The aim of the presented article is to design a high frequency 3db slinky power divider for RF sensor applications which operates at 6 GHz frequency. The material used for the design of proposed structure is FR4 material commonly used for PCB design. This material is identified to have medium refractive index in the order of 4.6 which ensures minimizes structure and compatible with the exciting systems. The purpose of the proposed power divider is to handle the power in RF sensor network to ensure optimal functioning at high frequency RF systems. The size and frequency handling ability of the power divider is confined to FR4 material due to the advantage of the compatibility of the available RF systems. The entire structure is mathematically analysed followed by numerical solving and fabrication. The design of novel 3db slinky power divider for RF sensor applications at high frequency which provides higher bandwidth that can be appreciated and recommended for real time wireless sensing networks. This work starts with the understanding of Electromagnetic fundamentals for RF system design and its parametric properties like Insertion Loss, Return Loss, current distribution, Near Field Crosstalk (NFC), Far Field Crosstalk (FEC), radiation pattern and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR). Literature survey on various power divider for real time applications are studied. The need for the power divider circuits in RF sensors are identified and proposed a 3dB slinky power divider. Numerical solving of the proposed structure is done using the simulator and the validation of obtained results with the previous finding are done. Proper material selection is done based on the industry used products. advanced Design System (ADS) is used for simulation and parametric study of the power divider. The insertion loss with frequency plot with resonant frequency of 8.912 GHz is presented along with the return loss verses frequency plot. The proposed power divider is covering the frequency

This publication describes our scientific journey to reach the 4th version of a spherical Mach Effect sensor apparatus. This paper focuses specifically on recent refinements to and past performance of this novel scientific instrument. Much has been learned over the past two decades (since version 1) about how and when our sensor array system enables the possible detection of an electromagnetic interaction appearing consistent with one attributable to a Machian inertial interaction. This paper describes the sensor array in sufficient detail for others to replicate our findings viewable in other publications. The joint probability that these 11 independent results could have been achieved by random chance is very low. The detector would appear to 'point' in the direction of one of three gravitational targets;the Sun, the center of our Milky Way galaxy or the center of our Virgo supercluster of galaxies. This work may challenge the current view of the role empiricism must play in building a more robust, fact-based and scientific view of reality. In this venue showcasing the latest technologies and applications in electrical, computer and mechatronic engineering we contend that a sensor system should be considered a scientific device based upon its ability to create repeatable evidence from nature, which our evolving devices now regularly do. © 2023 IEEE.

Acetone gas sensing finds application in several fields such as biomedical applications, food industry, chemical manufacturing and environmental monitoring. Often, such applications require good sensing performance and portability of the sensing devices. This paper proposes a conductometric gas sensor based on a thin-film of Nb2O5 able to detect acetone at the sub-ppm level with good selectivity and repeatability. The quite small dimensions and the low power consumption make the proposed sensor suitable for portable applications. © 2021 IEEE.

Over the recent years, several aquatic applications rely on promising networking techniques like the underwater acoustic sensor network (UWSN) for data exchange. UWSN exhibits certain challenges like high energy consumption, low bandwidth, and high latency while building network protocols. The UWSN routing issue is addressed in this paper by introducing a lifetime aware, energy efficient, adaptive, deep learning enabled software-defined radio-based routing protocol for underwater acoustic sensor networks. The network development risks are largely reduced and the flexibility is increased using a novel paradigm called Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Distribution of the sensor nodes and their residual energy helps in prolonging the network lifetime using generic MAC protocols. An adequate number of nodes are selected for forwarding the packets by calculating the reward function throughout the routing process while distributing the residual energy of each node among a group of nodes. A deep reinforcement learning algorithm is used for optimization of this routing protocol by reducing the throughput and delay. Network lifetime, latency, energy efficiency, and packet delivery rate of the proposed model is compared with the existing models. Simulation is performed on Aqua-sim platform. From the results of simulation, it is evident that the proposed model increases the network lifetime by 15% when compared to the conventional techniques. © 2022 IEEE.

