Evaporator is widely used in chemical industry, food, pharmaceutical and environmental protection industries. In this paper, the process flow of the Evaporator is comprehensively analyzed. According to the characteristics of the controlled object, a complete control scheme for the outlet flow, liquid level, and temperature of the Evaporator is designed. Due to the large hysteresis in the temperature control of the Evaporator, the predictive control algorithm is used in this system. Finally, this paper takes the SMPT-1000 as the object, Siemens PCS7 as the control tool, and the control system configuration is designed by CFC and SFC, WinCC is used as the configuration software of the upper computer. The semi-physical simulation experiment shows that the designed processcontrol system optimized by the predictive control algorithm is stable and has strong anti-interference ability. At the same time, the control requirements are realized, the feasibility of the control strategy and scheme designed in this paper is verified.

Tighter discharge permits often require wastewater treatment plants to maximize utilization of available facilities in order to cost-effectively reach these goals. Important aspects are minimizing internal disturbances and using available information in a smart way to improve plant performance. In this study, flow control throughout a large highly automated wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was implemented in order to reduce internal disturbances and to provide a firm foundation for more advancedprocesscontrol. A modular flow control system was constructed based on existing instrumentation and soft sensor flow models. Modules were constructed for every unit process in water treatment and integrated into a plantwide model. The flow control system is used to automatically control recirculation flows and bypass flows at the plant. The system was also successful in making accurate flow estimations at points in the plant where it is not possible to have conventional flow meter instrumentation. The system provides fault detection for physical flow measuring devices. The module construction allows easy adaptation for new unit processes added to the treatment plant.

Automated testing is an approach to transforming human-driven testing behavior into automated machine execution, which can perform many tests that are difficult or impossible to achieve by manual testing. Due to complex business, tight coupling, strict timing, and a large amount of data exchange, many equipment software cannot be tested by manual testing. Developing dedicated test tools is costly, time-consuming, and requires advanced programming knowledge. That poses a significant challenge for testers with limited programming skills. To this end, we propose a hybrid-driven automated testing approach. We design and realize a test automation platform based on the ideas of data-driven and keyword-driven testing. We also design configuration rules and implement them in this platform. With this platform, testers only need to focus on business analysis and make simple configurations to conduct automated testing for complex process equipment software. There is no need to develop dedicated test tools or write test scripts, which reduces the technical threshold for automated testing. Application results indicate that our approach can perform more business scenarios than manual testing and physical testing. Compared with conventional automated testing approaches, ours does not require testers to have programming skills. It is simple to use, easy to maintain, and extensible.

A rapid prototyping solution for advanced flight control algorithms of our autopilot is presented. Furthermore, the flight test system from theory to actual flight is developed to narrow the gap between the theory and the practice. Firstly, how to build the system structure and development process is introduced. Secondly, the autopilot which is capable of controlling multiple vehicle types from open source is selected and improved. Then the ability to conduct tests in software and hardware in the loop has been developed, to enable safe testing of algorithms, which will speed up the development process. Consequently, in the simulation, the autopilot passing the validation can be directly moved on to the UAV with little code and parameter modification. Finally, the process from simulations to actual flight test is performed and the results illustrate that the method of rapid prototyping design reduces the workload significantly, and can be used to shorten the development cycle.

This paper introduces a guidance, which is displayed by a flow chart, for the process reliability data comparison of advanced semiconductor technologies. The present semiconductor manufacturing process is very complex and its quality control requirement also becomes more and more strict. Different reliability data may analyzed by different methods considering both engineering and statistical evidence so we can best assess process reliability performance not only considering the lifetime requirements. Engineering comparison method is based on fitting the reliability data with proper distribution or lifetime model and comparing the lifetime at a specified condition with 95% confidence band. We apply F-T test for two groups data and one-way ANOVA for multi-groups statistical comparisons. Practical examples are given to illustrate our proposed guidance flow.

This work integrates fundamental models and metrology sensors with state-of-the-art estimation and model-predictive control techniques in order to regulate overlay photo-lithography errors. Fundamental overlay models are presented that describe the relationship between the photo-lithography steppers and the metrology sensors. A Kalman filter is employed that utilizes the process model and the sensor model and automatically estimates uncertain states given metrology measurements. A model-predictive controller is employed that is very effective in rejecting disturbances in the overlay process, such as tool drift and model mismatch. All overlay errors have been driven to zero +/- the measurement variance of the metrology tool. This level of control is achieved for every tool-device-layer-reticle combination.
