Robots have been assisting humans for many years, especially in environments where human interventions are unallowed. Under such circumstances, only robots can safely perform tasks via master-controlled tele-operation. However, the dexterity of the robotic manipulation has remained a challenge and has to be improved using haptic feedback. This work aims to address the gaps in providing dexterous manipulations in current tele-robotic systems, where efforts have been more focused on improving commercially viable haptic feedback devices. This paper proposes a novel haptic system with advanced force-sensing capabilities that can measure the forces exerted by a robot onto an object during a particular manipulation. At the same time, a tactile piezoelectric stimulator delivers an analogous tactile signal (in the form of mechanical vibrations) back to the operator to control the dexterity of the operation. To mimic the sensing functionality of the human skin, multilayered pressure sensors with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) based cones and porous structures were optimized to be used for applications where the tele-operation involves interactions with a broad range of the applied pressures of 0 - 375 kPa. It was observed that as the pressure exerted by the robot gripper increased from 0 to 375 kPa (when gripping different loads), the voltage delivered by the readout module (designed as a Sallen-Key filter) to the microcontroller decreased from 3 V to 1.1 V, which is then translated to an increased tactile vibration frequency from 10 Hz to 300 Hz. © 2023 IEEE.

Passive-Infrared (PIR) sensors have traditionally been used as motion detectors, but their effectiveness is restricted by a small area of coverage and an inability to discern between the presence and absence of living beings. As a result, they frequently require user-adjusted cut-off timers for simple automation jobs. While there are other ways to detect human presence, they are either more expensive to deploy or more invasive. But this picture has completely changed with the introduction of contemporary mm Wave Smart sensors that use Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar technology. These advanced sensors offer precise differentiation between the presence and absence of living beings, ushering in a myriad of new applications. Notably, they remain unaffected by varying lighting conditions, inclement weather, or dust, ensuring consistent performance across diverse environments. Moreover, certain models of these smart sensors boast capabilities for non-contact and non-intrusive monitoring of human vital parameters, further expanding their utility. These smart sensors' digital tunability, which makes it simple for loT developers to adjust complex parameters, is one of their main advantages. This increases their adaptability and simplifies their integration with other apps and systems. In terms of environmental sensing and human presence detection, mmWave Smart sensors mark a substantial advancement because to their increased performance, dependability, and versatility. Their widespread use is expected to spur innovation in a variety of sectors, including healthcare and home automation, and will usher increased comfort, safety, security and efficiency.

The ability for a moving agent to localize itself in environment is the basic demand for emerging applications, such as autonomous driving, etc. Many existing methods based on multiple sensors still suffer from drift. We propose a scheme that fuses map prior and vanishing points from images, which can establish an energy term that is only constrained on rotation, called the direction projection error. Then we embed these direction priors into a visual-LiDAR SLAM system that integrates camera and LiDAR measurements in a tightly-coupled way at backend. Specifically, our method generates visual reprojection error and point to Implicit Moving Least Square(IMLS) surface of scan constraints, and solves them jointly along with direction projection error at global optimization. Experiments on KITTI, KITTI-360 and Oxford Radar Robotcar show that we achieve lower localization error or Absolute Pose Error (APE) than prior map, which validates our method is effective.

