiological recruitment of motor units and the complexity of muscle control. To improve this selectivity, both electrode geometry and current shape have to be explored. A programmable multidimensional stimulus waveform generator provides the opportunity to conduct research on artificial-to-natural interfaces in order to achieve efficient and minimally aggressive activation. Thus, our team has developed a new architecture for advanced implanted FES: we designed and prototyped the basic elements of a network of distributed stimulation and measurement units. We designed the architecture taking into account the a priori constraints and requirements in terms of performance, safety, stimulation sites, as well as diversity in the stimulation profiles to address selectivity issues in nerve fiber recruitment. We choose a power-efficient microstimulator design where the stimulation current generated by a single source is then distributed on the outputs according to programmable ratios. The prototype circuit based on current mirrors guarantees constant ratios between channels all over the dynamic range. It uses a high-voltage technology (0.35 μm AMS HV) and can deal with adaptive power supply up to 20 V.

随着近几年，随着工业信息化进程的快速推进，信息网络和物联网技术在工业控制领域的广泛应用，使得工业控制系统逐渐打破了其以往在物理环境上的封闭性，并且也开始遭受传统的信息网络安全攻击的威胁，零日漏洞。高级持续性攻击等新一代攻击手段的不断涌现，工业控制系统安全逐渐引起了各国人民的高度重视。工业防火墙作为一种有效的安全防护措施，被广泛应用于工控现场以保证自动化生产流程的正常运作。传统防火墙是专家根据经验事先设定好过滤规则，以实现工控系统的安全防护策略，其主要的缺点是，防火墙规则设置的大部分过程，如：数据包类型识别，日志文件分析，学习和规则生成都需要大量专业人士的参与，并且无法抵抗未知的网络攻击，难以适应实时变化的网络需求，因此，对新一代智能防火墙技术的研究应运而生。智能防火墙是传统防火墙技术与机器学习算法相结合的产物，不需要专业的知识储备，更有助于一般化使用，并且具有较好的自适应能力，能够根据对防火墙日志信息的分析，学习出新的防火墙规则集，从而能有效应对新的网络攻击，阻止非法访问。本论文重点研究基于Modbus通信协议的工业防火墙规则自学习算法。本论文首先阐述了工业控制系统体系架构、工控网络面临的安全漏洞，重点分析了Modbus通讯协议存在的设计缺陷和安全问题，详细介绍了防火墙技术的现有研究成果，深入研究了神经网络算法的优势与不足。利用改进的BP神经网络算法，在Linux操作系统下的Netfilter/Iptables框架内设计了一种针对Modbus TCP协议的工业防火墙规则自学习算法。通过神经网络的自学习和自适应能力，建立基于神经网络的防火墙规则自学习模型，使工业防火墙在复杂的工控网络环境中保持较好的适应能力，能根据学习获取新知识，形成新的行为模式，自动生成并更新规则库，减轻了管理员的工作负担，而且能够有效抵御新型未知的网络攻击。本文针对防火墙的性能，设计了测试方案，从规则自学习能力和防火墙整体性能两个方面进行了严格测试。实验结果表明，该系统能有效学习生成新规则，可以有效保障网络内的信息安全，并且防火墙性能也能达到要求

An old saying is, “In the desert, gold is useless and water is priceless.” While water is common on Earth, it is of very high value in space. Science missions to the Moon have provided direct evidence that regions near the lunar poles, which are permanently in shadow, contain substantial concentrations of water ice. On the lunar surface, water itself is critical for human consumption and radiation shielding, but water can also be decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen via electrolysis. The oxygen thus produced can be used for life support, and hydrogen and oxygen can be combusted for