BLDC motors provide excellent performance, durability, and efficiency, making them ideal for a variety of applications. The motor was operated by means of the six-step commutation process of the trapezoidal control approach, which was applied to the exact rotor position data obtained via Hall effect sensors. This approach perfectly times the commutation sequence, reducing torque ripple and improving motor performance. The design, modeling, and experimental findings validated the effectiveness of the proposed control technique, suggesting that it can be used to maximize BLDC motor performance in commercial and industrial applications.

The increasing frequency and severity of forest and land fires have become a significant environmental concern, necessitating the development of effective early detection and prediction systems. This paper presents a novel approach to address the issue through the implementation of a multi-sensor network system for forest and land fires. The proposed system integrates an array of advanced multi-sensors strategically placed across the targeted regions to capture and analyze a wide range of fire-related data. The key objective of the system is to enable timely identification of potential fire hotspots by continuously monitoring various environmental parameters, including temperature, humidity, and infrared radiation. The collected data is then processed and analyzed using machine learning algorithms to identify fire patterns and predict the likelihood of fire outbreaks. The system utilizes a network of sensors, and the system offers real-time and comprehensive coverage, allowing for rapid response and timely deployment of fire suppression resources. Furthermore, the results of extensive field tests and evaluations, demonstrate the system's accuracy and efficiency in early fire detection and prediction. The proposed system offers a case in Indonesia which is Riau Province with high-risk cases almost every year. Plotting results data achieved and forecasting of the incident for the future in the year 2023 with a successful percentage up to 93.6%. Ultimately, the integration of the multi-sensor network system into existing fire management frameworks promises to enhance emergency response capabilities and foster proactive measures to preserve our valuable forests and lands. © 2023 IEEE.

This project aims to develop an advanced and cost-effective solution to enhance safety in various environments by preventing collisions between objects. Employing Arduino microcontrollers and a range of sensors, the system operates in real-time to identify obstacles and take immediate corrective actions. This article presents an improved position control method of an overhang-type rail system considering a curved path. The designed system is driven by two BLAC (brushless ac) motors, and the moving position is controlled based on the signal from a simple Hall position sensor mounted on the motor without any absolute position sensors. The rail is composed of both linear and curved paths. For the linear rail, the two motors are controlled to rotate in the same speed. However, in a curved path, the two motors must have different moving distance according to the curvature. Generally, in order to determine the proper motion commands for both traction motors, the actual curvature state and position have to be detected by a potentiometer or an encoder equipped with linear position sensor, but this method significantly increases complexity and cost of the system. This article aims to solve this problem by using a low-cost semiconductor IMU (inertia measurement unit) to estimate the actual rail condition. The IMU will then estimate the heading angle variation to compensate the motion commands for the two BLAC motors without any additional external absolute sensors. As a result, a balanced and improved motion can be achieved for an arbitrary rail path. Practical experiments using an overhang-type rail traction system were performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme. The results show the advanced control performance in both linear and curved path, and also a smooth transition between them both.

In remote sensing, the conversion of sensor recorded radiance for each pixel in a scene to surface reflectance is a first step in many diagnostic analysis tasks. This process, known as reflectance conversion, is vital in the production of accurate information for a variety of applications, one of which is precision agriculture. Several calibration methods have been explored in previous research and are widely used today, with two of these being the empirical line method (ELM) and the at-altitude radiance ratio (AARR). The AARR approach is attractive to remote sensing practitioners as it allows reflectance conversion to be carried out in real-time throughout data collection, accounting for changes in illumination conditions, which can substantially reduce collection setup and subsequent data analysis time/effort. Illumination changes during a collection greatly influence the recorded scene radiance, which can confuse subsequent analysis results. While ELM has been demonstrated to report lower error when compared to AARR, the error introduced is often times acceptable depending on the application requirements and natural variation in the reflectance of the targets of interest. An onboard, downwelling irradiance spectrometer integrated onto a small unmanned aircraft system as part of this research is utilized to characterize the expected error in generated reflectance at varying aircraft altitudes and is cross compared to the ELM approach. Although the error introduced by AARR is larger when compared to ELM, this study allows the reader to determine if the ease of collection afforded by this real-time reflectance conversion methodology produces sufficiently accurate data for their particular remote sensing application.
