Given the shortcomings of the traditional Golden Jackal Optimization (GJO) algorithm, including limited accuracy and slow convergence speed in solving mobile robot path planning problems, an improved adaptive Golden Jackal Optimization (IAGJO) method is proposed. Firstly, a nonlinear adaptive energy strategy is presented to adjust the energy decay pattern, balancing global and local search. Secondly, an enhanced position update mechanism based on Cauchy and Gaussian mutation increases population diversity and guide the search based on optimal individuals, thereby facilitating efficient exploration of unknown regions and avoiding local optima. Finally, the IAGJO algorithm is applied to mobile robot path planning (MRPP), demonstrating that the IAGJO achieves shorter path lengths and higher search efficiency, exhibiting significant advantages over existing methods. © 2025 SPIE.

As the carrier of information assets, the importance of accounting information systems is increasing with the development of informatization. Meanwhile, information systems are facing more security threats. How to effectively ensure the security of information systems and prevent information assets from being stolen or damaged has become an inevitable challenge. Therefore, conducting research on the security issues of information systems is of great significance. In response to the data security risks in accounting information systems, this article first establishes a risk indicator system and proposes an information system risk assessment model based on adaptive fuzzy neural networks, which scores the risk indicator attributes during the assessment process. In addition, we propose a fine-grained weight adaptive adjustment algorithm in the model, which provides a quantitative method for the risk indicators of accounting information systems. The feasibility and applicability of the model have been verified through simulation testing. © 2025 SPIE.

This report summarizes our research on three optical sensing systems utilizing high-speed fiber Bragg grating (FBG) demodulation. We introduce a fiber optic ring laser strain sensing system with adaptive two-wave mixing interferometric demodulation, eliminating the need for static strain and temperature compensation, demonstrating exceptional sensitivity and multiplexing in dynamic strain measurements. Additionally, we present an FBG sensor array demodulated by a fiber Fabry-Perot etalon for precise impact localization using time-frequency wavelet analysis and triangulation. Lastly, we propose a dynamic strain detection system with a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA)-fiber ring laser and arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) demodulator, offering precise response to high-frequency signals for structural health monitoring. These findings emphasize the potential of high-speed FBG demodulation in enhancing optical sensing systems for high-sensitivity dynamic strain detection, crucial for structural health and impact localization monitoring. © 2025 SPIE.

As a similarity measure for complex random variables, the complex correntropy algorithms have received much attention for their robustness in the face of non-Gaussian disturbances. However, since the existing relevant studies mainly focus on the complex correntropy of Gaussian kernels with a single kernel, this greatly limits the flexibility of correntropy. In order to improve the flexibility of correntropy, this paper proposes a fixed-point maximum complex correntropy adaptive filtering algorithm with variable shape parameter (VSPMCCC-FP) in the kernel function, in which the shape parameter varies with the change of the real part of the system error. Then we analyze the stability of the proposed algorithm. Finally, we test the performance of the proposed algorithm in a system identification scenario, and the results show that the VSPMCCC-FP algorithm has faster convergence performance and lower steady-state misalignment than other competing algorithms. © 2025 SPIE.

This study explores the use of FPGA-based adaptive Reed-Solomon (RS) coding and decoding techniques in atmospheric laser communication systems. By simulating an indoor turbulence tank channel, the research identifies optimal RS parameters and develops a dynamic switching mechanism for real-time parameter adjustment. The experimental findings highlight that adaptively selecting appropriate values for the RS code parameters (n, k) can significantly mitigate bit error rates (BER) and improve system performance across varying channel conditions. In particular, the analysis reveals that increased received optical power effectively reduces BER, while higher transmission rates exacerbate BER under adverse channel conditions. The results also emphasize that adaptive parameter tuning becomes increasingly vital at higher transmission rates and in challenging environments, substantially enhancing the system’s reliability and stability. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Lane detection and tracking technologies play a crucial role in advancing autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). However, the existing methods struggle to achieve accurate detection across diverse environments. In this study, we proposed an adaptive lane detection and tracking algorithm based on the vanishing point. Initially, the edges of the lane lines were extracted using the ROI and 2D-FIR filter. Next, the vanishing point of the image is detected using Gabor filters, and adaptive inverse perspective transformation is achieved through coordinate conversion. Eventually, the detection of lane lines through the dynamic sliding window is attained by introducing the spatio-temporal sequence module, while tracking is performed with the adaptive Kalman filter by leveraging the lane width constraint. The method was tested on our dataset, which covers seven different environments and comprises over 4644 frames. The experimental results demonstrate that the accuracy of the detection is 92.9% and the center offset is close to 5.4 pixels. © 2025 SPIE.

