The utilization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has revolutionized numerous industries, with navigation being a crucial factor in ensuring their operational success. This literature review examines the subject of UAV navigation, discussing fundamental concepts, GPS-denied challenges, and cutting-edge technologies. The review commences with an explanation of the basic principles of UAV navigation, including the employment of IMUs, GPS, LiDAR, and Stereo Vision systems. A dedicated section then delves into the challenges posed by GPS-denied environments, emphasizing the importance of GPS in navigation and exploring alternative approaches. The subsequent sections investigate advanced navigation technologies, such as INS/IMU, Multi-sensor Fusion, and AI applications. In a democratic society, public legal awareness is crucial for empowering citizens with knowledge of their rights and obligations. However, the vast complexity and volume of legal information can make it difficult for non-experts to access and understand their legal standing. This paper explores the development and deployment of AI-driven chatbot systems aimed at enhancing public legal literacy. These systems leverage advanced computing techniques, including natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms, to process legal queries and deliver personalized legal information to users in real time. The architecture, scalability, and implementation challenges of deploying these chatbots across diverse communication platforms (e.g., web, mobile) are examined. Additionally, the paper addresses the potential of these systems to bridge the gap in legal knowledge for underserved populations and discusses the importance of real-time communication technologies for ensuring effective system performance. Finally, the paper explores future advancements to further integrate AI and communication technologies for widespread legal literacy. © 2024 IEEE.

In this work, we present a method for MultiObject Tracking (MOT) that uses unsynchronized multimodal detections from a configurable set of sensors such as cameras, radars and lidars. All the information is processed from the sensors with modality-specific detectors and then combined in the MOT module that incorporates a Kalman filter and tracklet management logic. To be able to deploy our system in real-world driving applications, we handle localization errors, misclassifications and partial bounding-box detections from the object detector in the MOT module. We show promising results and compare them with respect to competing approaches in two challenging real-world scenarios, including a traffic jam chauffeur as well as a traffic monitoring application on highways.

The increasing demand for efficient and reliable gas sensors has propelled the exploration of novel materials and advanced simulation techniques. This study presents the design and development of a gas sensor that detects acetone using molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as the sensing material. Acetone is a major volatile organic compound that has applications in a variety of industries, including healthcare and environmental monitoring. Acetone gas is a respiratory symptom that indicates diabetes. The high sensitivity, stability and cost of MoS2 make it a good sensor material. The sensor design involves the integration of MoS2 thin films onto a substrate, with interdigitated electrodes facilitating the detection mechanism. COMSOL Multiphysics, a versatile simulation software, is employed to model the sensor's performance under different operating conditions and geometrical configurations. The simulation framework incorporates electrochemical processes, mass transport phenomena, and electrical properties to accurately represent the sensor's *** was found that the resistance of the sensor layer was reduced in the presence of acetone gas. The simulation was carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a combination of Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to create a hybrid optimization technique which meets k-coverage criteria in Wireless sensor Network (WSN) and Internet of Things (IoT). The goal of this approach is to increase the coverage area alongside minimizing the deployment cost of the sensors. Another aim is to reduce the power consumption. This technique is helpful to determine the optimal position of the sensors. It helps to ensure that each target point in the network is getting the coverage of at least k sensors. In this way we can enhance the reliability and robustness of the network. From experimental results, we can conclude that with optimal sensor utilization and minimized redundancy, our proposed approach achieves 97.14% coverage ratio with k-coverage equals 3. According to performance metrics, it is clear that there is consistent energy efficiency through the cycles. The approach converges in less than 3 second. So, this approach is applicable for real time applications. It is a hybrid metaheuristic approach which is very efficient in managing various challenges associated with sensor deployment. From this approach we can get solutions of coverage enhancement, energy efficiency and improved sensor utilization. © 2025 IEEE.

Currently, several studies are being developed using machine Learning with the aim of replacing real sensors with virtual sensors. One of the biggest challenges is obtaining quality data to enable the system modeling. This article proposes the replacement of a light dependent resistor sensor, applied to a refrigerator, which detects whether the door is open or closed and an anomaly test when the door is forgotten open for too long. The use of tiny machine learning is applied to ESP32 to enable the use of regression and classification models to detect the door opening and anomaly. The tested metrics for the regression were the root mean squared error. The comparative results between the virtual and real sensors are satisfactory with an accuracy of 99.59% for classification and a root mean squared error value of 0.01 for regression. Furthermore, a prototype was developed, and the model was embedded in the ESP32 microcontroller.

This paper presents the design of a Radio Frequency IDentification antenna (RFID Antenna) in Super-High-Frequency band (SHF Band) radiated at the resonant frequency of 2.45 GHz, simulated with CST Studio electromagnetic simulation software. The patch antenna is a perfect electrical conductor, excited by a coaxial cable with a 50 Ohms impedance. The antenna is designed as a rectangular patch with a U-shaped slot of 35.5x26 mm(2) placed on a Rogers RO4350B substrate, dimension 71x47 mm(2). The antenna has a perfect adaptation and covers a frequency band of 2393.0-2569.5 MHz with a bandwidth of 176.5 MHz. Therefore, this bandwidth is sufficient for industrial applications that use wireless sensor networks for monitoring parameters like: temperature, humidity, and pressure.

Lifelong development allows animals and machines to adapt to changes in the environment as well as in their own systems, such as wear and tear in sensors and actuators. An important use case of such adaptation is industrial odor-sensing. Metal-oxide-based sensors can be used to detect gaseous compounds in the air;however, the gases interact with the sensors, causing their responses to change over time in a process called sensor drift. sensor drift is irreversible and requires frequent recalibration with additional data. This paper demonstrates that an adaptive system that represents the drift as context for the skill of odor sensing achieves the same goal automatically. After it is trained on the history of changes, a neural network predicts future contexts, allowing the context+skill sensing system to adapt to sensor drift. Evaluated on an industrial dataset of gas-sensor drift, the approach performed better than standard drift-naive and ensembling methods. In this way, the context+skill system emulates the natural ability of animal olfaction systems to adapt to a changing world, and demonstrates how it can be effective in real-world applications.

When we deploy sensors, we face severe problems to achieve resilience and robust coverage. It happens more in stochastic and dynamic environments. In this paper, we propose a hybrid framework which is a combination of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Voronoi Diagram method with context aware adaptation to fix the challenges. The proposed framework balances initial distribution of sensors and iterative optimization to enhance coverage, maintain k-coverage (k=3) and adapt to evolving scenarios even under critical situations like sensor failures. Experimental results highlight the performance of the proposed framework across the key scenarios: comparing coverage with or without context aware optimization quantifying the impact of random node failures, tracking cumulative recovery attempts and evaluating final coverage percentage. The results reveal that this hybrid framework maximizes the coverage and provides resilience to sensor failures. It also reallocates resources dynamically to maintain optimal deployment. This framework is suitable for getting more efficiency and minimal iterations of recovery while enhancing the robustness of the network. It also enlightens the adaptability in sensor performance and becomes very popular in modern applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The rapid growth of urbanization has led to an increasing need for efficient energy management systems to optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impacts. Wireless sensor technology emerges as a pivotal solution, providing advanced capabilities in real-time monitoring, control, and management of urban energy systems. This paper explores the practical applications of wireless sensor networks (WSN) in urban energy management, highlighting their role in smart grids, intelligent building systems, smart street lighting, public transportation, water management, and renewable energy integration.
