This paper describes the development of a run-to-run control algorithm using a feedforward neural network, trained using the backpropagation training method. The algorithm is used to predict the critical dimension of the next lot using previous lot information. It is compared to a common prediction algorithm - the exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) and is shown to give superior prediction performance in simulations. The manufacturing implementation of the final neural network showed significantly improved process capability when compared to the case where no run-to-run control was utilised.

Modern industries are investing in advanced imaging technology to increase information visibility, address system complexity, and improve quality and integrity of complex systems. The proliferation of high-dimensional images pose significant challenges on traditional and next-generation innovation practices for process monitoring and control in manufacturing and healthcare. Traditional statistical processcontrol (SPC) is not concerned with imaging data but key product or process characteristics, and is limited in its ability to readily address complex structures of high-dimensional imaging profiles. Realizing the full potential of advanced imaging technology for process monitoring and control hinges on the development of new SPC methodologies. This paper presents a novel dynamic network methodology for monitoring and control of high-dimensional imaging streams. Experimental results on biomanufacturing and machining imaging profiles show that the proposed approach not only captures complex image structures but also provides an effective online control charts for monitoring image profiles. New dynamic network monitoring schemes are shown to have strong potentials to be generally applicable to research problems in diverse fields with image profiles.

In view of the high requirements for valve control accuracy and stability in industrial processcontrol, Aiming at the high requirements for valve control accuracy and stability in industrial processcontrol, a valve opening control scheme based on variable universe fuzzy auto disturbance rejection is proposed. Use AMESim and Simulink for joint simulation. First, build the controlled object model in AMESim, and then import the established controlled object model into the Simulink module of the active disturbance rejection control system. The expansion factor is introduced to improve the fuzzy control performance. Through fuzzy control Set the parameters of auto disturbance rejection controller. The simulation results show that the variable universe fuzzy auto-disturbance rejection controller has strong anti-interference ability and good adaptability, can quickly and stably reach the preset control opening, and can achieve precise and stable control of the valve opening.

To increase the biogas production, the anaerobic digestion process requires advancedcontrol tools. However, in order to achieve an advancedcontrol of the anaerobic digestion process, two constraints must be taken into account: the need for available plants for experimentation and the need to reduce costs. In this paper, it is proposed to develop a test platform for the anaerobic digestion process using the Hardware in the Loop Simulations principle. The emulation of the anaerobic digestion process is ensured by a computer that communicates with a data acquisition board, and the processcontrol is ensured by a Programable Logic controller. Such a platform is effective because it allows testing in extreme situations, which in the case of environmental processes is very difficult. The platform also includes a cloud computing component for advanced data processing.

Knowledge-based processcontrol integrates advanced sensors with tool and process models for enhanced fault detection and classification (FDC) performance. Rather than use a statistical or template-based control model, the knowledge-based approach is constructed around core information extracted from the process itself The approach uses data from an advanced sensor that is known to be tool and process sensitive. In this way, the process itself does much of the data compression, rather than having to rely on statistical algorithms compiled from the tool inputs. Because it works with a knowledge of the tool itself, built through observations of the sensor data as systematic changes are made to tool and process conditions, data is used to construct a fault library upon which the FDC engine is based. A fundamental tool/process health indicator reports any excursions that match those in the library. The fault is detected and classified in real time.

A vision control is a method to track the position of the object. With a wireless communication the data transmission between devices becomes easier. This paper presents the mechanical and electrical design, manufacturing and assembly process, measurement and characterization process of mobile microrobots with vision control system. The purpose of this paper is to provide a robot that is controlled by vision control system. The robots consist of two wheels which move independently and the robots are equipped with wifi to receive the command data from web server. The result of this study is a comparison of the actual data and the desired position using the vision control system. The result shows that the robots have a 4.01 mm of accuracy.