This work reports the first CMOS molecular electronics chip. It is configured as a biosensor, where the primary sensing element is a single molecule "molecular wire " consisting of a similar to 100 G omega, 25 nm long alpha-helical peptide integrated into a current monitoring circuit. The engineered peptide contains a central conjugation site for attachment of various probe molecules, such as DNA, proteins, enzymes, or antibodies, which program the biosensor to detect interactions with a specific target molecule. The current through the molecular wire under a dc applied voltage is monitored with millisecond temporal resolution. The detected signals are millisecond-scale, picoampere current pulses generated by each transient probe-target molecular interaction. Implemented in a 0.18 mu m CMOS technology, 16k sensors are arrayed with a 20 mu m pitch and read out at a 1 kHz frame rate. The resulting biosensor chip provides direct, real-time observation of the single-molecule interaction kinetics, unlike classical biosensors that measure ensemble averages of such events. This molecular electronics chip provides a platform for putting molecular biosensing "on-chip " to bring the power of semiconductor chips to diverse applications in biological research, diagnostics, sequencing, proteomics, drug discovery, and environmental monitoring.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors can not only measure ECG signals in real-time but also predict the likelihood of future cardiac conditions. However, current ECG monitors have limitations such as high costs, large size, cumbersome operation, and limited application scenarios, which restrict their use in everyday life. To address these issues, this paper studies ECG signals and noise, and designs a portable on-line ECG monitor based on the STM32 microcontroller. The ECG data acquisition sensor used is the AD8232, and a median filter is applied to process the collected ECG signals. The median filter model which is most suitable for ECG filtering is designed, and the analysis of variance is designed to evaluate the filtering effect. The monitor displays ECG waveforms on its built-in LCD screen and features a SYN6288 voice broadcasting chip for audio output. The monitor also employs a Mini SD card for data storage and is equipped with an HC-05 Bluetooth module for data transmission. The designed monitor has a compact area of only $70 \mathbf{~ c m}^{2}$, offering low cost, portability, high-precision measurement, and real-time data transmission, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

Traffic accidents are a serious problem worldwide, resulting in thousands of lives lost and millions injured every year. One of the greatest causes of accidents is driver negligence in maintaining a safe distance between vehicles. This research was performed to develop an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) system capable of real-time measurement of the distances between vehicles and objects or from vehicles in front on a mobile application that can provide warnings when such distances become too small. This system is a simplified version of expensive sensors or lidars, which are difficult to integrate into vehicles. The system uses the YOLOv5 model to detect and identify vehicles using a smartphone camera. The YOLOv5 model training resulted in a mean average precision (mAP) value of 90%, indicating high object detection capability. The system was integrated into a mobile application to enable real-time vehicle detection. Tests showed that the system could detect and identify vehicles as well as predict the distance between vehicles with an accuracy of 94.08%. This research showed that the system can replace both sensors and lidar for measuring the distances to objects in front of a vehicle in real-time using only a smartphone.

With the high convergence of communication systems and radar systems in hardware and information processing, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) technology has been proposed as a new research hotspot. It is not only effectively utilizing limited resources, but also communication function and sensing function can help each other to achieve integration gain. It is foreseeable that ISAC will play an important role in the next-generation wireless networks like 6G or 5G-advanced. This paper first introduces the concept of ISAC technology and introduces the types of working model. Next, several different practical application scenarios are discussed, and three stages of ISAC systems are further introduced. Finally, ISAC faces challenges such as selfinterference, Hash rate or signal detection are introduced, and this paper also provides several possible research directions for solve these challenges. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the overall framework of ISAC and point out the parts worthy of further exploration. We hope that this paper will help researchers who want to researching ISAC technology.

Medicines are a very important part of lives of human beings. Not only now but from a thousand years ago. This paper tries to represent how various sensors are used in medical science Organ transplants, microsurgery, etc. are running successfully with the use of biosensors. In this work the impact of the use of various biosensors on human body is taken in to account. Multiple and mass transfer of magnetic particles and effect if infrared microscopy in the application of biosensors is considered taken in to account after covid 19.

Agriculture can be transformed into smart agriculture due to the advanced wireless network and the Internet of Things (IoT). As the human population increases, so does the demand for crops. With real-time monitoring, a smart agriculture system's awareness of soil moisture measurement, humidity, and environmental temperature will increase food security. In addition, smart agriculture can increase crop yield, reduce water waste, and boost productivity. In light of this, this study proposes smart agriculture, which employs sensor-based monitoring in real-time without human intervention. Users have direct access to real-time data, and all sensor data is recorded and monitored at all times and from anywhere within the internet's coverage area. The development of a mobile application facilitates growth monitoring and user access to data. This research measures yield-affecting agricultural factors such as soil moisture, humidity, and temperature. Nonetheless, monitoring environmental factors is crucial to increasing crop yields. The experiment was conducted on two chili plants, one with an automation system and one without, which were manually watered once daily at 7:00 a.m. It is estimated that the plant with the system can maintain the optimal moisture level, whereas the other plant's moisture measurement continues to decrease. Compared to manual watering, automatic watering also results in accelerated plant growth. Consequently, a smart agriculture system is anticipated to improve plant growth and system efficiency. © 2022 IEEE.