How to accurately acquire and track the positions of multiple vehicles in a traffic system is a challenging problem. Especially in the clustering detection problem, the uncertainty of vehicle states (including number, spatial location, etc.) in traffic scenarios leads to the fact that the predefined single clustering condition cannot match the variable clustering scenarios, which causes serious distortion of clustering results. As a result, this paper proposes a scene-adaptive multi-target clustering algorithm for millimeter-wave radar point cloud data, where spatial dimension is proposed to be clustered with density eigenvalues, and speed dimension fast clustering is carried out in a single frame based on sorted difference, and then fusion correction is made to the results of the two clusters by using the simulated spindle to solve the difficulties in obtaining the multi-target adaptive clustering conditions of the road as well as the problem of over-segmentation of the clusters of some large targets. The algorithm firstly, calculates the adaptive threshold of the original radar data set. Then, a density-based spatial clustering algorithm (DBSCAN) is used to perform primary clustering and outlier removal on the radar data, and secondary clustering in the velocity dimension. Finally, the spindle fusion clustering algorithm is applied to fuse the two clustering results. The proposed algorithm is experimentally validated using data collected from a 77 GHz TI AWR1843 radar platform. The algorithm experimental improves results the clustering show thataccuracy the improved by about 17.48% compared to the conventional DBSCAN algorithm in traffic multi-target scenarios. © 2025 SPIE ·

adaptive optics (AO) is an important method of wavefront correction and compensation for atmospheric turbulence. In AO systems, deformable mirror (DM) control commonly uses a proportional-integral (PI) controller. However, factors such as sensor noise and image processing delays limit the improvement of system bandwidth. For complex frequency aberrations caused by changes in the optical system's working environment, mechanical vibrations of the optical platform, and wind-induced jitter, the PI controller struggles to provide effective correction. This paper proposes a high-bandwidth deformable mirror control algorithm (BFPI-Smith) based on a biquad filter and Smith predictor. To address inherent system delays, a Smith predictor is introduced on top of the PI control to compensate for delays and improve the system's control bandwidth. For high temporal frequency narrowband aberrations, their spectral characteristics are first measured and analyzed to obtain frequency and amplitude information at the narrowband points. Then, the parameters of the biquad filter are designed to enhance the system's ability to suppress high-frequency narrowband aberrations. In deformable mirror control simulation experiments, the proposed method increased the system's control bandwidth to 3.75 times that of the PI control. Under the same control bandwidth, the system's ability to suppress high-frequency narrowband aberrations was significantly enhanced compared to the PI-Smith control method. © 2025 SPIE.

With the rapid increase of signal spectrum width, wideband spectrum sensing and signals detection face significant challenges, where wideband array technology plays an important role in system design and signal processing. To address the issues of reduced main lobe gain and increased side lobes in the beamforming pattern of wideband antenna arrays, an optimization method for sparse array antennas is proposed in this paper. An adaptive genetic algorithm-based wideband array optimization method is proposed to optimize the sparse array antennas efficiently. Compared with traditional genetic algorithm, this method minimizes peak sidelobe level and main lobe width as constraint, updates crossover and mutation probabilities, avoids getting stuck in local optima, and adaptively optimizes element positions. The optimized array configuration aims to ensure that the main lobe width is minimized while minimizing the peak sidelobe level. Simulation results show that, compared to the optimized array by conventional genetic algorithm, the optimized array configuration reduces the peak sidelobe level by about 1dB in both high and low frequency bands of wideband signals, while maintaining the main lobe half power beamwidth basically unchanged. © 2025 SPIE.
