Fault isolation for nonlinear dynamic systems has been receiving significant attention. Existent methods pay few attention at fault isolation speed. The assistance of a decision support system becomes necessary for the real-time traffic management of the public transport networks since the size of the search space increases exponentially with the number of vehicles, or stops. This paper deals with the real-time regulation of Traffic within a disrupted transportation system. We present an approach of ant colony optimization for the rescheduling of multimodal transport networks. It is an adaptation of the passage time of vehicles by the various stops, in the case of a disturbance. A regulated timetable is proposed as solution where we assure the three most important criteria of regulation which are the punctuality, the regularity and the correspondence

This paper proposes a 3D graphics simulation environment for the analysis and design evaluation of a layout reconfiguration process of the reconfigurable manufacturing system (RMS). Manufacturing cells (MCs) in the RMS are positioned to minimize a total distance of transport paths for a given manufacturing layout. After the end of current manufacturing process, the MCs start to move to each position in the optimal layout of next manufacturing process. The positioning and timing of the MCs in the reconfiguration process were designed by a reconfigurable process design method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO). From the simulation results, the effectiveness of the reconfiguration process design method based on PSO was confirmed

An adaptive low complexity lossless segment (context) based color image compression method is proposed by this paper. First, adaptive context based dividing for an image is conducted to find optimal fixed length codes that are used for storing relative values of every pixel in each segment of the image and the length for each segment by a modified greedy algorithm. Then a modified Huffman coding is applied for the result of the first compression. The complexity of the first compression for the developed method is O(n). The developed method was tested by a typical set of natural images. For some type of images, the compression ratios are very high

Collaborative product, development and in-house process design have been largely studied since several years giving industrialists methods such as concurrent engineering (CE), integrated product development (IPD) or dynamic product development (DPD). However, regarding rapid growth of supply chains and their impacts on firms' functions, simultaneous design of innovative product and network of collaborators, called here the co-design paradigm, seems to be a niche of efficiency and robustness for firms. This paper gives a deterministic controller design approach for a class of multiple-time-scale Markov jumping linear systems, which admit strong ill-conditioned dynamics. The proposed deterministic controller do not use the jumping mode information, and therefore is very useful in some cases when the jumping information is unavailable. The design procedure reduces to solving a set of bilinear matrix inequalities, which is an NP-hard problem. Therefore, we propose a homotopy algorithm to solve it and obtain the feasible solutions. The numerical examples show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The new stake in design today is to examine the global purpose of the design activities. In this perspective, project design management not only consists in allocating resources but also in stimulating collaboration among the actors involved in the project. Objective is to increase the performance of design teams. In this paper, we focus on factors influencing performance of the design process. Elements of the design performance are identified and an integrated product-process-organisation model is developed to manage design process. UML models of a prototype of software integrating this model to help decision makers and an example of specific GUI are also provided

The global identical sliding mode was proposed which can make the system state converge to equilibrium from any initial state in the given finite time. And for the common terminal sliding mode, the more far away the initial state from equilibrium, the more time it takes to converge the system state to equilibrium. So the method proposed in our paper have the better effect and less time. Finally, the method is use in the control of a class of unified synchronous chaotic system. Simulation result shows the perfect effect compared with the traditional sliding mode method