rocket propulsion. Due to the Moon's shallow gravity well, its water-derived products can be exported to fuel entirely new economic opportunities in space. This paper is the result of an examination by industry, government, and academic experts of the approach, challenges, and payoffs of a private business that harvests and processes lunar ice as the foundation of a lunar, cislunar (between the Earth and the Moon), and Earth-orbiting economy. A key assumption of this analysis is that all work—construction, operation, transport, maintenance and repair—is done by robotic systems. No human presence is required. Obtaining more data on conditions within the shadowed regions is vital to the design of a lunar ice processing plant. How much water is actually present, and at what percentage in the lunar regolith? How firm or soft are the crater bottoms, and how will that affect surface transportation? How deep is the ice resource, and in what state is it deposited amongst the regolith? These and other questions must be answered by precursor prospecting and science missions. A wide range of potential customers for the hydrogen and oxygen products has been identified. 近年来，为了满足个性化产品制造等要求，欧美等制造业发达国家相继提出了发展新型制造生产模式，推进制造业升级的战略，其中，具有典型代表性和广泛影响力的是德国政府提出的“工业4.0”战略。以“工业4.0”为代表的新型制造生产模式需要对现有工业控制系统进行横向集成和纵向集成，对现有层次化的工业控制网络架构提出新的挑战。现有工业控制网络局域、封闭的现状无法满足新型制造生产模式的要求，因此需要新一代工业控制网络。经过对现有工业网络和新型制造生产模式的分析，新一代工业控制网络的需求和特点包括支持生产装备的模块化、移动化和即插即用，支持基于IP的扁平化互联，支持基于web的灵活互操作等三个方面。国内外在这一领域投入了很大的研究力量，比如国际自动化学会ISA的ISA100.15工作组，欧盟框架计划IoT@work，IEEE的802.1Time-Sensitive networking工作组等，都进行了前瞻性的研究，指出了工业控制网络未来的发展方向，但具体的技术仍不成熟，需要进一步研究和探讨。\n SDN(Software Defined networking)的想法最早由斯坦福大学在Sigcomm2007提出，近年来逐渐受到学术界和产业界的极大关注。SDN具有集中式全局优化、细粒度的流量区分、统一的管理接口和网络在线可编程等特点，适合作为工业控制网络的基础架构。但当前的SDN技术和设备主要是面向商用的数据中心和园区网，对工业控制网络中最关心的实时性保障方面没有针对性的研究，因此本文首先会研究工业SDN控制网络架构，探讨工业SDN的运行机制。\n 为了对多个工业控制应用的业务流在工业控制网络上的时延进行确定性定量分析，本文使用网络演算对工业控制网进行建模和分析;对工业应用产生的数据流具有关联性的特点，对数据流之间的相互关系进行了细粒度的描述;对有线和无线交换机对数据包不同的处理模式，分别构建了其交换模型;针对网络演算模型解算复杂的问题，设计了基于仿射曲线的模型解算方法，能够快速对模型进行计算，提高了模型的可用性。\n 在模型的基础上，针对现有以太网静态优先级调度方式粒度过粗的问题，提出一种基于SDN的工业控制网络动态优先级调度架构，支持细粒度的实时性调度;该调度算法的特点是改变最小化时延的调度目标，提出以时延保障为约束，最小化网络资源使用的动态调度方法，调度方法使用基于网络演算的网络模型，该模型在时延上界的刻画方面更加精确;引入了网络演算最小加卷积的使调度方法的复杂性大大提高，本文使用仿射变换的方法将基于最小加卷积的NP优化问题转化成基于普通加法的动态优化问题，使调度算法能够在多项式时间内完成。\n 针对工业测控应用SOA化、web化的发展趋势，提出了基于SDN的工业消息总线服务中间件，对其中的Pub/Sub路由与网络、计算资源调度进行了深入的分析，指出了路由与调度间复杂的耦合关系，给出了形式化的描述;针对该问题，提出了基于蚁群算法的优化方法，该方法通过蚁群算法正反馈的原理将路由与调度进行分离，调度的结果以信息素更新的方式反馈到路由过程中，避免了过多的优化参数;将蚁群算法中蚂蚁进行路径选择的参数适时的进行进化，避免进入局部最优解;在信息素更新的过程中，结合了以最小化整体代价为目标的启发式算法，使蚁群的收敛方向更有指向性，加快收敛速度。\n 最后，提出了工业SDN的指标体系，用于评价工业SDN网络交换机和控制器。针对Openflow标准协议无法满足工业实时的要求的现状，给出了Openflow协议在工业场景中的协议扩展方案，研制了工业SDN交换机实现实时调度方法，在可重构智能制造演示示范线上进行了实验验证。
